How does Detect() impact remaining character balance?
I have read a number of discussions here where Microsoft Translator declares that Detect() does not subtract from your account balance.
However, I'm seeing 1-2 characters substracted for each call we are making to Detect().
Can we please see some official character cost per call or can you explain why a couple characters are subtracted from our remaining balance with each Detect() call? Is it counting the characters *returned* by the API? Getting charged for a return value
of "fr" or "en" would explain what we're seeing...

Our OBIEE Oracle Business Intelligence 11.1.1.5 application running on Linux x86 (64-bit) and a 11.2.0.2.0 database is using the AL32UTF8 Unicode character.
So our database will support languages such as Japanese, Spanish etc.
But how does OBIEE deal with these? How do the webpages know that the content is UTF8 also?

At month-end Balance Sheet accounts containing balances expressed in a transaction currency different from the Company Code base currency have to be revaluated at the ongoing exchange rate.
In relation to pure GL entries the automation of exchange rate revaluation is reached via the proper usage of:
Foreign currency GL balance sheet accounts.
GL accounts can be managed and run in a foreign currency
For a GL account in a foreign currency the account balance existing at period end is revaluated at the month-end rate.
The only accounts managed in foreign currency in the GL will typically be the Bank accounts denominated in a currency different from the Company Code base currency.
Open Item managed GL balance sheet accounts
In the case a GL account is defined as Open Item managed the system tracks each single Item posted, marking it as open or cleared.
An Open Item GL account is typically used for accounts containing distinguishable open positions.
The following account categories will be managed as Open Item accounts in the GL:
Loans: Intercompany and Third Party
GR/IR: Clearing account for Goods receipt/invoice receipt
Bank clearing accounts
All the Open Items expressed in a currency different from the Company Code currency are properly revaluated at period-end.
Balance sheet items such as Vendor balances and Customer dues are also revaluated at the month end or year end depending on th requirement.

How to detect any special character ina string?
Hi!
I'm having a problem with a string. Basically the string is an output of some function and that may contains some special character which is not shown in the string - for example - chr(10)/chr(13) etc.
Is there any method or procedure that can detect all the special character inside that string and remove them all other than all the characters and digitis which is in form of character? I'm using oracle 9i.

How does IronPort assist in load balancing?
There are plans to put a load balancer in front of an IronPort cluster of 6. As of now, we have Mx record priority (Round robin) based load balancing.
Does an ESA has the intelligence to automatically reject incoming connections if other ESAs in the cluster is idol? Or, in other way, does ESA has the intelligence to reject incoming connections if it sees a series of connection attempts from the same source? Or, does it have intelligence to reject incoming connections if it is devoid of any resource to process any new messages?

ChandanNo. The ESA will still act in the same stand alone fashion - so, it will act independently with the traffic that is presented. Other appliances in cluster would not recognize the other appliance's traffic or status for handling mail that is processed --- remember, with the ESA, in cluster - the only thing that is shared is the configuration between cluster appliances.
The traffic handling and load balancing aspect would be based on the 3rd party software/appliance sitting in front of the appliances --- then control the pool of appliances that you have set from there.

How does one install non-English character sets for use with the "find" function in Acrabat Pro 11?
I have pdf files in European languages and want to be able to enter non-English characters in the "find" function. How does one install other character sets for use with Acrobat Pro XI?
Have you tried applying the update by going to Help>Updates within Photoshop Lightroom? The update should be using the same licensing? Did you perhaps customize the installation location? Finally which operating system are you using?

you can achieve HA in different levels:
1. On a single machine - here you need to set up nodemanager. When started by nodemanager, any server failures will be detected and the nodemanager will try to restart it. OOME is an exception thrown by the JVM and the server state should go FAILED at some point then the NM will try to restart it. Nodemanager is the simplest HA solution you can and must implement for production environment;
2. On redundant machine - you can configure WLS clustering, but you will need more complex environment, i.e. you will need a load balancer in front of the cluster to reverse proxy the requests. This scenario is can also use nodemanager to control the WLS instances on each machine
3. Cluster with server/service migration - the most complex scenario where in cases of machine failure the WLS cluster can "relocate" resources (services and whole severs) to spare machines.
In your case OOME should cause the JVM respectively WLS to be unresponsive, hence the nodemanager will detect this at some point and will try to restart the WLS.

Mimetype detection is done during upload, if you don't have a mimetype column in your table where APEX can store it, this information is lost.

I have a HTML extension running in In-design CC 2014 version.
I want to perform some required set of actions before my extension window is closed(by clicking on the cross button on top right corner).

I'm not sure I understand your reply but when you insert images into Word that are larger than will fit on the page, they are automatically compressed. If you right click and select Size and Position you can restore it to 100% but you will not see all the image.

it is only EIGRP that can perform load balancing over unequal cost links.
For equal cost links CEF allocates 16 buckets and maps them to the the physical links.
the result of a binary operation is used to associated a packet to an outgoing interface:
Source IP address EXOR DEstination IP Address EXOR hash
the hash is a seed that changes only at every reload.
Actually the last 4 bits are used so that each flow can be classified in one bucket.
then the outgoing interface is the one asscociated to the result of the exor operation.
Another way to see is that m bits are used so that 2^m is equal to N number of links (if N is even)
the rule is simple and pre-established
