How do I transfer PDF documents to my iPad from my PC?

A few weeks ago, I was able to transfer PDF documents from my PC to my iPad, because there was a menu on the left side of the display that allowed me to do this using a simple drag and drop process.  For some reason, this menu has gone away and I do not know where it went and how to restore it.  Without this menu, I have no idea how to move PDFs from my PC to my iPad.  Any insight or help that anyone would care to provide will be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.

Forget everything that has been posted to this point for a few minutes.
When your iPad is connected to the PC with iTunes running, you should see an icon in the upper left next to 3 dots ...
It looks like a rectangle. That icon shows that you iPad is connected to the computer and that iTunes sees the device. Click on that icon and you should see your iPad name and a little picture of an iPad. Click on your iPad name in there in order to select it.
Now you should be able to go to File>Add to Library and select your pdf files. The sidebar should be visible now as well so click on Books on the left - in the sidebar - and then select the pdf files in the books window on the right that you want to sync. Then sync your iPad.

    how do i transfer pdf comics(in cloudreader on ipad) tomy macbook pro?

    Ihead-
    I'm not familiar with Cloudreader, but it may be one of the Apps that can transfer files via iTunes.
    Connect your iPad to your computer and run iTunes.  Select the iPad under DEVICES and click on the Apps tab at the top of the window.  Scroll down to File Sharing and look for Cloudreader in the list of Apps.  If it is there, click on it and see if your PDF documents are in the Documents window or inside a folder in that window.
    So see inside a folder, you may have to "Save To" your computer, and open it there.

  • How can i transfer a movie into my ipad from a different computer?

    I had the original ipad. I download a digital copy of a movie into my personal laptop however all movies are downloaded originally from my wife's Macintosh. When I plug in the ipad into my Sony laptop, it states 'all movies will be lost" if I place the movie from a different computer. How can I transfer the movie into my ipad?

    Put the movie onto whatever computer you use to sync.  Move the movie into i tunes, and sync.

    How do I transfer a pdf document from my pc to my iOS device?  How do I tranfer a pdf document from my iOS device to my pc?

    The document Charu mentioned is great, but it is slightly out of date and missing one important method that I use frequently. I like to go to http://files.acrobat.com and upload files to my Acrobat.com account. The uploader there allows me to upload multiple documents at the same time (shift clicking on them on my PC or cmd-clicking on them on my Mac). Then, I connect my Adobe Reader to my Acrobat.com account and I can see all of those files!

  • How do I transfer PDF doc to my iPad?

    How do I transfer a PDF document from my MBP to my iPad2? I see no "document" section in the iTunes sync function. I tried emailing the document to myself as an attachment and i can open it but saving it is not an option (that I can see). Is it possible? Any advice will be appreciated.

    You first need an app on the iPad if you want to save it there - the iPad doesn't have a file system like a 'normal' computer, each file/document has to be stored/associated with an app. The free iBooks app supports PDFs, or there are other free (e.g. the Adobe Reader app) and paid-for (e.g. GoodReader) apps that support PDFs.
    To get PDFs to iBooks on your iPad, then you can sync them from your computer. You can add PDFs to iTunes either by dragging and dropping or via  File > Add Folder To Library and they should then appear in the Books section of your iTunes Library (if Books doesn't show on the left-hand side of your iTunes then make sure that it's ticked on the General tab in Edit > Preferences). You can then sync it to the iPad via the Books tab on the right-hand side of iTunes (similar to how you sync other content to the iPad)
    Or, once you've downloaded iBooks onto the iPad, the touch and hold the attachment and you should get an option to 'open in iBooks'

    Hi,
    How can in open MS Word & PDF files in the application server/any other PC in network, from the Client. I am using forms 10g.

    Hi ,
    But it is not working. I think u mean the below code that I copied from the Webutil Document.
    However, when you change this code to use CLIENT_OLE2 (using search-and-replace)
    it doesn’t work.The following example is code which will convert to CLIENT_OLE2:
    DECLARE
    app CLIENT_OLE2.OBJ_TYPE;
    docs CLIENT_OLE2.OBJ_TYPE;
    doc CLIENT_OLE2.OBJ_TYPE;
    selection CLIENT_OLE2.OBJ_TYPE;
    args CLIENT_OLE2.LIST_TYPE;
    BEGIN
    -- create a new document
    app := CLIENT_OLE2.CREATE_OBJ('Word.Application');
    CLIENT_OLE2.SET_PROPERTY(app,'Visible',1);
    docs := CLIENT_OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(app, 'Documents');
    doc := CLIENT_OLE2.INVOKE_OBJ(docs, 'add');
    selection := CLIENT_OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(app, 'Selection');

  • How do I transfer m4v file to my iPad from my iMac?

    Good day,
    I'm quite new to the Apple world...
    I would like to know how to transfer m4v movies currently on my iMac to my iPad. Seems like I have no luck through iTune.

    First make sure you've added the movies to iTunes, then follow the other instructions to sync from iTunes to iPad.
    Alternatively, upload the movie to a Shared Photo Stream from your Mac, then access it that way from your iPad.  The resolution will be cut down a bit, but maybe that won't matter to you.

  • HT1692 HOW  CAN I TRANSFER MY CONTACTS TO MY IPAD FROM MY PHONE?

    I would like to have the same contacts I have in my phone in the Ipad. I have a Samsung Note cel phone. How can I do this. I actually did not register my Ipad iin a cellular plan eventhough my Ipad has the celullar option.

    if you can get the contacts onto your computer you can sync htem to your iPad.
    The tedious but works way can be to mail them to yourself from your phone, then open that mail on your iPad and save it from there.

    I've tried a few different method without much success.
    Can someone help!!!?!?!!?!?!?
    Hope your all having a beautiful day

    Emailing them is the easiest way there is IMO.
    You can drag the PDFs into the books section of iTunes and then sync them to the iPad (if you have iBooks on the iPad). You can use DropBox if you have that on your PC and the iPad. And you can use iOS file sharing as well if you have Adobe Reader, Good Reader or Save2 PDF or another PDF files sharing app on the iPad.

    Hi olivias,
    It sounds like there may be some confusion on your system about what application should be associated with PDF files. You can reset filename associations by following the steps in these articles (depending on your operating system):

  • How do I transfer PDF files from PC to IPAD using Itunes 12.1.2.  Previous versions let me drag file in Itunes to Ipad and files appeared under Ibook but can't get it to work in latest 12.1.2 version.

    How do I transfer PDF files from PC (Windows 7) to IPAD using Itunes 12.1.2.  I would like to do files manually rather then auto synch.  Previous versions let me drag file in Itunes to Ipad and files appeared under Ibook and then I could move them to an appropriate collection title.  The interface appears to have changed in the latest ITunes version and I am not sure what the proper procedure is.

    King_Penguin - Thanks it worked perfectly.  I had my pdf files copied into ITunes on my PC but when I clicked on a pdf file to copy it I thought the sidebar would appear with my IPAD name and then I would drag it over.  I didn't realize that I needed to click-and start dragging it towards the left-hand side for the sidebar to appear.  It worked like a charm - THANKYOU!!!
