How get context value form a dynamic created node

Hi all,
I have build my own dynamic view. In this view I use also a dynamic created Node. When I have more rows in my Node I see every row with context of the last row of the dynamic Node.
this is the source I use.
for (int x = 0; x < dynTabNode.size(); x++)
  dynTabNode.setLeadSelection(x);
  IWDGroup group = (IWDGroup)view.getElement("Group_name");
  IWDAttributeInfo aiName = wdContext.getChildNode("DayNode", IWDNode.LEAD_SELECTION).getNodeInfo().getAttribute("Name");
  IWDCaption name = (IWDCaption) view.createElement(IWDCaption.class, null);
  name.bindText(aiName);
  group.addChild(name);
  for (int i = 8; i < 18; i++)
    int teller = i * 100;
    IWDGroup group1 = (IWDGroup)view.getElement("hour" + teller);
    for (int z = 0; z < 12; z++)
      IWDImage image = (IWDImage) view.createElement(IWDImage.class, "Image" + teller + "_" + x);
      image.setWidth("10");
      image.setHeight("24px");
      image.setBorder(0);
      IWDAttributeInfo att = dynTabNode.getNodeInfo().getAttribute("hour" + teller);
      image.bindSource(att);
      group1.addChild(image);
      teller = teller + 5;
How can I read my Node row for row?

The reason is that all these Caption UI elements are bound against the same context attribute. At runtime this will be resolved to the attribute value of the lead-selected node element. In this example you can fix this by not binding the "text" property but setting it to the attribute value of the iterated node element:
for (int x = 0; x < dynTabNode.size(); x++)
  dynTabNode.setLeadSelection(x);
  IWDGroup group = (IWDGroup)view.getElement("Group_name");
  IWDCaption name = (IWDCaption) view.createElement(IWDCaption.class, null);
  IWDNode dayNode = wdContext.getChildNode("DayNode", IWDNode.LEAD_SELECTION);
  String text = (String) dayNode.getElementAt(x).getAttributeValue("Name");
  name.setText(text);
  IWDAttributeInfo aiName = dayNode.getNodeInfo().getAttribute("Name");
  name.bindText(aiName);
  group.addChild(name);
(I assume here that the node "DayNode" has the same size as dynTabNode. No idea if this assumption is correct)
But this would not help for editable elements where you need to bind the edited property.

  • How to set a value to a dynamically created node/attribute?

    Hi,
    I dynamically created attributes using the following method,
    IWDNodeInfo cbOptions = wdContext.getNodeInfo().addChild("cbOpt"+count, null, true, true, false, false, false, true, null, null, null);
    cbOptions.addAttribute("opt"+critEle.getQuest_Critid(), "ddic:com.sap.dictionary.string");
    How do i assign a  value to it now, since the node/attribute cannot be accessed via wdcontext?
    On a side note, it seems really troublesome if i need to use a checkbox grp(s) dynamically. I actually need to dynamically create a seperate node + attribute for each checkbox grp i have. Is there any better way to do this?
    Thanx in advance

    Hi
    Steps:
    1) Create the  action click is done statically (you cannot create action dyanmically)
    2) binding the  action click to checkbox dynamically
    code
    public static void wdDoModifyView(IPrivateDynamicProgrammingView wdThis, IPrivateDynamicProgrammingView.IContextNode wdContext, com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDView view, boolean firstTime)
        //@@begin wdDoModifyView
         if(firstTime){
                      IWDTransparentContainer con=(IWDTransparentContainer)view.getElement("RootUIElementContainer");
              IWDCheckBox checkBox=(IWDCheckBox)view.createElement(IWDCheckBox.class,"ck");
              IWDAction act=wdThis.wdCreateAction(IPrivateDynamicProgrammingView.WDActionEventHandler.CLICK,"");
              checkBox.setOnToggle(act);
              con.addChild(checkBox);

  • Get the ID of a dynamically created symbol from library, INSIDE another symbol.

    Hi everyone,
    I'm trying to get the id from a dynamic created symbol from library.
    When dynamically creating the symbol directly on the stage (or composition level), there's no problem.
    But I just can't get it to work when creating the symbol inside another symbol.
    Below some examples using both "getChildSymbols()" and "aSymbolInstances"
    // USING "getChildSymbols()" /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    // ON THE STAGE
    var m_item = sym.createChildSymbol("m_item","Stage");
    var symbolChildren = sym.getChildSymbols();
    console.log(symbolChildren[0].getSymbolElement().attr('id')); // ok eid_1391853893203
    // INSIDE ANOTHER SYMBOL
    var m_item = sym.createChildSymbol("m_item", sym.getSymbol("holder").getSymbolElement());
    var symbolChildren = sym.getSymbol("holder").getChildSymbols(); // Am i using this wrong maybe?
    console.log(symbolChildren.length) // returns 0 so can't get no ID either
    // USING "aSymbolInstances"" //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    // ON THE STAGE
    var m_item = sym.createChildSymbol("m_item","Stage");
    console.log(sym.aSymbolInstances[0]); // ok (i guess) x.fn.x.init[1] 0: div#eid_1391854141436
    // INSIDE ANOTHER SYMBOL
    var m_item = sym.createChildSymbol("m_item", sym.getSymbol("holder").getSymbolElement());
    console.log(sym.getSymbol("holder").aSymbolInstances[0]); // Javascript error in event handler! Event Type = element
    In this post http://forums.adobe.com/message/5691824 is written: "mySym.aSymbolInstances will give you an array with all "names" when you create symbols"
    Could it be this only works on the stage/ composition level only and not inside a symbol?
    The following methods to achieve the same are indeed possible, but i simply DON'T want to use them in this case:
    1) Storing a reference of the created symbol in an array and call it later by index.
    2) Giving the items an ID manually on creation and use document.getElementById() afterwards.
    I can't believe this isn't possible. I am probably missing something here.
    Forgive me I am a newbie using Adobe Edge!
    I really hope someone can help me out here.
    Anyway, thnx in advance people!
    Kind Regards,
    Lester.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the quick response!
    True this is also a possibility. But this method is almost the same of "Giving the items an ID manually on creation and use document.getElementById() afterwards".
    In this way (correct me if i'm wrong) you have to give it an unique ID yourself. In a (very) big project this isn't the most practical way.
    Although I know it is possible.
    Now when Edge creates a symbol dynamically on the Stage (or composition level) or inside another symbol it always gives the symbol an ID like "eid_1391853893203".
    I want to reuse this (unique) ID given by Edge after creation.
    If created on the stage directly you can get this ID very easy. Like this;
    var m_item = sym.createChildSymbol("m_item","Stage");
    var symbolChildren = sym.getChildSymbols();
    console.log(symbolChildren[0].getSymbolElement().attr('id')); // ok eid_1391853893203
    I want to do exactly the same when created INSIDE another symbol.
    var m_item = sym.createChildSymbol("m_item", sym.getSymbol("holder").getSymbolElement());
    Now how can I accomplish this? How can I get the Id of a dynamically created symbol INSIDE another symbol instead of created directly on the stage?
    This is what i'm after.
    Thnx in advance!

  • How do I receive notification of a change in the value of a dynamically created user interface object?

    I need to know when the user has changed the value of a slider or a Boolean control that was dynamically created (not part of a dialog). Is there any way to do that without polling? I would have expected these controls to post a WM_NOTIFY message to the parent window in response to user events, but that does not seem to happen. Am I missing something?

    Win32 controls do typically post WM_NOTIFY messages to the parent window for user events. The Measurement Studio UI controls are actually ActiveX controls, though, and events are handled differently for ActiveX controls.
    If you have a resource ID for you control, the easiest way would be to create your control in the OnInitDialog method and handle the event the same way you would if you had added the control to the dialog at design-time:
    Add a declaration for the event handler in the AFX_MSG block in the dialog header file.
    Make sure the AFX_MSG block in the header file includes DECLARE_EVENTSINK_MAP()
    Include an ON_EVENT entry for the event in the dialog source's BEGIN_EVENT_SINK_MAP block.
    Include a DDX_Control entry
    in the dialog source's AFX_DATA_MAP block.
    Otherwise, you'll have to dynamically sink the event at runtime after you've created the control. Microsoft's Knowledge Base has a couple of good articles that demonstrate how to do this:
    SAMPLE: AtlEvnt.exe Creates ATL Sinks Using IDispEventImpl (Q194179)
    AtlSink Uses ATL to Create a Dispinterface Sink (Q181277)

  • How can get the value of a HtmlInputText (created in the bean)

    Hi All,
    I have created a HtmlInputText object in the Backing Bean (the getter and setter are in another Bean used to manage the data, getEditableInputText and setEditableInputText)
    //getter and setter in Bean
    public HtmlInputText getEditableInputText() {
    return this.editableInputText;}
    public void setEditableInputText(HtmlInputText editableInputText) {
    this.editableInputText = editableInputText;
    I set the value in the Backin Bean
    The HtmlInputText is bound in the xml in this way:
    <h:inputText id="test" binding="#{Bean.editableInputText}"></h:inputText>
    When I load the page I can see the TextField with the value that I set previously (in the backin bean).
    The problem is when I try to change the value of the texField:
    I change the value, then I click on a button (its action is to call a method to get the value of the field).
    In debug mode I see that the value is allways the first set instead of the new value inserted.
    I tried with getValue and similar but it does not work.
    I tried also to put HtmlInputText in a panel (using a similar logic) and then to get it using getChildren() method but also this does not work.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance

    Ok (now I understand)
    I have used bean.getEditedInputText() and it is not null.(I got the HtmlInputTextObject)
    But bean.getEditedInputText().getValue has allways the first value set.
    If I don't set previously the value (in the backin bean) the getValue() is allways null.
    So my problem is that I can set but I cannot get the Value when I change it.

  • How to set the cardinality property as 1..n for a dynamically created node

    Hi...everybody
        I am creating Dropdown by index UI element and the
    context atrributes dynamically.To bind multiple data to a dropdown
    the cardinality property of the node should be 0..n or 1..n,
    But i could not set the property of the dynamically created context node to 0..n ...
    can any body suggest me..
    I implemented the following code in WDDoModify View
    IWDTransparentContainer tc=(IWDTransparentContainer)view.getElement("RootUIElementContainer");
    IWDNodeInfo node = wdContext.getNodeInfo().addChild("DynamicNode",null,true,true,false,false,false,true,null,
              null,null);
    IWDAttributeInfo strinfo=node.addAttribute("Value","ddic:com.sap.dictionary.string");
    dbyindex.bindTexts(strinfo);
    tc.addChild(dbyindex);
    I could successfully display one value in the drop down,by adding the following code before the line tc.addchild(dbyindex);
    IWDNode node1=wdContext.getChildNode("DynamicNode",0);
    IWDNodeElement nodeElement=node1.createElement();
    nodeElement.setAttributeValue("Value","Hello");
    node1.addElement(nodeElement);
    but when
    i am trying to bind multiple values i am getting Exception ,,,,

    hi
    you are getting the exception because of cardinality property.
    i.e   true,false and
    you are trying to add morethan one element.
    so,if you want to add morethan one than one element you have to set the cardinality property to true,true (or) false,true.
    In your code do the following modification for changing the cardinality.
    For 0..n -->false,true
          1..n-->true,true
    IWDTransparentContainer tc=(IWDTransparentContainer)view.getElement("RootUIElementContainer");
    IWDNodeInfo node = wdContext.getNodeInfo().addChild("DynamicNode",null,true,true,false,false,false,true,null,
    null,null);
    IWDAttributeInfo strinfo=node.addAttribute("Value","ddic:com.sap.dictionary.string");
    dbyindex.bindTexts(strinfo);
    tc.addChild(dbyindex);
    hope this will solve your problem.
    In addchild(..) the parameters are
    addChild("Name ,
                    Element class for model node ,
                    Is singleton? ,
                    Cardinality ,
                    Selection cardinality ,
                    Initialise lead selection? ,
                    Datatype ,
                    Supplier function ,
                     Disposer function);

  • Getting the value of variable dynamically

    Hi Gurus,
    How can i get a value of a variable dynamically through user input?Is it possible to get it interacively?
    my reqiurement is to control my loop according to the user supplied value for the flag variable.
    if the user gives the flag as 'Y' loop should continue.else loop should terminate in a PL/SQL block
    here is a piece of code
    CREATE OR REPLACE procedure c is
    flag1 varchar2(10):='Y';
    begin
    while flag1 <> 'N' loop
    dbms_output.put_line('Enter the value.....' );
    +*<< Here I have to get the value of flag1 from user .How to get the user value>>*+
    end loop;
    end;
    Please advice

    To add my 2 cents worth you can not get where you want with sqlplus calling PL/SQL
    You have 2 problems
    SQLPLUS has no loop construct and not much in the way of conditional capabilities.
    PL/SQL can not talk to a terminal.
    If you use an &variable in an anonymous block, it is evaluated by sqlplus before the parse of the block takes place.
    Nothing you do in the block can change its value.
    dbms_output.put_line buffers everything output to it and then sqlplus outputs it all after the block completes.
    You can accept variables in sqlplus and pass them into an anonymous block for use, but you would have to exit the block if you wanted to ask something based on a condition determined in the block. You would then have no way to re-enter that block within the sqlplus session.
    Host language programs do not have this problem. You can use ProC ProCOBOL, OCI, Visual Basic, and web interfaces.
    Unless you are on windows you can use a shell script (Unix, Linux or VMS) to do what you want.
    You can accept the variable in the script within a loop. You can call sqlplus silently passing the variable on the command line. You can use the variable command to define variables that will be set in pl/sql blocks use selects of these :variables to set defined sqlplus &variables. You can spool files that will then be processed by the shell language. All this can be done in that shell loop.
    In other words you can do anything you need. You do need to understand your tools and their limitations. You can not use sqlplus commands in pl/sql for example.

    emptyText="#{bindings.DynamicVO.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
    var="row" rowBandingInterval="0"
    value="#{bindings.DynamicVO.collectionModel}"
    selectedRowKeys="#{bindings.DynamicVO.collectionModel.selectedRow}"

    You are correct the page is not submitted when the user clicks on the NEXT or PREVIOUS links. Here are some threads that may help you:

    Thank you .

    hi -  trying to get this to work with no luck.
    a simple example as i understand it:
    var test = sym.createChildSymbol("rect", "Stage");
    test.attr("id","test2");
    would that work in changing the id of the newly created symbol to test2?
    thanks!

  • How to Transport Variance Forms and Reports(created in KKO4 and KKO1)

    Hello Experts,
    I searched for the following but could not find matching  answer.Will you, therefore, suggest on the following
    1. I created form in KKO4/5
    2. Then I created report under above form in transaction KKO1
    I did above in development and now need to transport it to quality and then to production after testing
    When I select menu Form -> Transport in KKO5, system prompts for customizing request.
    Which options(subobjects) should I select? should I select Key figures ( I used standard available key figures in form defination)
    After above customizing request for form, I selected menu Report -> Transport in KKO2 to transport the report. It prompted for subobject selection
    (a) Report defination (This is by default selected and greyed out),(b) Report form, (c) Key figures , (d) Transport all languages
    Which subobjects should be selected out of above.
    After above selection for reports, system is prompting for workbench request creation, during WB request creation system is also giving 'prompt for customizing request' creation and by default displaying customizing request created for Form. Should such customizing requiest be part of WB request?
    Secondly, I have created 8 forms and more than one report under of the these forms. Should the menu Form/Report -> Transport be selected for each form/report in same transport request? Is only that particular form/Report included in the Transport Request or does it include all existing/standard forms/reports also in transport request.
    Your earliest help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

    Hi Jose
    Thank you very much for the reply
    Could you please elaborate on "if any configuration maintained at
    sub-objects level"
    What I am worrying about is my transport request should not overwrite anything in quality and production systems. It should take only forms and reports that I add/select in it.
    I am following the below steps Please correct me if I am going wrong
    1) Create new formS in KKO4
    2) Create one or more reportS in KKO1 under each of above forms
    3) In KKO5 (report painter: Change From screen), select the form that I created in step (1), select menu Edit->Transport form, I get the pop up to select the dependent objects for form. Here I select sub object - Form/Layout, Key Figures, Transport All Languages. On choosing Enter, I get pop up "Prompt for customizing request”. I create new request
    4) In KKO5 I select second form I created in step (1) and follow the activities mentioned in step (3) but select the same customizing request. This way I add all the form I created in one customizing request
    5) In KKO2, select the report that I created in step (2) select menu Report -> Transport I get pop up selection of Dependent objects for Report. Here I select sub object – Report Definition, Report Form, Key Figures, Transport All Languages. On choosing Enter, I get pop up "Prompt for workbench request. I create new request. When I choose enter on this pop up system automatically gives pop for "Prompt for customizing request” and by default displays cust. request created in step (3). Should I select Continue/Enter here?
    And Does it mean both customizing and WB request are clubbed?
    What is the sequence of transporting them?
    Thank you in advance
    Regards
    Anand
