How much to identify pending txn/data during oracle streams latency

Hi ,
I have configured Downstream replication between database. Sometime i am getting latency due to large txn. Latency  is taking more than 6 hrs to drain. How to check below things
     pending transaction?
     How much data's are in pending?
     How long it will take to replicate.
Could you please help on this

Hi, You can try as below:
Source Side
Replication is very quick. You can see the progress as below:
1. Sql> Select capture_message_number from v$streams_capture;
XXXXXX
2. Query the current archived logfiles that the stream is processing;
QL> select name, completion_time from v$archived_log where XXXXXX between FIRST_CHANGE# and NEXT_CHANGE#;
NAME                                               COMPLETION_TIME
/AGNCSYST/arch/1_299.dbf                           28-07-2009 13:26:48
Repeat this query a couple of times to see the progress.
When you will get null value, then Capture process is up to date.
TARGET/ Stage side
Then check on Stage side to see the progress
1. Run below SQL -- APPLIED_MESSAGE_NUMBER should moving
column APPLIED_MESSAGE_NUMBER heading "applied_scn" format 999999999999
column OLDEST_MESSAGE_NUMBER heading "oldest_scn" format 999999999999
select APPLY_NAME, APPLIED_MESSAGE_NUMBER, OLDEST_MESSAGE_NUMBER
from dba_apply_progress;
2. Check how far apply process
select (APPLY_TIME-APPLIED_MESSAGE_CREATE_TIME)*86400 "Latency_in_Seconds",
(sysdate-APPLY_TIME)*86400 "Latency_in_Seconds",
TO_CHAR(APPLIED_MESSAGE_CREATE_TIME,'HH24:MI:SS MM/DD/YY')  "Event_Creation",
TO_CHAR(APPLY_TIME,'HH24:MI:SS MM/DD/YY')  "Apply_Time"
FROM DBA_APPLY_PROGRESS;
Latency_in_Seconds Latency_in_Seconds Event_Creation    Apply_Time
              1915                617 11:00:04 08/18/11 11:31:59 08/18/11
Compare the value of Event_creation and Apply time.
Thanks

  • How To... Update Master Data during upload of transaction data

    Can anybody let me know how this can be achieved.
    I have datasource (Legacy not R3) where I am getting both master data and text for number of infoobjects.
    I dont want separate datasources.
    The datasource is actually transactional datasource.
    I dont need text in the cubes or DSO I need the text tables of the infoobjects to be updated.
    I could find this on SDN but do anyone have document based on the below link.I was not able to find it.
    How To... Update Master Data during upload of transaction data
    Thanks.

    Dear Praveen
    I guess yr req is demanding the knowledge of Data Unification and Synchronization whose scope is a bit outer the area of BW.( its MDM actually )
    In BW we could very well fetch data out of different data sources (even across the different system) with no issues so why not u trying that. if there is any issue implementing that then please specify what kind of trouble you are interfacing...
    I got the below link which may be helpful

  • How much space used by App + Data

    Is there any way to determine how much space is used by each app including it's data?
    I have estimated how much space my apps should be occupying and it's 2 GB less that what iTunes shows. I can only assume that one ore more of my apps is taking up much more space that I think it would. I do have an app that is storing lots of photos. After estimating the total size based on the size and number of photos and talking to the developer it does not account for the missing space. The best thing is to actually see true app sizes with their data but I can't figure out how.
    Thanks

    HI Steve,
    I do have an app that is storing lots of photos.
    Something to keep in mind when syncing photos. When syncing photos to iPad, iTunes automatically creates a size optimized for iPad, if necessary. See “Syncing with iTunes” on page 28 from the iPad online user guide available here.
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPad_UserGuide.pdf
    That could make a difference in the space available on your iPad.
    The best thing is to actually see true app sizes with their data but I can't figure out how.
    Try resizing images on your computer first, then sync to iPad. If you are PC / Windows, help here:

  • How much personally-identifiable information do websites see?

    Hi folks,
    I just wanted to ask how much of my personally-identifible information do websites see? As in, if I go over to Disney.com and browse through it, what do their webmasters and operators see?
    I'm fine with websites seeing my IP address, because it's unavoidable. It's one of those things. And I'm fine with people seeing that I'm using Safari and a MacBook Pro. I'm even okay with websites knowing what I searched and what I viewed. However, do they see my login name on my mac? I.e. Joe Bloggs? And do they see my mac name? Or anything personal?
    I'm sorry this is a weird question. But I'm one of those individuals that really gets frustrated when the WWW treats my personal information as a commercial commodity that can be sold and used by big companies. I've had a run-in where my name and postal address was sold to a direct marketing company, and it took ages to get off their list.
    Have a nice day.
    Cheers :-)

  • So really how much is my Option 1 data limit of 10...

    Greetings Gurus,
    Here is my conundrum. I try to monitor my usage and use the broadband monitor on the ' my BT page' pasting the figures into a spreasheet.   So far so good, all I need to clarify is just how much is my daily allowance?
    Say for the month of November withits 30 days, Is the daily allowance 1/30th of exactly 10 Gigabytes (or 10,000 Megabytes) or is it 1/30 of what some in the data community regard as 10 Gigabytes which is 10,737.42 megabytes.
    It makes quite a difference  and you never know it might save me £5 if i creep over my monthly limit. Over to the experts - all opinions welcome or even a definitive answer from BT.
    TTFN

    Cannot fault the maths here my Amigos, thanks for the rapid response and so good to see that standards of numeracy are being maintained
    I got the same answer on my Sinclair Scientific
    Gonna keep an eye on the utilisation and amend my spreadsheet to be exactly 10Gigabytes/10000 Megabytes instead of my more optimistic figure.
    Any other views welcome on when is a Gigabyte not a Gigabyte

  • How much Maximum  Distance  I would keep between Oracle EM OMS and Agent ?

    Hello There,
    Here I am asking little curious question which come in my mind ?
    Actually We have many client geographically located in different cities.And we are remotely managing their databases on VPN.
    I just wanted to Install One Enterprise Manager Grid control for all these databases.
    Here I assume we have 10Mbps Line between our head quater and Clients.
    And regular agent upload max 1.5GB per month for each client.
    Is it possible ?
    If possible how much max distance(miles) do you recommended.
    Thanks
    Hemesh.
    Edited by: Hemss on Jan 28, 2011 5:14 PM

    Hi Hemesh,
    are you sure that 2 GB of data are uploaded with every heartbeat? The best idea to figure out would be - from my point of view - just to test
    it. Otherwise you will not get any feeling for the upload amount and upload time...

  • How load from MS Word document data to Oracle?

    Hello,
    if anybody have any idea of how to load data from microsoft word document data field by field to oracle database, instead of doing through the mailmerge. we have word documents which will have descriptions, titles, financial data for different years say for example from 1 to 10 years data in this case how can i load directly from document to oracle database? I appreciate your inputs.
    Thanks so much....

    Hi,
    Although I use client_ole2 from the webutil package to go the other way i.e load oracle data into a word document, im sure there will be a client_ole2.get_* command to get the value of a field code from a document.

  • How much am I charged for data overage?

    I know I had this information when I changed my plan, but now I can't find it.  The only thing I can find here on-line says that I get charged $15/500MB over.  Is that correct?  So if I go over by 2MB, I'll get charged the same as if I go over 500?

    Depends on which data plan you have, i.e.,
    for plans 1 GB and above, data overage is $15 per 1 GB over
    for the 500 MB plan, data overage is $15 per 500 MB over

  • How much can 16GB of data hold?

    A 16 gig iPhone is going to have around 12 gigs of free space.

  • How much bandwidth does iChat audio chat use?

    I have a friend who has a broadband connection via a 3G/Edge cell phone connection in Europe. She has to pay for bandwidth in chunks of 500mb. Anyone have any idea how much bandwidth audio chat uses on an hourly basis.

    It's complicated by how much data you can send in Video with Audio or Audio only or text chat and by what rate then can accept it.
    iChat normally sends Audio chats at about 25kbps up to about 48kbps
    After that is a question of ding the math.
    This will give the rate that is th Max. What you will not know is how much of that is actually data measured as Download over the service.

  • Retrieve item level dates during service order creation before saving

    I have a requirement where I need to retrieve item level date (First Response i.e. APPT_TYPE as SRV_RFIRST) and modify the date and put it back to the same screen field when ever a line item is entered.
    To do this we found a BADI CRM_SERVICE_I_BADI which triggers when ever we enter line item. We tried many FM which retrieves item level dates from buffer CRM_DATES_READ_MULTIPLE_OB; CRM_DATES_READ_SINGLE_OB;
    CRM_DATES_READ_SINGLE_OW;
    Most of them are returning all the dates except first response. No configuration issues. Can anyone help me how to get the first response date during creation.
    Thanks
    Vamsee

    Hi Vamsee,
    Do you happen to know the solution? We have similar issue too as we can not retrieve the new entered dates and process it in BADI CRM_SERVICE_I_BADI.
    I would appreciate your reply if you have a solution.
    Thanks,
    Bin

  • Where do I go to find out how much memory I have left?

    Where do I go to find out how much memory I have left?

    Use the Settings app.
    Settings > General > Usage
    You should see how much storage space is used on your device and how much remains. It takes a little while for the apps section to update but that area will tell you how much storage is being used by each app. Tapping on the > next to an app will provide information on how much storage the app requires and how much is being used by data and files.

  • Add master data during transaction load

    While loading a oDS can I add new entries into master data infoobject.
    I don't want to update master data. I need to add new master data along with its attributes.
    Like a new material is found in invoice that's not in material-master.
    Using the invoice I want to add the material into material master
