Pass values to se16 through report

Hi,
I am working on a requirement in which I am getting purchase order number (POs) from user through select options in an internal table and i need to display all the fields of EKBE table for those POs.
For this I am using SE16. I want to pass all those POs to SE16 transaction and then display.
How can I do this?

Natasha Garg

hi
below are the parameters which you need to pass.
data: REPID TYPE SY-REPID.
MOVE SY-REPID TO REPID.
DATA : IT_FIELDCAT TYPE SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV WITH HEADER LINE.
  CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'

               I_PROGRAM_NAME               = REPID
               I_STRUCTURE_NAME             = 'EKBE'
               I_INCLNAME                   =    REPID
              CHANGING
                CT_FIELDCAT                  = IT_FIELDCAT1.

  • Pass value from previous interactive report to create record form

    Hi All,
    I am an APEX newbie and have an APEX 3.2.1 application that is still being developed that is working reasonably well. The problem I am having is the following:
    I have 3 interactive reports. These are defined on their respective tables, namely, clients, servers, and databases. By clicking on a client name, it shows the servers that are associated with that client. By then clicking on a server, it shows me the databases that are on that specific server. I am able to perform updates, deletes and inserts on all of these.
    In order to say create a server, i click on the name of a client and it brings me to the Server Interactive report to see the associated servers. I then click a "Create a Server" link that brings me to the create a server page. The issue i am having is that I would like to have the previous value of the primary key (Client ID) passed from the Server interactive report to the form where i create a new server so that the client ID is already populated in the Create a Server form. Presently, the only way i am able to do this is by defining the client ID column on the Create a server form as a select list and displaying ALL the different clients. By selecting a client name, this list then returns the client id associated with that client name. This is a potential source of confusion for the users and it would be much better if the client ID was already in a text field that is disabled and all they have to do is fill out the other fields of the form.
    I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter as I am fighting project deadlines. I have seen other examples that are similar, but i am still experiencing difficulty.
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi,
    I am still very confused as to how to get this to work.
    I cannot have the value passed by clicking the client ID link from the Server Interactive Report in order to populate the Client ID field in the Add Server Form. It MUST be done by clicking an Add Server button that will pass the value as well as take me to the Add Server Form. So far, I have only been able to have the value show up if i click the client ID column on the Interactive report that has a column link defined as follows:
    Name VALUE
    P9_CLIENTID #CLIENTID#
    However, when i do have the value passed this way i receive the following error message which proves that it is not saving the god damn state!
    ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("USERS"."NEW_SERVERS"."ClientID")
    Error Unable to process row of table NEW_SERVERS.
    Even if the value appears in the text field, it isnt really there!
    How to make it know the value is there is beyond me.
    I dont know what to think of this situation. I have tried all types of settings and I have a feeling it will be 2010 before this is resolved.
    It is really frustrating, it has been days i am trying to get this to work...
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Hierarchal Columns and Passing Values to a Detail Report (Action Links)

    I have a question in OBIEE 11.1.1.5 around Hierarchal Columns and passing the values to a detail report. I have create a report with a Hierarchal column (Two Levels only), Month Column and a metric.
    I created a detail report and see both columns used in the hierarchy to "is Prompted" as well as the Month column.
    On the Summary report I put an Action Link on the Metric to navigate to this Detail Report. When I select the metric I see that the Month value gets passed to the Detail Report but none of the Hierarchal columns have been passed at all.
    When I replace the hierarchal column with just the two columns, the values get passed fine.
    Is this a known issue with Hierarchal columns? Is this functionality even available?
    Thanks

    I am assuming then that no one has attempted this on the forum?

  • How to pass value from the Z Report to the selection screen of the std rep

    Dear Experts,
    i have developed a report and the values are maintained only in internal table based on some condition.  When I execute the report, for example MM60, there is a material number field for multiple selection.
    the report should call the standard transaction and pass the values from the internal table to the multiple selection- material number of the standard transaction.
    the standard transaction should never get executed automatically.  Only the value should get passed from internal table to the standard t code.  Please help.
    regards,
    Shankar

    Hai
    Go through the following Documents
    SUBMIT rep.
    Additions
    1. ... LINE-SIZE col
    2. ... LINE-COUNT lin
    3. ... TO SAP-SPOOL
    4. ... VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
    5. ... AND RETURN
    6. ... EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
    7. ... USER user VIA JOB job NUMBER n
    8. ... Various additions for parameter transfer to rep
    9. ... USING SELECTION-SETS OF PROGRAM prog
    Effect
    Calls the report rep . Leaves the active program and starts the new report rep .
    Addition 1
    ... LINE-SIZE col
    Effect
    Prints the report with the line width col .
    Addition 2
    ... LINE-COUNT lin
    Effect
    Prints the report with lin lines (per page).
    Addition 4
    ... VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
    Effect
    Displays the selection screen for the user. In this case, the selection screen is redisplayed after return from the report list display - the user's entries are retained.
    Addition 5
    ... AND RETURN
    Effect
    Returns to the calling transaction or program after the called program has been executed. SUBMIT ... AND RETURN creates a new internal mode .
    Addition 6
    ... EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
    Effect
    Does not display the output list of the called report, but saves it in SAP memory and leaves the called report immediately. Since the calling program can read the list from memory and process it further, you need to use the addition ... AND RETURN . Also, since the called report cannot be requested for printing, the addition ... TO SAP-SPOOL is not allowed here. You can read the saved list from SAP memory with the function module 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY' and then (for example) store it in the database with EXPORT . You can process this list further with the function modules 'WRITE_LIST' , 'DISPLAY_LIST' ... of the function group "SLST" .
    Addition 7
    ... USER user VIA JOB job NUMBER n
    Effect
    Schedules the specified report in the job specified by the job name job and the job number n . The job runs under the user name user and you can omit the addition USER user . The assignment of the job number occurs via the function module JOB_OPEN (see also the documentation for the function modules JOB_CLOSE and JOB_SUBMIT . This addition can only be used with the addition ...AND RETURN .
    Note
    When scheduling a report with the SUBMIT ... VIA JOB job NUMBER n statement, you should always use the addition ...TO SAP-SPOOL to pass print and/or archive parameters. Otherwise, default values are used to generate the list and this disturbs operations in a production environment.
    Addition 9
    ... USING SELECTION-SETS OF PROGRAM prog
    Effect
    Uses variants of the program prog when executing the program rep .
    Note
    Important
    The programs prog and rep must have the same SELECT-OPTIONS and PARAMETER s. Otherwise, variants of the program prog may be destroyed.
    Note
    When using this addition, the specified variant vari of the program prog is taken in USING SELECTION-SET vari . On the other hand, all variant-related actions on the selection screen of rep (Get , Save as variant , Display , Delete ) refer to the variants of prog .
    Example
    SUBMIT REPORT01
    VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
    USING SELECTION-SET 'VARIANT1'
    USING SELECTION-SETS OF PROGRAM 'REPORT00'
    AND RETURN.
    Effect
    Executes the program REPORT01 with the variant VARIANT1 of the program REPORT00 .
    Note
    Runtime errors
    LOAD_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND : The specified program was not found.
    SUBMIT_WRONG_TYPE : The specified program is not a report.
    SUBMIT_IMPORT_ONLY_PARAMETER : Only one value passed to a report parameter.
    SUBMIT_WRONG_SIGN : Invalid value passed to a selection with the addition SIGN .
    SUBMIT_IN_ITAB_ILL_STRUCTURE : Table passed to a selection with WITH sel IN itab had an unexpected structure.
    Try with this Example
    Data: listobject like abaplist occurs 1 with header line.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
    TABLES
    listobject = listobject
    EXCEPTIONS
    OTHERS = 1 .
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    message ID '61' TYPE 'E' NUMBER '731'
    with 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'.
    ENDIF.

  • Pass value of column when report has only one row

    Hello everyone,
    Sorry for not being very accurate with the title of the thread.Here's my situation:
    I have an item that, when modified(key pressed) refreshes an interactive report. All the report column have link to a javascript function, so when the user clicks the row it passes a value to another item on the page.
    To be more specific it goes like this: the user enters a numer in the item, and as he presses a key the report is shrinked down based on the number that it's made.(asynchronous search like google)
    Here's my problem:
    I have made all this working(using dynamic actions and a little javascript), but, for the sake of making it user-friendly i want that when the report is shrunk to only one line, the value of a column in that line to be auto-passed to a page item.(or a javascript function)
    Thanks a lot!
    Kind Regards,
    Cearnau Dan
    PS: APEX 4

    I am currently work on something similar, sort of, unless it's not.
    Anyway, the first function called by the action, onChange in my case, returns a count of items. If there is an exact match, meaning a one is returned, the function branches one way. Otherwise, it branches another way.
    In the case of an exact match, I run some other JS/AJAX to populate other details on the line. If not an exact match, in my case, I show a <div id="searchCriteria"> for the user to refine their search or accept what they typed in the first box and get a list of all possible matches. Obviously yours would behave differently.
    Hope this helps,

  • Passing values in hyperlinks through the URL

    I am trying to do the following:
    <a href = "linkhandler.jsp?value=lee">
    then in linkhandler.jsp I am trying to get that value...i have:
    String firstName = request.getParameter("lee");
    ...but when I print its NULL
    What is the proper syntax?
    Thanks!

    I actually figured that out..
    Now I have

    I just want the page to automatically redirect to this page using JSP if possible.

  • Passing different (multi-) values for parameters to drill-through report, based on clicked subtotal in main report

    In Report Builder 3.0, I have made a main report in which the user can filter the underlying dataset using three parameters (all multi-value). The report shows totals grouped by these three parameters, as well as a grand total. What I want is to click
    on a total, which then opens the drill-through report for the corresponding records. I have achieved this for the grand total; the action in the corresponding text box passes all selected values of the parameters to the drill-through report.
    What I cannot figure out is how to make this work right when clicking on a subtotal. When I use the same expression as for the grand total, the same values for the parameters are passed, instead of the subset that apply to the corresponding text box in the
    main report. I expected this to work, because Report Builder /does/ correctly calculate the SUMs for the different levels, even though the expressions are the same.
    My question is: how do I pass different drill-through (multi-) values for parameters, corresponding to the respective subtotals in the main report?
    (FYI: I am using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Report Builder 3.0 .)

    Hello Katherine,
    Thanks once more for your quick reply.
    I was aware of the textbox action "Go to report", and how to pass parameters in general. My question concerned how to determine the scope of the passed multi-value parameters (to the values that apply to the respective group/subtotal). The article you linked
    to is informative, but not a solution to my problem.
    A colleague of mine came up with a pragmatic solution: instead of trying to determine the scope of the parameter values, now I "look to the left in the results table". The two screenshots below should illustrate this. (Screenshots are in Dutch. Specific information
    is pixelated.)
    Unfortunately, I am not able to post images. Once my account is verified, I will edit them in. For now, I hope the text speaks for itself enough.
    [Screenshot: Drill-through parameters - 01: Report Builder tablix with subtotals]
    [Screenshot: Drill-through parameters - 02: Textbox properties (selected in screenshot 01) - Action - Go to report]
    The first screenshot shows the tablix in the Report Builder. The second screenshot shows the properties of the textbox selected in the first.
    Notice that I do not pass parameters for the first two columns, but the actual values. I only pass the parameter (containing /all/ user-selected values) for the third column. In the textbox below the selected one, I pass the actual values for the first column,
    and parameters for the last two. In the textbox above the selected one, I pass the actual values for all three columns.
    The only (cosmetic) flaw this approach has is that in the drill-through report, the list of selected parameters might show values that do not occur in the (corresponding part of the) results, and only for those parameters for which the main report passes (all
    user-selected) parameter values, and not the actual values in the results. The results are correct, though.
    If there is a way to directly determine the scope of multi-value parameters for passing to a drill-through report, I would still like know. But for now, this seems to work.

  • Drill through report with parameters that user can change

    Hi Team,
    Need to provide user the ability to select the parameters in drill through report.
    But even after changing parameters to different values and click view reports.Its getting reset to the parameter that being passed from main report.
    Is there any way we can override these parameter values in drill through reports so that It can also work as normal report.
    Thanks!

    The user is interfacing with the main report so add the needed subreport parameters to both reports. In the main report, select the subreport > properties > Parameters. add the subreport parameters and set the value to the same parameter in the main
    report by clicking expression builder (fx) and selecting the appropriate parameter.

  • Passing values to subreport that has many records?

    I have a report with a subreport in it and that subreport is a bill that includes things like name, address, etc. My report will run the subreport many times for each bill that comes up.
    I am needing to pass values to text objects in these individual subreports that is information that is obtained in the code. My code works fine when this subreport is ran on it's own but I'm having trouble figuring out how to change the code up to put the information into individual subreports. Here is a simple example of some of my code:
    using (PrintBills reportPrintBills = new PrintBills())
        using (CrystalReportBill reportBill = new CrystalReportBill())
            CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject lblBalanceDue = ((CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject)reportBill.Summary.ReportObjects["lblBalanceDue"]);
            CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject lblName = ((CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject)reportBill.Summary.ReportObjects["lblName"]);
            DataSet ds = new DataSet();
            GetBills(ref ds, "Bills", date);
            DataView dvID = new DataView(ds.Tables["Bills"]);
            num = 0;
            foreach (DataRowView rowID in dvID)
                GetBioInfo(ref ds, "BioData", id);
                DataRow row = ds.Tables["BioData"].Rows[num];
                lblName.Text = row["Stu_Name"].ToString();
                lblBalanceDue.Text = String.Format("{0:C}", row["Amount_Due"]);
                num++;
        reportPrintBills.SetParameterValue("@tblMonth", date);
        reportPrintBills.SetParameterValue("@begdate", strBegdate);
        reportPrintBills.SetParameterValue("@enddate", strEnddate);
        //Export to PDF code here
    reportBill does not display the values obviously. Somehow I need to set that reportBill is a subreport of reportPrintBills in the code so that each record will recognize the TextObject values that I am sending to them.
    Another solution I've tried is adding parameter fields to reportBill and reportPrintBills and linking them up and then passing values like so:
    foreach (DataRowView rowCWID in dvCWID)
        GetBioInfo(ref ds, "BioData", id);
        DataRow row = ds.Tables["BioData"].Rows[num];
        name = row["Stu_Name"].ToString();
        amtDue = String.Format("{0:C}", row["Amount_Due"]);
        reportPrintBills.SetParameterValue("@strName", name);
        reportPrintBills.SetParameterValue("@strAmtDue", amtDue);
        num++;
    But the value stays the same in all of the subreports rather than changing with each pass through.

    Open the report up in the Designer and Click on Edit, Subreport Links. Likely what you can do is use Shared Variables to pass values from the main report to the subreport.
    You need to do this in the report first. If you are using RAS then you can at runtime. If RAS is not available to you then no way in code.

  • Issue passing values to text symbols in Dynamic text PDF forms

    Hello Everyone,
    I am facing a problem related to Dynamic texts in Adobe PDF forms (Text node of type include text). I am able to pass the dynamic values to the Text node properties but i am not able to pass the values to Text symbols inside the Text node. When tested it says the field not found. I have the same structure and field in the CONTEXT as that of the text symbol. The problem i see is because in PDF the field names have $record.(fieldname) ?
    Please share your thoughts if anyone has faced similar problem or know how to handle it.

    If I click A2 then that should be passed as parameter to detail report and display A2 data in detail report.

  • Passing multi value parameter to the Drill through report

    Hi
    I have two reports say Report A and Report B.
    Both reports using same parameters.
    I am Navigating from Report A to Report B using Jump to Report option.
    Now when I pass multiple parameter to the Report B it only displays first parameter results.
    In report B I have parameter multi value select to true.
    I would like to know if its possible or not to pass multi value parameter in drill through report?
    I would appreciate if someone can help me here.

    Yes you can pass multi value parameters to a drill through report.
    It works similar to multi value parameters for subreports, which is discussed in detail in this thread: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=163803&SiteID=1
