How Long Nokia Care Takes to Repair a Lumia 928 Au...

I have send my Lumia 928 to Nokia Care on Last June 21 as it has developed a audio problem during the warrenty
It has been more than 60 Days now still the tracking shows it is in repair and the hot line agents cannot also give reason for the delay.
Is it normal for them to take so long? because the tracking site says it only takes 7-10 days?
What should I do now?

Hi, Vjanakaw. Thanks for sharing this with us. The repair duration depends on various factors such as the availability of the parts that needs to be replaced. On your situation that it's more than 2 months since you handed it for repair, the best course of action is to coordinate with your local Nokia Support team for further assistance: www.nokia.com/support.

  • HT3302 How much will be charged for replacing a cracked screen for iPhone 5? How long it will take for repair?

    Hi Folks,
I am a visitor and had my iPhone 5 cracked the front screen today, I just want to know how long it will take for repair if I send to Apple USA, and the charge for the replacement of the cracked screen.
Thanks for your advice in advance, I am currently in LA and will put into LA Apple Store asap.

Warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin.
If the device was not purchased in the US, an Apple store in the US will not touch it.

  • I have to get my 13 in macbook pro with retina display fixed because of an internal crack and I was wondering how long it will take to repair the screen.

Since I have to get it fixed and I'm a college student and need my laptop asap, I just want to know how long it will take for my screen to get fixed so I can go back to doing my work.

No one here could possibly know... you'll have to take your machine to your local Apple Store or an AASP to even begin to get an idea as to how much time it could take to fix your machine.
I had to wait 10 days just to get fans replaced on my old MacBook Pro...

  • How long does it take to repair a damaged cable?

I am wondering if anyone reading this can advise me. I'm sorry if it's a long read. Grab a brew and a biscuit
My partner and I live in a small cottage adjacent to a working farm in Wales. For the third year running, the farmer has ploughed the field that our telephone line is buried in and in doing so, has cut through our line leaving us with no land line phone or Internet access.
Unfortunately although the farmer is apologetic about the inconvenience this causes us, he is also fairly unrepentant; the line has been laid in the middle of a working field and he says that it is simply not buried deep enough to avoid being damaged by the machinery. The field is part of his livelihood and the ploughing is a necessary part of that.
Until quite recently we had a BT Business line and on the two previous occasions that this happened, they sent along an engineer and the line was repaired between 24 and 48 hours after we logged the problem.
This year we no longer have the Business line. We phoned in the fault to the call centre on Friday 23/3. We were told that the fulfilment date would be within 3 working days (Wednesday 28th) but in actual fact would probably be sooner. This sounded fairly reasonable. At this point we thought we would get the promised status updates via SMS.
On Saturday at 2pm an Openreach engineer turned up at the door, which is fairly impressive on the face of it. However, in spite of the fact that we had already identified the fault, he spent five minutes or so inspecting the box that the line runs into at the back of the house. For some reason he then cut the line where it enters the box with a pair of wire cutters, before announcing his conclusion that the problem was a break in the line somewhere off the premises (which we already knew and reported as such when we phoned in the fault).
He claimed he did not have the equipment to fix it in his van and would be back on Monday.
Monday came and went with no sign of an engineer. On Tuesday morning at around 11am he turned up with another engineer. They set up some equipment at the back of the house and disappeared into the field at the side with a device that looked somewhat like a metal detector. Ten or fifteen minutes later they returned and put the equipment back in their van. We thought they would tell us what was happening but they just got in the van and drove away.
During this period we have not been updated at all with the status of our fault. On Tuesday evening I contacted the call centre in an attempt to get an update and the gentleman I spoke to could tell me nothing at all about any progress but claimed that the problem was still scheduled to be fixed by Wednesday (the following day) and promised to call me back the next day between 7 and 8pm.
Wednesday went by with no further progress. The gentleman at the call centre rang me back, true to his word, but then immediately put me on hold for fifteen minutes before coming back to say that the department he needed to speak to was not available due to being 'very busy'. He did, however inform me that the line had been damaged by "pluffing" and that the entire line would need to be re-laid and this would take "special digging equipment" and also "permission from the authorities".
I enquired about escalating the case or could I at least speak to someone who could give me a more tangible update and he told me quite firmly that I was 'not allowed' to make any other calls or speak to anyone else about it. He promised me that he would ring back the following evening. I await his call with little expectation of good news.
In the six days since we reported the problem the Openreach engineers have spent no more than around twenty-five minutes in total dealing with the fault.
In the meantime we are completely cut off and we live in a very remote area. We depend on the Internet for banking, shopping, paying bills, speaking to relatives overseas and also for an online study course, not just for entertainment (although of course we use it for that as well). In short, it is essential to our way of life. Our nearest wireless hotspot is a 45-mile round trip away; I am having to make this trip more-or-less every day.
We are so frustrated at the poor service we are receiving, especially in the light of the stellar service that Business customers get by comparison. Is there anybody out there who can help?

If you would like to contact one of the UK based BT Care Team who moderate this forum, they may be able to help you.
They can be contacted using this link BT Care Team
They normally respond by phone or e-mail, within three working days, however you should get an immediate confirmation, with a tracking number.
There are some useful help pages here, for BT Broadband customers only, on my personal website.

  • How long does ACER take to repair a laptop?

ACER have had my laptop for more than a week and the original email they sent, said theey would keep me in formed on the repair. I have no news yet is this normal?

    Hello
Please don?t be mad on me but how you expect some answer on it when you know that it depends, mostly, on parts that service partner need and must order from factory directly.
I know that it should be done faster but about that you should discuss with service partner directly.

  • Apple has placed a temporary authorization amount hold in my card for repair. My old iphone has been received by apple. how long does it take to release the amount?

Apple has placed a temporary authorization amount hold in my card for repair. My old iphone has been received by apple. how long does it take to release the amount?

How long it takes depends partially on your bank. Once they release it, it could take several days for the authorization to roll off of your account. It is generally not a problem unless you're using a debit card, which will lock the funds in your checking account and make them unavailable, which I presume you did or you wouldn't be worried about it.
This is not unique to Apple. That's a problem when using debit cards for any purchase.  Several years ago, when gas prices spiked to $4 a gallon here, gas stations would routinely authorize and hold upwards of $100 every time you tried to pay at the pump. Created some major headaches for the working stiffs just trying to get to their jobs and pay the bills.

  • Mailing off macbook for repair--how long should it take?

Sometime next week I will be mailing off my macbook to have the optical drive replaced under warranty. Since I'm mailing it to some shop in Texas and I'm not taking it to an apple store, I assume they will have the parts on hand and will fix it immediately--by the day after they receive it--right?
For those of you who HAVE mailed off your macbook for repair: how long did it take to get it back? A week? 2? 3?
    Thanks!

The place you're mailing it to in Texas is one of the main facilities where Apple fixes portable computers in the US. Their turn around time is typically same day, or usually within 24-36 hours. Factor in shipping to and from (Sundays if involved) and you'll get your machine, barring any shipping incidents within 5-7 days (or less).

If Apple has not received your phone, obviously it can't even be evaluated for warranty purposes. Have you tried calling AppleCare to verify whether they have received the phone or not?

We are Users, like yourself. We do not work for Apple. Contact them directly at the location you turned in your unit. Depending on parts supply stock and work load, completion time can change day to day.

  • How long can it take for BT to repair a BT line?

I am concerned that I am going for some sort of record!
I have been having problems with my telephone line, there is no dial-tone and the DSL is all over the place.  After checking that it was not an equipment failure on my side I logged a fault on the 9th February.  Literally within hours (I was impressed) I had not one but two BT vans outside to trace the fault.  They very efficiently diagnosed the problem to be a connection fault with the wire that was replaced about a year ago (the grass has only just grown back in my front garden).  That was it.  A week later I still had the fault, the fault web site says the ticket was closed and so I called in to 151 and was told “an engineer would be with me by 5pm that day”, they were not.  So the next day I called again and was told “an engineer would be with me by 5pm that day”; fearing a bad case of deja vu at this point I asked to speak with a supervisor who was very understanding.  However, basically I was told that the line is waiting for contractors to dig up the wire again and would have to wait until “next month”.  How long should this take?
I am at the point where I am waiting for some undefined point in time for someone to dig a hole so that someone else can come along and fix the wire.  I have been a BT customer basically since I left home, quite some years ago, this line alone I have had ADSL on since early 2001.  At this point I am considering dropping everything I have with BT and switching to another provider entirely.  I try to do my bit for the environment and work from home when I can, currently I either hit the environment and drive into work or it cost me on my cell phone.  The only reason I have not already as I know that they would end up providing the connection over the same wire – perhaps their customer service will be better…  If there was virgin cable in my street I would have switched already!

    Hi AGeezer,
If the road has to be dug up then there needs to be permission granted from owner/council and of course the road must be closed etc so sometimes it can take a while to get all this arranged.
I'll be happy to keep you up to speed and let you know what's happening as the updates come through.
Could you drop me in an email please with your BT account and telephone number along with a link back to this thread.
Just send to the email address in my profile and mark FAO Craig please.
    Thx
