How do you create a graph in numbers with different x-values?

For my chemistry class I have to create one scatter plot with three different sets of "x" and "y" values. I have done it before but it is not working. What is an easy way to accomplish this?

All X and Y data has to be in regular cells, nothing in header rows or header columns. It should be organized as X1,Y1,X2,Y2, etc.
Select all the data
Choose to make a scatter chart
At the bottom left of the Numbers window there is a little text box that probably says "Plot Columns as Series". Click on it and unselect "Share X Values"
It is beyond me why Apple put that control in the bottom left corner in a place where you wouldn't think to look because it is far from the chart and far from the table and far from all the other controls you will be using to create and format the chart..

Hi there,
I want to create a business letter template with a different second page. I already managed to create a different layout on page nr two, but
whenever I write a letter with this template and I reach the end of page one, pages creates a thrid page in between my page nr one and nr two with a mixture of the layout of template page nr two and the footer of page nr one.
I want pages to take my template page nr two (with different header and footer) as second page instead of creating one itself.
If I don't need a second page - because my letter is to short - I should not have to delete a second page. It simply should not be there...

Hello Stefan,
you achieve this with a little trick. Create your letter and set the layout for the first and the second page by inserting a placeholder text. This placeholder text should fill the first page and the top of the second page, so both pages are build in one section. When the entire letter is layouted well, select the placeholder text and than save the letter as a template.
Now every time you open this template, you only have to insert the main text (replace the placeholder text with real content), and the second page disappears until the main text overflows the borders of the first page. Than you will get the second page again with the layout you have created for it.
I hope this will work for you like it works fine for me.

All are drop down lists. You will see that it LOOKS correct in terms of Q1. But when I change one of the responses to male and select just those two cells, then create a pie chart, I only get a full blue circle again!
What cells do I click?

=COUNTIF(Table 1::$7:$7,"Female")
If the cells are on the same table as the data, "Table 1::" is omitted.

There is no 'none' button for selecting a method payment when creating an apple ID account. HELP!!!

Did you follow, exactly, the instructions on the HT2534 page that you posted from when creating the account ? I've just tried those instructions and got the 'none' option on a new account

If not, and if you don't want to enter credit card details (you should be able to remove them after entering them) then you will need to create a new account, using the instructions on the HT2534 page when creating it. If you want to use the same email address then you will need to replace it on that account first e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

How do you automate a list of numbers with specific attributes?

I was told you can do this but not sure how. Basically I have to label all the racking in my warehouse at work.
It goes rack#/column/row (ex. 1A1)
racks 1-3 are 5 high. 4-9 are 4 high.
racks 1-2 have 22 letters racks 3-6 have 26 letters racks 7-8 have 28 letters rack 9 has 20 letters
It will end on 9T4
I've done all the math and it will take 996 pages. I could do it one by one but it would take forever. Is there a simpler way? Each page will be 11x8.5 (landscape).

With Data Merge you set up a template document containing field placeholders, and format it to your liking. The merge proces duplicates wahtever you set up. You can do either a single record (row in Excel) or as many as will fit on a page. Read about it in the Help files -- teh expalanation there is very good.
You can do something very simliar by adding a text frame to a master page and setting a paragraphh style that suits you for formatting, along with a Keep Option to start on next page. Then just place the saved text file using File > Place.... holding down the shift key to autoflow the entire list (click the loaded text cursor in the area of the empty master text frame).

That scene could be a problem.
The guy through the doorway is easy as is one of the two guys at the refridgerator.
But as soon as one of those two guys crosses the other, a 30 minute edit just became an hour of pain and suffering, or more, to edit each and every frame individually. If you are practiced at it, then fine. Otherwise, plan to devote an hour per frame for the first few frames.
Also, when you shoot the scene, you must, I repeat, MUST have your lighting under control. No sunshine, no stars, no Moon, nothing external coming in anywhere. Otherwise, if your lighting changes, you will spend a LOT of time fixing it, and it still won't be perfect.
One other thing. Your tripod has to be very sturdy and locked down absolutely tight. The slightest movement will completely ruin the scene.
However, with proper lighting, a steady tripod, and an actor/actress who hits their marks and never crosses over the boundaries between characters, it is a pretty easy job to get two, three, or even more instances done in just a few minutes.

Select both cells and choose fill from the contextual menu.

Select all three columns of data. All three must be 'regular' columns, not Header columns, and the X values must be in the leftmost column.
Click the Charts button and choose the Scatter chart.
The resulting chart will initially show only the first and second columns of data, and the selection will have been reduced to show this.
Click the gear icon at the top left of the selection and choose Share X Values.
You should see a result similar to this:
Notes:
The values on my sample table contain a random element, so they have changed from thhe first image to the second.
The chart is as created by Numbers, with two edits:
Data points have been connected with curves, using the Chart nspector.
The curves were selected and their stroke increased to 2pts, using the stroke formating button in the format bar.

I would like to know how I can create a vertical accordion navigation with some custom modifications.
I need it to function like this sites vertical navigation. (link is below) Click on the parent page "bedrooms" and it expands revealing all of the "child pages" then click on one of the child pages, it turns the font to Underlined and all the child pages remain exposed! (it does not collapse after you click on a child page!!!!!!!) I need my site to do this as it tells the visiter where they are exactly on the site!     Please HELP ME! Thank You!
I would actually like mine to be a little more pronounced. Perhaps having the link turn to BOLD Font indicating you are on that page. And the main Parent page would have a diffrent background color.
