How does a voice gateway handle a call received from CUCM?

For example, I have a voice gateway configured via a SIP trunk as a device in CUCM. When our users dial the international pattern (8011!) and CUCM forwards that to the device(gateway) over the SIP trunk, how does the gateway handle that request in terms of matching dial-peers? Is it handled the same way a call incoming from the PSTN would be? By matching the destination pattern?
Ultimately what I'm trying to do is figure out whether our international calling is configured properly but that's difficult to do If I don't know what the gateway is doing with the call once it receives it from the CUCM.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, we have a conference call Monday and I'll try some debugging to see what's going on. I am a little more confused now if that's possible because my understanding is that they can make INTL calls but based off of the configs I've seen and what you've told me they should be able to. Below are my configs. There is a translation profile applied but it points to a blank rule. I also didn't see any transformations in the route pattern.

  • Cisco 2911 Voice Gateway SIP PSTN Calls Fail

    Hello All,
I am having trouble with outboud SIP PSTN calls through a Cisco 2911 Voice Gateway.  2911 VG terminates PSTN SIP Traffic and connects to Avaya CS1000M via QSIG PRI Trunks. When calls are attempted outbound fron the PBX the caller gets a fast busy.  Debug ISDN q931 shows the call hitting the 2911 properly, debug voip ccapi inout shows the call matching the correct dial peers and debug ccsip shows the invite to the PSTN Provider SBC, however within the invite the "from" address incorrectly shows the calling number with the provider SBC address (see below).  does anyone have any insight on how to correct this?  Attached are VG config and Debug isdn q931, voip ccapi inout, ccsip messages and ccsip call.  Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hello, I want to take unlimited call subscription to usa  so anyone tell me how much skype cost to take unlimited call subscription? It's shows $6.99/month but when I try to pay through cards it shows €4,99 what this means it's €499 or €4.99 please explane it, how much skype will charge? €4,99 or €4.99?

By default your currency is set to EUR and 4.99EUR is about the same as 6.99USD. (Depending on currency exchange rate at the time)
Unlimited US is 6.99USD or 4.99EUR depending on your currency. If you wish you can change your currency to USD from your account: https://secure.skype.com/account/

  • How does the iPhone 3G handle this???

If I save photos from my email, and there are multiple photos with the same name, how does the iPhone 3g behave? Since I can't see the filenames of the photos, I am unable to determine if any two images have the same filename.
Does the phone rename one? Overwrite one? What occurs??

That is exactly what I was talking about. I expected as much however I noticed the following occur. I save a photo from one source, and saved the exact same photo from another source (both have the same filename) I then deleted the first one that I saved, and both photos were deleted.
    Is that the proper behavoire?

  • Handling incoming caller ID from legacy PBX

    Hello,
At my company we're currently in the process of running Lync 2010 EV through a POC. Everything is working great at the moment except for incoming caller ID from the legacy PBX. When a call comes into Lync from the legacy PBX (either from a desk phone or
from outside the company), the legacy PBX replaces the actual 'from' number with the company's main number. Apparently this is due to the legacy PBX being old and masking the outbound caller ID information at a global level. (So basically ANY call that goes
outbound from the legacy PBX has the caller ID masked with the main number, no way to make exclusions. This has been verified by the vendor that services the legacy PBX.)
The problem this introduces on the Lync client is that in the address book everyone has the company's main number as their phone number, except with an extension at the end. So when a call comes in from the legacy PBX the Lync client quite literally randomly
picks someone from the address book and says the call is coming from the randomly picked person.
So far in my attempts to fix this, I've tried creating a contact in AD with a phone number of just the main number. This did not change anything from the Lync clients perspective, however when I miss a call that was sent from the legacy PBX, Outlook now
indicates that the missed call is from the contact object with the main number instead of saying I missed a call from some random person from the address book.
I've also looked into seeing if a MSPL script could intercept incoming audio requests and change the From parameter to something else if the From value was the main number. So far I haven't seen any examples of this, nor do I have a test environment to test
    MSPL scripts in yet.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done for the POC we're trying to do? Obviously if (more like 'when' really...) we decide to move everything over to Lync EV and pull the plug on the legacy PBX this won't be an issue, but right now I can't
even move forward with doing a POC outside of my team until I figure out something to do with the inbound caller ID.
    Thanks,
    Cody

How are you connected to the legacy PBX?  It might be easier to put a modification in a gateway if you're using one.
Also, why Lync 2010 instead of 2013?
What do you have set for the lineURIs of the users?  Is it the main number with extensions or a DID?

  • Can't establish a Voice gateway (cisco 2911) using SIP with CUCM 9.1

I have configured a Cisco 2911 as a Voice Gateway using SIP (the configuration is attached), but unfortunately can't establish a test call to a phone (CUPC 8.6 SCCP) using csim start. I have done logging the ccsip debug and ccapi debug and attached them. Could anyone help me to solve this problem?

I just did some research on my end and csim is not supported for SIP. The Invite will never be created and sent to the CUCM to initate the call. It disconnects in the router itself with normal cause.

  • How does Goods Issue know which Batches to deallocate from A/R Credit Memo?

    Hi,
I am creating an addon that runs after a A/R Credit Memo is created.  It creates a Goods Issue, and enters the Item Code and the Quantity from the line items on the Credit Memo into the Goods Issue.
After it writes the Goods Issue to SAP, I open up the document it created and see that the line items are in there correctly, and that somehow the batches assigned to those line items are also in there.
There is nothing in the code that does anything with the Batches, but somehow SAP knows which batches to work with.
I haven't been able to find any info about it.  Can you please help us understand what is happening?  How does SAP know and make assignments to batches in line items in Goods Issues?
    Thank you,
    Mike

    Hi Michael and Gordon,
Sorry Gordon, I'm quite sure you misunderstood Michael original question. Michael asked how the add-on he created could link corresponding batch number from an A/R Credit Memo document could be selected by Goods Issue document which generated by the add-on, while he actually never wrote a code to select any batches numbers which available in the system.
Maybe a little bit of illustration:
    1. Item A, qty 10 - (batch A qty 5, batch B qty 3, batch C qty 2)
    2. A/R Credit Memo occurred, return of Item A with 3 qty (batch A qty 1, batch B qty 1, batch D qty 1). Therefore, item A latest position should be (batch A qty 6, batch B qty 4, batch C qty 2, batch D qty 1). This A/R Credit Memo created by add-on.
    3. Goods Issue document triggered by add-on. The problem is, Michael never write any code to select any batch numbers, and somehow the system choose batch number precisely as occurred in number 2 (A/R Credit Memo document), which is (batch A qty 1, batch B qty 1, batch D qty 1). Therefore the stock position for Item A back to as being displayed in number 1.
I believe this shouldn't be possible at all. Unless, there is a certain mechanism in SAP that automatically choose batch number to used in Goods Issue document using LIFO (Last In First Out), which is, as far as I know never exist in any SAP B1 version. Yes you could automatically choose batch numbers according to available batch, but you could do this when system prompt you when you tried to issue certain document using SAP application itself, not using add-on.
And of course, you could write a code to choose certain batches based on certain A/R Credit Memo, but still, you need to write a code, you can't do this without a code, selection of batches is compulsory when you tried to add a goods issue document which consist of items that managed using batches.
In my opinion, I think it is better for you to re-write those codes and relate batches you want to attach with your Goods Issue document based on corresponding A/R Credit Memo. It is much safer, and the error message you encountered won't happen again in the future.

  • How does one prevent a column in a database from being visable to end users

I have a password column I would like to hide by default from any one with query access. How does one do this?

If you're on 10G you can use encryption.
First create a wallet en create the master encryption key with:
    alter system set encryption key identified by "<secretpwd>";
Then you can encrypt a column in a table with the command:
    alter table <tablename> modify <column> encrypt;
If the wallet is open you can query the column. If the wallet is closed you cannot query the column ....

  • How does 3.1's new "Genius Mix" differ from a Genius Playlist?

Hey guys I still haven't updated to 3.1 because of all the complaints and issues associated with it, but I was curious about one feature I'm missing out on... How does the new Genius Mix any different than an automated Genius Playlist that is made when you turn on Genius on your iPhone???
Genius just collects up to 25 songs by different artists in the same genre... What does Genius Mix do differently?
Thanks to anybody who answers me... I'm just curious, that's all.

Genius mixes are created in iTunes 9. It's like Genius, but different. Genius mixes come automatically.
"This new feature searches your iTunes library, finds songs that go great together, and creates multiple mixes you’ll love. All automatically. These mixes are like channels programmed entirely with your music. You may discover songs you never knew you had — and rediscover forgotten favorites."
iTunes will create up to 12 Genius mixes, like Rock Mix 1, Rock Mix 2, Oldies Mix, Alternative
Mix, etc. These are like radio stations created from your own music. The songs in the mix can't can't be listed.
Go here and scroll down to Genius Mix. http://www.apple.com/itunes/whats-new/

  • How does the Delta functionality works while updating Infocube from PA

    Hi Gurus
How does the Delta functionality works when you send forecast to the Info cube from the Planning Area.
As I have weekly based planning, every week we have to update the forecast into the Cube. If I update  every week into the Cube , then the values are going to append  in the Info cube.
Shall I create ODS in between the Planning area  and the Info cube .
    (or)
    Any other method ?
    Please Suggest.

    Hi Preetham,
Data Extraction from planning area to infocube usually its supports for full update only, when u r going to load the data from planning area to cube ,it deletes the previous data and u vil get the fresh data, this is the best method performance wise,
if u want to use the delta functionality u can go for planning area to Dso, Dso to cube, it vil supports the delta functionality, but it vil degrades the system performance,
    regards
