How do i take podcasts out of my itunes12 library? i don't want them mixed in with my songs!

The podcasts in the new iTunes12 appear inside the body of my songs library. How do I keep them separate? There doesn't seem to be an option.

I just discovered a solution! Go to the upper right hand corner in Firefox where the search bar is. Click on the icon and you'll get a drop-down menu. Go to "manage search engines". You can then delete all the no-good ones, like Bing and Yahoo.

  • How can I make a weekly 'to do' list?  I don't want the list associated with a particular date and time; just a list of things to get done!

    How can I make a weekly 'to do' list? I don't want it associated with a particular day or or time, just the week, preferably with the ability to check off or remove when done.

    Thank you for the excellent reference Peddi. I had played with the OAMessageChoiceBean component yesterday, but I was able to tell from your instructions that "Picklist Display Attribute" and "Picklist Value Attribute" really are not for binding to the database EO. That was the key piece of information that had me confused.
    In addition to adding the messageChoice component to the page, I needed to write some code to synchronize the picklist value with the corresponding code value, which I placed in am OAFormValueBean (hidden form field) which I could then bind to my application's database EO in the controller, running in the processFormRequest procedure:
    /** Synchronize the catalog code with the selected catalog name */
    protected void syncCatalogValues(OAPageContext pageContext,
    OAWebBean webBean, MyApplicationAMImpl am) {
    OAMessageChoiceBean mcb =
    (OAMessageChoiceBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("CatalogName");
    OAFormValueBean cc =
    (OAFormValueBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("CatalogCode");
    String catalogDescription = mcb.getText(pageContext);
    if (catalogDescription != null) {
    String catalogCode = am.getCatalogCode(catalogDescription);
    cc.setValue(pageContext, catalogCode);
    Along with a little code to get the catalogCode value from the LOVVO, that's all it took.
    Thanks again. This was a great help.

  • Because of a PC problem I have lost all my music from iTunes Library.  All my music is still on my Nano (1st generation).  How can I safely transfer my music into my library, I don't want to risk losing it.

    Because of a PC problem, I have lost the entire contents of my iTunes Library.  I still have all my music on my Nano (1st generation).  Is there a way of safely transferring my music from my Nano into iTunes Library.  I would hate to lose it all.

    Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer is based on you maintaining your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is purchased content.
    iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
    For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will probably have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

  • How do I delete a photo from an album?  I don't want to ctrl   delete b/c I don't want to delete it forever.  It just landed in the wrong album (there is a copy in the correct album and the wrong album)

    I've got photos organized into projects by year, folder by month and then broken into albums within the months (mom of young kids).  When I was creating albums yesterday, I didn't notice a little box that says "do you want to put selected photos in album?"  So every time I created a new album, it put the photo that I had been working on in that album.  I want that photo (in the album in which it belongs), so I don't want to ctrl+delete.  But I don't want that photo in 10 other albums.  How can I get it out of the albums where I don't want it?

    In addition to johngrussel's suggestion the delete key by itself will run the Remove from Album comand.
    Note that's the delete key with no modifier.Command-delete will delete the version from the project.

    You would have to let them download then delete them.
    You can try contacting itunes and asking if they will remove it,

  • How do I separate Podcasts out of Song List?

    My podcasts are mingling in with my Music. They are separated in my library, but combine in my iPod Nano (2nd Gen). I tried Restoring & Updating versions which didn't help.

    I have a question about doing the opposite: How do I take podcasts and put them (permanently) into my Music part of my library. For the mp3 podcasts it doesn't seem to be too hard, other than changing the "genre" from "podcast" to "speech" or "travel" or whatever and then re-loading them into the library.
    But I'm having a problem with some (but not all) podcasts that are in m4a format (usually the "enhanced" podcasts with still images). Even if I change the genre to something other than podcast (in fact, some already come with genre not "podcast") and make sure the "category" is not podcast, I still have trouble getting them into "music" and out of "podcast" the way I can mp3 files.
    I've tried deleting the podcast from my library and then moving the source folder containing the m4a files to something other than the iTunes folder and then using "add folder to library" or "add file to library." For some this does the trick and puts them into "music." But some are absolutely stalwart in their insistence on being podcasts!
    Is there a "tag" somewhere in m4a files that says that they are podcasts (after I've downloaded them, and they're sitting on my computer) that makes iTunes put them into the podcast library?

    You cannot.  If it is in recovery mode, the data is already gone.
    Did you fail to make sure everything was on your computer before updating?

    Ok, I had a glitch, forced to restart, and lost my train of thought.
    Reinstalling iTunes should fix the major issue that might have gone wrong, perhaps your explaination points will disappear and everything will be peachy again.
    But if they don't, you can open the XML file in iTunes Folder using a Text edit program to see what the common pathname is to the iTunes Music folder or where your content is located.
    If you moved the itunes folder, it needs to go back.
    I can't  download iTunes to my Vista virtual machine to test it out right now because iTunes is down, so I can't verify the pathname, perhaps your issue and the iTunes being down are related somehow?
    You don't want to import all your music again, but it's a option, but you lose all your playlists, that's what I'm trying to recover.
    If oyu don't have a whole lot of playlists, then simply select all the explaimation point music and delete, select File from the menu and import your itunes folder again.

    Thanks; however, I was really referring to this: if it is preinstalled on a Mac, I believe the license is for that computer only (unlike an MAS purchased version which can be used on any Mac owned). Has that requirement changed?
    At this moment, that's correct. The OS X license included with a Mac can only be used with that Mac. However, in the case the OP has purchased OS X Mountain Lion in the past, this may change

    How can I find iTunes 10.1 for windows.  I don't want the cloud, and my iPod touch won't go back to prior versions.

    Had the same problem. Also worked fine on my MacBook, but not on my new iMac. Here's what I did to fix it:
    Archive and Reinstall Mac OS (takes about 40 minutes). This reverted my system back to 10.6.2. Just pop in your Mac OS disc that came with your computer. Mine had 10.6.2 on it, and "Archive and Install" is the default option. When it's done, run software update and update everything. Now it all works fine.
    Somewhere along the way, some file got corrupted somehow. But doing an "archive and install" of your OS undoes whatever file damage was incurred, and allows everything to update normally via Software Update as it should.
