How do i stop the popup window that keeps asking me to import my bookmarks to firefox "hey there! do you want to backup your bookmarks by importing them to firefox?" It keeps popping up and its really annoying. Help!!!

I think I solved it.
I searched my extensions folder (in my profile) for all image files (PNG and JPG), and found the pop-up images to be in an extension folder related to Firefox Sync (not an external extension, actually). But even though I had already disabled it and un-linked this computer from Firefox Sync, the message still popped-up.
I think the image filename was SYNC.PNG, or something like that. Close Firefox, find the folder where that image is in, and rename the main folder (the one right under the extensions folder) to some other name (such as "original name_copy"). Then start Firefox. Check if it works OK and if the pop-up ceases to appear. If everything OK, then you can delete that folder.
If something goes wrong, just rename the folder to what it was before.

How can I stop the popup insisting that I register a printer that I no longer have or use?
The popup screen keeps appearing on a random basis even though I click "don't remind me again." It's very annoying.

The pop up is usually run as a scheduled task, so open windows Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and open Task Scheduler. Left click once on Task Scheduler Library to highlight it and look for an entry called 'Webreg'. Left click this once to highlight it, then right click and select Disable. Restart the Pc for the change to take effect.

What is the specific message you are getting?
If it's asking for a password, then enter it and you should be good. If you don't know the password, then I would probably recommend reseting your keychain entirely. Your keychain keeps saved password for certain websites and programs but in my expereince the average user is not tremendously affected by reseting the keychain. It's just a matter at that point of reentering your passwords manually if you've gotten used to them populating automatically.

If you don't have an icloud account, then icloud is not the thing that's popping up a window.
If you are being asked to enter a password when accessing itunes, then the problem may be that you have purchased items (apps, songs, etc) on the device that were purchased using a different itunes account than the one you currently have defined on your device.
Purchased items are forever associated with the itunes account (the apple ID) that was used to make the purchase. If you change the ID on the device, you won't be able to update any of them. You'll have to purchase them again. -

I am getting the popup window that says my startup disk is almost full. I have transfered most of my photos to an external HD, deleted most of my iTunes library, and emptied the trash. The problem is that with these steps, the diskspace did not increase at all-not even a megabyte. Any ideas why or how to fix it?

Something is causing Word to lock up. Restart the laptop and/or reinstall Office/Word to fix the instability. Maybe even a bad plugin or document could be causing this if it's only happening when you open a particular doc.

Change your settings in Sharing preferences, for one, and remove the server out of the Finder's sidebar. Obviously, this is the result of transfering all your other computer's preferences to your new computer.

Whether I am using Firefox 3.6.8 or Thunderbird 3.0.6, clicking on a pdf file opens a new window. After a few seconds the pdf file opens in a separate Adobe Reader window. When I am done with that and close it, I still have to go back and close out the blank window. Got to be a configuration issue some place. I have tried several settings under Tools/Options, but haven't found the right setting yet. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much for the reply. I followed your instructions. This fixed half of the problem. Links to pdf files that are on web pages now come up with a box that asks if I want to open or save the file, without a blank browser window in the background. That is great.
When I tested the fix with pdf file links in email, the problem still exists. I tested links in Outlook Express, Yahoo mail, and Gmail. Any time I click on a pdf link in an email, a blank Firefox window opens and then I get the small window that asks me if I want to open or save the file. Sounds like this is a configuration issue, not a technical problem. Thanks for your help. -
How do I stop an "invalid password" notification popup from popping up continually?From the first time I entered a wrong Mobile Me password, even when I am not trying to access my account, it continually pops up over whatever I have on the screen. I can drag it down out of the way, but when I hit the "ok" button, in a few seconds, it pops back up again. Help, this is so annoying!
Try opening Keychain Access (found in /Applications/Utilities), then locate your MobileMe password there (it'll have the same name as your MobileMe username, and will have a MobileMe icon) and delete it.
