How is BI_REQD* job triggered ???

Hi all,
can any one help on this.
In our BW system, BW triggers a job whose name begins wih
BIREQU* after each successful master data load . After this job another job which begins with BI_REQD*(which runs the program RSDELREQ1 ) is triggered and the whole data is deleted.so how can i stop this job from triggering ?
i am an abap developer, and this is an urgernt requrirement,can any one quickly help me on this?

Hi,
BI_REQ is triggered normaly when an load is triggered. Its for Src sys extraction (for flat file, DataMart, & BAPI -> job runs in SAP BW). In your case it may be because you have given the deletion of data from targets in the InfoPackage level.
Check RSA1 > InfoPackage > Data targets tab > 7 th column (Delete entire contents of data targets).
This may not be the exact issue. Just try it out.
Also if this is a part of chain check if there is a process to delete data after this load.

Long running threads in DB2 DBSM/ job triggered by DDIC

Hi Basis Gurus,
I have ECC 6.0 , DB2 8.1.5 and SM 4.0.
Every day a job kicks up on the SM with user id DDIC and consumes a lot of CPU.This job fires up again at some irreular intervals 2-3 times in a day.And whenevrer it runs, takes a lot of CPU.
In sm50 it shows up as: CL_SQL_STATEMENT===CP
When you go into the details of it , it says
Loading DB library 'D:\usr\sap\SLM\DVEBMGS01\exe\dbdb2slib.dll' ..
Library 'D:\usr\sap\SLM\DVEBMGS01\exe\dbdb2slib.dll' loaded
After that it calls DB connect , and tries to monitor something.
and gives the following error...
C Monitor for DB2 system not started. Retrieving EBCDIC CCSID from SYSIBM.SYSSTRINGS.
C EBCDIC CCSID calculated from SYSIBM.SYSSTRINGS is 37 .
Then it tries to do something, and gets disconnected ..
C *** ERROR => DB2 Call 'SQLEndTran' Error: sqlcode = -900 : [IBM][CLI Driver] SQL0900N The application state is in error. A data
and again tries to connect....and monitor and the process continues...

In omega Mon for DB2, i can see the following 3 sql statements being triggered over and over again..

1.) What this process is, what it is trying to do.
2.)How is it getting triggered, as it does not show up as scheduled task in sm36.Only time i can monitor it in sm37, is when it is running..
3.)And is it really necessary to run it everyday 2-3 times.if not how can i stop it from running.

I am making a DB Export on DB2 V8.1 FixPak14 and I am getting error SQLCODE -429 SQLSTATE 54028 on the same table "BC_SLD_INST".
Do you know what is the porpose of this table? Which kind of data does it record?
I have looked everywhere and there is any documentation about this table.

UIn this Screen you can define delta type, and the jog usign the control job option.

How is Idoc MBGMCR triggered/Configured in SRM Extended classic scenario

Hello All,
In the existing scenario, when confirmation is created in SUS portal, corresponding confirmation gets created in EBP .
Once the confirmation in EBP gets approved ,we want corresponding confirmation creation in backend system (ECC) .
I thought of using the standard idoc of basic type MBGMCR01 and message type MBGMCR for the above requirement.
But I am unable to find how to configure the triggering of idoc MBGMCR during creation of confirmation in EBP.
If anybody has an idea of message control method in SRM or how is idoc MBGMCR gets triggered, please let me know.

You would require to set up distribution model , tcode - BD64
SAP NetWeaver ->Application Server ->IDOC Interface / Application Link Enabling (ALE) -> Modeling and Implementing Business Processes ->Master Data Distribution ->Distribution Using Object Classes ->Model Distribution Using Classes.
Once the distribution model is set up you can assign the message type MBGMCR.

Frequent failures of BI_REQD* jobs

In our BW Production
nowadays BI_REQD* jobs are failing frequently for d one or two cubes. 20-30 jobs failing every day (those two cubes are loaded with many infopackages)
these jobs complete their work of overlapping request deletion and get failed without raising subsequent events.
job log shows like dat: -

Hi,
I suspect that you have defined the ODS also as export datasource and you have deleted the related PSA (i.e. the change log of the ODS) so is not possible to delete a single request.
If the change log is empty you cannot delete a single request.
If you need to delete some data, you must take other ways like selective deletion or upload of data with negative image, but these methods doesn't give you any assurance to delete the same data of the request
If that is not true I think the problem is about the programs, check for OSS Notes.

= the time a job has run.
Is this right?

What are the selections when defining a job triggered by an event?

I use SM36 by defining a job triggered by an event. I click "Start conditions" button, then click "After event" button and place the event name. I wonder if I would have to continue to click the button "Immediate" button and save it? or just save it without clicking the "Immediate" button?

If you click Immediate, your job start immediatelly and not after event.

How to stop the triggering of a process task

Hi
I have one child form details and the correspnding task to add user to the child form is 'add user to details'
When I am provisioning a user i am adding the child form field ,its a multivalued attribute and after the user got created the child values are also populated . But after I have added the task 'add user to details' that is also triggering on the call of create user that i dont want actually . I need that task only to update the child form after the user got provisioned not in the create user scenario.So please tell me how to restrict the triggering of that task during create user

Now you have made another task just to modify child data records.
I'll say that it is wrong. You'll face issues as you are directly inserting data into target without updation of child form which is against Audit and Compliance.
It would be better if you make separate task for Creating User and Adding Multivalued data into target application.
Anyways,
Add your second task with proper trigger on Child Form like insert/update.
Go to Create User task and remove all dependency which triggers your second task.

How to find how & where event is triggered?

At our organization, we have implemented PMS Notification Workflow. This workflow is triggered through Customized reports. I know the program which triggers the workflow and i also know the event name and Object type.
I searched through the whole program but i am not able to find where the event is triggered. I searched for FM SWC_EVENT_CREATE and SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT in the program but it could not be found.
Please tell me how should i find where my workflow is triggered in the program.

Since it is a custom report there could be a number of ways to trigger the workflow.
Events are one thing, but it could also be triggered directly with FM SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW or the older SWW_WI_START_SIMPLE.
Or it could be part of some bapi which in the end triggers a workflow.
If this Isn't this simply mentioned in the technical specifications, you should first find out how the workflow is triggered, then you can use that info to search the code.

The job index tab page is IT0783. You can check this through transaction OOFRAMEWORKCUST. In the same transaction, double click on u201CTab Page in Scenario for each Object Typeu201D folder under u201CScenario Definition (Hierarchy Framework)u201D in the left column. The scenario for PPOME is OME0. Look for the entry for OME0 and tab page IT0783 and check the u201Cdo not displayu201D box the last column.

if already workflow is there,How can we check that particular Workflow is triggering Explicitly(Programatically, change documents,or message control)?

Hi Sprat,
Let me tell you that as you might be knowing workflow is triggered either using CDO - Change document objects, BADi, User-exits, BTE etc.
As a first step, we try to trigger MM, SD, FI workflows using CDOs. You can check them in SWEC, SWED, SCDO transactions.
If the entry is created in SWEC, the workflow will trigger. Here we link the workflow event with the corresponding change document table.
After doing this, if the workflow doesn't trigger we go for enhancement using BADi, USer-exits or BTEs.
To find if a workflow is triggered using a BADi or BTE or user-exit you have to check the corresponding enhancement.
There is no particular tcode which will give you the exact details about how a workflow is triggered.
Still you can wait for some other experts to answer it as I am not aware of any other tcodes or reports that does this.

simply it can execute i.e. a procedure with a scheduled time pattern:
