How is the Model Context populated?

How does the Model context get populated from the model u2013 ie., Is there code somewhere? If there is no code, how does the framework populate the model context from model?

When and how does the message context get removed from the message when we use pass thru send port

Friends,
i have a doubt regarding message context.
Assume i have used XMLRecieve pipeline in the receive side to receive the message so that the message context is created. I.e properties are promoted/written.
now if we use pass thru transmit pipe line at send side, how and when does the message context get removed from the message?? Since pass thru does not have any stages/components, how does the message context removed and sent out a pure message to destination???
i mean what exactly happens here to remove the context??

yeah yeah, adapter does create some properties in context. You are right, i am aware of it. I just missed to explain it clearly. what i meant is addition of context properties will not happen if pass thru used. Thanks its clear.

You are right , the context already exists on the message while it leaves the receive port, and once it persists
to message box the context and message context gets stored in messages in relative tables.
Now as you said the components get the message from the last persistence, assume i have a send port(with passthru)
subscriber and a orchestration subsrciber for this message.
Orchestration gets the message with context right!!
if the send sendport(with passthru) also gets message along with context, then where is this context removed/demoted
while sending it out?. i guess as per SAAkhlaq said,
here sendport(with passthru) should get a pure message without context as passthru used.
or is it that ultimately send adapter removes the context completely?
or is it something like biztalk run time load the context from database into cache and both orchestration and send port gets pure message, and if needed they use context from cache???

How is the table MCHB populated?

Dear SDNers,
Need your input on how the table MCHB gets populated?
for ex. when i create material master mm01 and save, material gets created and an entry is made in master table.
Similarly, how /what tcode is processed to update the table MCHB.
I am looking for field CLABS, as to how this is getting populated.
Effort by me:
I looked at the where used list for the table mchb and was able to locate a standard report RM07KO01- Stock consistency check. In this there is an include RM07KOF4 which contains perform update_mchb.
I am not able to locate the code as to where this table is getting values populated from.
Am i being right in my search ? if not please guide me.

How is the comments field populated in RCV_SHIPMENT_LINES?

I am working for a client who is using OPM extensively. When we create the internal requisition, create the internal sales order and perform the reveive, the comments field in RCV_SHIPMENT_LINES is populated with OPM:<delivery detail ID>. This functionality is working fine in 11i. We are no working on R12 upgrade for the client. In R12, the comments field is populated as NULL in RCV_SHIPMENT_LINES. I would like to know whether this is the seeded functionality in 11i. If so, what is changed in R12. Please let me know.

I figured it out. I have to change the Leave Codes field to visible and not read-only. Then close Form Editing. I can then get to the field and from there I can copy the field entry over to Word to edit it. Then copy it back in to the Leave Code field, go back to Form Editing, and put it back to Hidden and Read-only. It was so easy once I knew the trick :-) Of course.

Why no setProperty() method on the sap.ui.model.Context Class

With a model context object I can do the following to obtain a value from a model:
oModelContext.getProperty("name");
Is there any reason why a setProperty() method is also not provided ?
oModelContext.setProperty("name","Trevor");
It seems that the model context object has all the necessary information to support this function:

Passing Parameters to Webservice model context--Exception in execution

I have a problem while passing the values to the webservice model context.I have 9 input fields in my view 5 of them binded to directly to the model context after mapping. 4 input fields i have binded to seperate node of cardinality 1:1.
My structure is like this

Webdynpro : How to SKIP the values of the Model Node.

i imported a WSDL into my WDJ application.
where on context mapping, i mapped the MODEL with my CONTROLLER.
I would like to SKIP couple of Attributes and Model node
In WEBSERVICE navigator, i have the check box as SKIP, so using that i can skip in Navigator ,
But how to do the same in WEBDYNPRO Coding.
Say for Example
Context

i know how to set the value if it need to set it to null

on following same thing , if i didnt set Role and SysID in WebDynpro then, i get error as
Error in Submiting Request : No role seleced for the request.
How is this possible....

How to set the Model Class for a newly created Model Node ?

Hello All,
I am trying to map a Model node from SourceA to DestinationB.
To do so, I created a model node for Destination B in the interface controller (set the isInputElement to true). However why I try to map the node, I get an error saying that "Both context nodes have to be bound to a model class". Upon a closer look, I realised that the model node that I created in DestinationB has no entries under the properties.
Does anyone knows/advise how I can add the model class entry to the model node that I have created as I am not able to do so. Or otherwise, is there a way to map a model node to another model node across different components ? Thank you very much.

I am tryng to map a model node in the component controller of SourceA to another model node that belongs to another Component. I do believe that in this case I will need to create a model node in the interface controller of DestinationB and map that to the component controller of SourceA. However, by creating my own model node, how do I change the property modelClass in the context ?

how do i skip process validations and still update the model? This has got to be a bug or a really huge design flaw. And no I don't want to using 'binding' to bind to every component on my form just so I can set its value. I just want to use value binding.
Perhaps there should be a FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().updateModel() method?

I found a structure 'crmt_gsurlpopup_params' in the method.
The first component is 'URL' type string which looks like the right one.
But I can not use 'crmt_gsurlpopup_params' in the wizard, because it is not an elementary type.
I tried 'URL' 'PARAMS' 'String_data', it works.
PS, when I rated your post, I just tried 'crmt_gsurlpopup_params' not 'string_data'. So I didn't click 'Solved', sorry.

MVC Design Help, Single Servlet, How do I access the Model and DB

Hi all. New here and looking for some help.
I am currently writing a website that allows the creation of users, that may upload articles and post comments on articles. Im trying to develop using MVC. I have a single controller servlet that processes POST actions throughout the site (eg. InsertArticle, DeleteArticle, ModifyArticle, etc..)
Now my problem is, just how do I retrieve the articles from the database? .. for example, if I load up a page http://localhost/articles.jsp which should display all the articles currently in the site.. I would have a function say getAllArticles() which should return a collection of all the articles. I can then iterate through the articles in the jsp page.
I am trying to use <jsp:useBean...etc.> BUT.. my articles bean constructor takes a databaseconnection object as a parameter. If I use useBean I cant pass the databaseconnection object to the bean and I get an error because it cannot create the bean.
Any help on this would be appreciated as well as any tutorial links. I also looked at the petstore blueprint program on the sun website, but that program has me completely lost with all the xml. I would prefer not to use custom tags or struts for now. I would like to keep it simple with snippets of java code in the jsp pages for data retrieval and display while keeping all the business logic in the beans of the model. I would also like to keep this relatively secure. I am developing using Oracle Jdeveloper 10g.

yes i can found the words's unicode form Cmaps where may be at the type of tounicde and another Cmaps table just like "Adobe-GB1-GBK-EUC" ,but when the word dont have either of them how can i do? when i write a chinese word "一",it just the winansi encoding , there is not Cmap for me to use to change the "G208f" to the word "一"'s unicode value.

Azure - The name 'model' does not exist in the current context

I am getting the error below but only on Azure, everything builds and runs fine on multiple machines running locally. But when I deploy to Azure I get the error below trying to login. Not even sure where to start researching this one
