How do I remove "Skip navigation elements to page contents" display?

I have a JSF page that displays a message "Skip navigation elements to page contents" at the top of the rendered page. Any idea why this is happening and how to remove?

Strike the copy/paste theory. The issue occurs even with a newly created page when I have a panelpageheader and panelpage combination. Here is the code:

  • Skip navigation elements to page contents in Weblogic standalone server

I'm running JDev 11.1.1.0.1 and 10.3 stand-alone weblogic server. Due to the problem with IE6 and rich text objects, I've redone my application using trinidad components. The rich text version of the app ran fine on both the integrated and stand-alone server (using firefox 3). The trinidad version runs fine in the integrated server, but on the stand-alone server, the following link appears at the top of the page and command buttons do not work (in both firefox and IE 6):
Skip navigation elements to page contents
    From faces-config.xml:
    <application>
    <default-render-kit-id>org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.core</default-render-kit-id>
    </application>
    From trinidad-config.xml:
    <skin-family>minimal</skin-family>
Anyone know what I need to do to get this working on the stand-alone server?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
correct, this warning is not relevant to the problem
Did you try to delete the existing css file
    WEB-INF\temp\adf\styles\cache\oracle-desktop-<....>.css
If this doesn't help, have a look at
Have a look at: 10.1.3.1 : Skip navigation elements to page contents
Though this thread talks about ADF Faces, not Trinidad, the issue with an invalid CSS file might be the same if you added your custom skin. As a last hint to give, how did you replace or convert the af:html, af:body elements (if used). These are handling the skin loading

  • Drawing problems in Minefield interface elements and page content

Some sort of graphic related problem with Minefield nightly builds.
I'm not an expert, but it looks like the problem is with semi transparent pixel drawing. Might this be related with graphics hardware?
Here is the screenshot, how it looks:
    http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/2536/ffinterface1.png
In the picture the problem is well seen on the TAB headers and vertical line with a pattern in a page illustrates the problem in displaying transparent elements in page content.
When interactive interface elements are mouseovered (paticularly "close tab" buton), the distortion around changes.

  • How do I remove a navigation pane in acrobat reader XI

How do I remove at all a navigation pane on the left  in acrobat reader XI? It is really very annoying remove it hundred times using the right mouse button.

Every time I open a new pdf file, there a navigation bar appears on the left (see screen). I do not need it and it really bothers when I working by place two parallel windows on the screen. For sure it can be removed by clicking the right mouse button. But it must be done every time, and it tires.
How can I make this navigation bar does not appear, I do not know. I looked on the internet, but found nothing. Probably, in principle, developers could leave the pane on the machine on default, but to make an easy way to remove it and save the settings for the future opening new files.

  • Remove Detailled Navigation on certain page?

    Hi all,
I would like not to remove detailled navigation at all, but on a certain page.
It´s the page, which appears when you click "personalize" in the masthead area.
Somebody know, how to do this?
    Best regards
    Davor

    Hi,
You can delete the detailed Navigation iView from the Framework page which will remove it permanently.
But in case you want this to appear/disappear only on few pages then the only option provided in Portal configurations is to change the property Initial State of Navigation Panel in the corresponding Views.

  • When importing XML, how do I remove lines with labels but no content?

I am working on a directory whose content is supplied as an XML file. I've created an automatic layout with static text/labels for contact details (e.g. Phone, Fax).
When I import the file, superfluous lines with the static text and no content are created. I have 'Delete elements, frames and content that do not match imported XML' checked.
Is there a way of avoid creating these? I've tried doing a search and replace to remove these but this causes quite a few other problems.
    Any help - much appreciated!

    Hi Alison,
Did you create the posted XML file by extracting it from a larger file you've been using successfully? I ask because there seem to be a couple of problems with it which make me wonder how you got it to work at all, at least with the provided InDesign file's XML structure:
The immediate child element of the "root" element in the XML document is one called "step2 ". All of the values with which you are concerned are children of that "step2" element, and yet the structure in the InDesign document contains no "step2" element. As a result, when I import, I get nothing at all in my InDesign document's content (though the data are in the XML structure, buried in a newly-created "step2" element.
In both the XML and the InDesign document's XML structure, you have two different elements which are both named the exactly the same - "description" - (actually, in the XML document, there are three of them). When InDesign imports XML, it stops after the first "match" that it finds, so this will not work in any way that I imagine you intend it to. Based on the content of your InDesign document, I would think there ought to be two separate elements in your XML - named something like "step_description" and "category_description".
If, after getting this all straightened out, your question is how to somehow make the text of an empty element (e.g., <description></description>) disappear in the imported result, there are a few possibilities:
Get rid of the text inside the tag markers in your template/base document - for example, instead of having "[step_description]" (where the "[]" represent the tag markers), just make it be "[]". That way, if there is no text value for "step_description", there will be no text left after the import. However, if you put a end-of-paragraph in your template/base file, that will still be there. In most cases, that's not desired, so you might want to put the empty tag ("[]") in the text flow without a carriage return/line break. If you do that, you will need to include the carriage return in the XML data (which admittedly slightly violates the notion of separating presentation from content). Rather than the xml looking like this:
<step_description>This is the text of my step description.</step_description> you would need to make it be this:
<step_description>This is the text of my step description.&#13;</step_description>
(having added "&#13;" to represent the carriage return (ASCII character 13).
As above, make the tag an empty one, include the carriage return in your InDesign template/base document, and then write (or have written) a script to run after the XML import to deal with such empty tag cases.
Upgrade to InDesign CS3, CS4, or soon, CS5, so you can take advantage of the "XML Rules" feature which was introduced in CS3. XML Rules will essentially allow you to automate the second option - running a script - as the XML import is taking place.
Excuse the long (and probably unclear) post. If I've misunderstood your question, then please excuse it doubly...

  • Can someone tell me how to permanently remove the navigation bar so that a user cannot put it back himself. i do not want users to be able to browse to the local c:\ through this navigtion bar. using firefox 7. thanks

i have locked down a client using policy editor for Windows 7.
and i want to restrict a user to one website only via a firefox shortcut on the desktop and to restrict their access to the local system drive which is currently vulnerable using the navigation bar. i know how to right click and rmeove but the user can put this back himself quiet easily and then browse anywhere on the local machine or web.

    Even then it won't work.<br />
If the location bar is hidden then you can use Ctrl+L to bring up a pop-up with a location bar.
You would probably need to run Firefox in a sandbox that doesn't allow access to the local file system to get that working properly.

  • How can I remove the rowset element

    Hi,
Does anybody have an example of how to use the xmlformat object. The documentation says there is a setenclosingelementname method which enables you to change (and hopefully remove) <rowset> to something else, but I can't seem to find an example of its use in the documentation
I have generated my XML using sys_xmlagg in version 9.2.0.4
Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hi,
Though I have not used this package I think the following may help you.
While using dbms_xmlquery to get the XML , there's one built-in by name dbms_xmlquery.setrowsettag
which helps you to change the rowset tag.

  • How can I remove an image background in pages?

I want to know how to remove image backgrounds just like how you do so through "instant alpha" on a mac.

    Hi Erika,
Are you trying to save a portion of an image with a transparent background? It may help to post a screenshot of the image that you're working with as well as your layers panel.
I've included a few tips below that may help you with your situation. If you need additional help, please feel free to post again
Deleting a background and saving an image with a transparent background
    1. Here I am working with an image of a santa hat that I've cut out from a white background. I have two layers, the cut-out santa hat and the original file. I'm going to delete the background layer so that I have just one layer - the cut-out santa hat:
    2. You'll see that a checkerboard pattern has appeared behind the santa hat. This means that the background is transparent.
    3. You can then go to File > Save As... and select PNG, Photoshop PSD, or TIFF from the Format dropdown menu. These file formats will save the cut-out portion of your image on its own, while preserving the transparent background.

  • How do I remove items from duplicates (child pages) of Master Page?

I am trying to remove an element from a copy of a master page. Basically, I inserted 18 pages into our document, and only on the first of those pages can I go into the layers, select the rectangle (shown in the photo as the smaller square or inset on the larger square) and delete it. However, when I try to do that to the others, it's not selectable and it doesn't show up in the layers. The photo shows what I am trying to remove.
Note: I do not want to change the master page — I just want to take this one item off of the duplicate pages I have created.
The tutorials I found on Adobe aren't really helpful bc I am so new to this program and don't know where to find the things they tell me to use. My version is CS6.

Override this item, use the selection tool and hold down cmd/ctrl + shift key when selecting this object.

  • How do you remove a template from a page?

I want to remove a template from some of my pages and can't
    figure out how to??

The much better thing to do is to modify the template to
    accommodate the
different layouts - that way, everything is still under
    template control,
and you don't have to remember to also change things in those
    pages you have
    detached.
