How register the ECC Client to SLD  automatically

Hi All,
I know the we could use RZ70 to register the ABAP system to SLD
but it seems RZ70 only could register it as the technical system in SLD
but i am wondering is it possible to register the client as the business system in SLD?
let's say: ECC host is erp, and the client is 100, how to register ERPCLNT100 into SLD automatically???
thanks a lot

Hi,
From PI7.0 onwards ECC client registered automatically  in SLD.
Check more on PI installation guidelines.
Re: Installing PI 7.0
Thanks.

  • How to make email client account setup automatically select inbound mail and smtp server.

I have the mail service successfully running on OS X Server 10.8.2.  I am able to send and receive email as well as setup email accounts on various email clients (iphone, ipad, mac, etc).  I notice that when I set up a new account that I have to specify both the inbound and smtp mail servers as well as specifying the user id for each.  I am using an SSL certificate that appears to be working.  The ports are selected (993/995 and 587) automatically and the default is to use SSL.
However, when I set up a Comcast account - (configured as "other") - I only have to enter Full name, email address and password - and from this it is able to determine that the incoming mail server is "mail.comcast.net" and outgoing smtp server is "smtp.comcast.net".  It also fills in the userid and password for both inbound and smtp servers - as well as the ports.  I have been trying to get this to work automatically when setting up accounts for my mail server - but have not been able to figure out how to do this - or if it is possible.
In googling - I have found that I can set up several different SRV records such as (_submission._tcp, _imap._tcp, _imaps._tcp, _pop3._tcp, _pop3s._tcp) and these are supposed to provide this functionality to email clients that are able to use the SRV records.  I have set these up externally at my registered domain provider - and I am able to query them via nslookup, dig and host.
Is Comcast using some other special method of providing the server names to the mail client setup - or am I doing something wrong - or is this a functionality that needs to be supported on the mail server side as well.  I am relatively new to mail servers and trying to work my way through the learning process.

Understand the functionality you are wanting, basically one can use Outlook / Exchange mail server as an example. It just happens.
As I understand in the background the DNS _SRV records point to a machine which serves up an XML file and that is the information which tells the client how to configure itself.
I did some research before posting my first reply and found that, in the Apple client situation, even when someone setup the the SRV records + the XML it didn't work seamlessly.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/12949449#12949449
Here's some other links that give some more background.

    http://www.virtuworks.com/how-to-setup-outlook-autodiscovery-for-your-domain/
If you were going to persue it you will need to find out the format for the autodiscovery XML file. Also the XML file will have to be hosted on your server, you couldn't likely put it on the public DNS server.

  • How is the dsame client find the server ?

    Hi,
    manager = SSOTokenManager.getInstance();
    token = Manager.createSSOToken(new AuthPrincipal("uid=amAdmin,ou=administrators,ou=topologymanagement,o=netscaperoot"), "abcdefg123");
    amConn = new AMStoreConnection(Token);
    I have above code fragment in a standalone Java application. The Java client could not find the server. I could not use Httprequest to get the server infomation. I tried token.setproperty("hostname",dsame. wad.com.au);
    tolen.setproperty("port",58080);
    But this doesn't help.
    Thanks in advance!!

  • Changing the ECC Client in DEV affects Transformation?

    Hi,
    I have a Clarification here.
We have 2 clients for ECC Dev, 300 & 100.  We completed all our developments in BID linking to 300 client.  Now, Customer says that he has more data in 100 client, so he wants to do testing of that data.
We have activated all the MD & TD Datasources in 300 Client and all the Transformation mappings are also pointing to 300.
How can this be achieved?  Now, if suppose, Basis changes the Logical system to 100, do i have to do all the Activations in ECC again for 100?  Do I have to create Transformations for all the Targets again?
    Thanks for your time.
    Regards,
    Murali

    Hi Murali,
Transformations are not source system dependent, when you say that you can see the name of source system in your transformation, where actually you can see that name? In the description or do you have source system as field in the header informaiton of Transformation?
You can get the difference, when you double click on your Data source you will see the Source system as separate field in the header information, but in case of transformation you will have only source or transformation and Target as important fields along with other fields.
Or are you saying that in the transformation mapping of fields you have source system ID assigned to target field source system ID?
And during transport source system changes are taken care by using transport connection, go to your RSA1 transaciton in the target system and go to Transport Connection-----> "Conversion" button on the tool bar here you can do the mapping of your source client and target client.

  • I want to sync a second ipod touch to itunes, however my daughter has some how registered the new ipod  under my sons old one, she has deleted asll content and i have now reset it, how do i stop it being recognised as the old one

my daughters new ipod touch is being recognised as my sons old one on itunes, this has caused the ipod to lock and she has lost all content. i now want to get itunes to recognise her new ipod , but it is still recognising it as the old one, how can i sort this out

Does both your Windows and Macbook iTunes have the same library of songs?
if it  does then, much easier to proceed, else try to load the Macbook with the same library as Windows.
Note that only one of the Macbook USB port is good for iPod Classic, the other is too slow and may cause timeout, and I would suggest disconnect all other USB devices, while you Restore or Sync the iPod Classic.
Connect the iPod to the Mac, (if iTunes launch, please close it back.)
Use Disk Utility -> select the iPod Device->First Aid->Repair (use option FAT32)
After the Repair complete, eject the iPod.
    Connect back to the Mac
When iTunes launch, Restore the iPod when Prompted, (use FAT32)
    Sync your library.
    Good Luck!

  • How could the wireless ethernet card running automatic when system reboot?

I have already setup the wireless networking card correctly which name is wpi0,but every time when I use it to link to internet,
I had to key the instuction like this :
    ifconfig wpi0 plumb
    ifconfig wpi0 up
    ifconfig wpi0 dhcp
    and then input:
    wificonfig -i wpi0 connect mywifi
comment: mywifi is the profile file of connection to my wireless router
I had set it with the instruction before like thisi
    wificonfig createprofile mywifi essid=2WIRE678 encryption=wep wepkey1=1234567890
anybody can help me group up the command line and has it running automatic when system reboot
it seems the wireless card always need manual connect to router, that 's trouble.

It should connect on it's own. Which version of Solaris are you using?
If worse comes to worse just drop all of your commands into a simple script and then run that script as part of your .profile or equivalent.

  • How to find ECC users from solution manager

    All,
I want to know is it possible to get the list of ECC users from different clients and environments within Solution manager. Also how can I see from solution manager what are the ECC clients it had connections with.
    Thanks

    Hi,
try the report AI_SDK_USER_BP_GEN within Solman. You can check the users of all connected systems there and additionally generate business partners for them.
To get an overwiev over the system landscape try transaction SMSY.
    Best regards,

  • How to add ECC Sales Orders to Interaction History?

I have configured the Interaction History Profiles through IMG --> CRM --> IC WebClient --> Master Data --> Define Interaction History Profiles. In the profile, I added transaction type TA along with other custom transaction types. The new profile was assigned to the functional profile on the business role. However, I am unable to see any sales order history in the interaction history (but am able to see the other custom transaction types).
I made similar configuration changes to the account fact sheet. Here I followed instructions from this blog: http://sites.google.com/site/rupeshpatil/tweets/addsalesordertoaccountfactsheet . I used transaction type TA for the search display. The account fact sheet is able to retrieve the ECC sales orders without any problems.
I am also having the same issue with agent inbox search for sales orders, but this is not as critical.
The ERP Sales Order Profiles have also been set up to use the ECC client with document types OR and TA, and have been assigned to the functional profile on the business role. IMG --> CRM --> IC WebClient --> Business Transaction --> ERP Sales Order --> Define Profiles for Sales Order

Check class CL_CRM_IC_IHISTSEARCH_IMPL (the view controller's class), method SET_ALLOWED_BT_OBJECT_TYPES, you'll see these values hard-coded.

  • ECC Client switch to SCM 7.0

    Hello,
We are planning to switch our ECC Development client from 120 to 130 which is already connected to SCM system and has data related to ECC 120.
When switch the ECC client from 120 to 130 and run the Integration Models again, what are possibilities of SCM system data to become junk or Inconsistent?
1).  SCM data needs to be scrambled before we run the Integraion Models from New client?
2).  SCM data gets appended with new Data from new client?
    Kindly provide your views...
    Thanks,
    Arjun

    Arjun
It depends on which modules of SCM you are using. If you are using DP integrated with a BI system, the Infocubes/ Time Series Data could be inconsistent after switching. If you are using GATP with Product Allocation (again due to DP/ BI linkage), you could have the same issue.
Other than that you might be ok if you simply do CIF initialize (RIMODINI) and also do a Transaction data reconciliation (/SAPAPO/CCR).
As far as possible, my opinion is that it is always better to rebuild the SCM system everytime the connected ECC client changes rather than attempt to clean it. The reason is that should anything look funny in Development (either due to an enhancement or while testing standard functionality), you will always be thinking in the back of your mind that it might be due to the client switching. The fewer wild cards you introduce in your development environment, the better off your testing.

  • How to find out what server the outlook client is connected to/change it automatically

    Hi,
I am performing a server migration from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2010 (the previous installation was installed by an outsourced provider and is rubbish so I'm configuring it properly). On the of things the existing server lacks is a CAS array configured,
so I have built the new Exchange 2010 server, configured a new DB and CASArray. I have created a brand new mailbox for a new user and the user's outlook shows it is connected to casarray.domain.local, I have migrated my own mailbox but internally my outlook
shows it is connected to oldserver.domain.local (under the account settings when you go to change the settings for the account), this is on a domain joined internal desktop. But at home on my personal laptop non-domain joined, it has appeared to reflect the
new casarray.domain.local. The outlook client is 2007 in both situations.
When I run the following command, it shows my mailbox is indeed connected to the new exchange server, but this is not true in outlook
    Get-LogonStatistics -Server "new-exch2010" | where {$_.clientname -eq "new-exch2010"}| ft username,servername,clientname
If I run the above command against the old server my name shows on that list as well. When I look at the connection status of my outlook it shows that it is connected to casarray for directory, but the old server for mail.
    A couple of other things:
Mailflow is now going to the new exchange server from the gateway over port 25, the autodiscover record in the internal DNS is now also pointing to the new exchange server, outlook clients and users computers have been completely restarted but still don’t
seem to pick up the new settings, both the old server and new server functions as a multi-role exchange having the Hub, CAS and MBX roles.
Now that you have all that background info my question is two parts:
What is the correct powershell command I can run on the exchange server to ensure that all my outlook clients are connected to the new exchange server for all connection types (or identify those which are connected against the old server)?
How do I get the outlook clients to automatically pick up the casarray servername once their mailboxes have been migrated?
I am considering removing the CAS from the old server which may force outlook to find it’s new server but am unsure whether this will work or not, and I think I should migrate all the mailboxes into the new DB before I do this.
Other than that, I am out of ideas.
    Appreciate, any help. Thanks
    Steve

I had already run the command Get-MailboxDatabase | FL Identity,RpcClientAccessServer
and it only identified the old database as being tied to the server name, the new database has the correct casarray and all mailboxes are in this new database. should I also set the old database to point to my casarray as the second command indicates? can't
    do any harm right?
also, I have outlook 2007 and 2013 at home and both of them had automatically reconfigured
themselves to point to casarray, my problem is with the internal clients.
today I have also noticed in DNS there is a Zone which points to autodiscover.domain.co.uk
and in there it points to my old server.
a few things to note about the above:
    1. the zone is pointing to the .co.uk domain not the .local - is this correct?
    2. should that zone even be in our internal DNS, i hadn't noticed on previous implementation
    of Exchange I have done
    3. if i change the record within that zone to point to my new server, will this likely show
up the popup message shown in this link http://www.rackspace.com/apps/support/portal/1218 I havent yet got a certificate for the new exchange server (few more days) and i dont want users seeing any kind of untrusted unsecure connection box or it
will only lead to panic and flooding the helpdesk
    many thanks

  • How to know the size (GB) of an ECC client?

For R/3 seems there was no way to know the client's size in terms of GB.
It's said that in ECC6.0 it is possible.
If so, would you please inform us the way to do it?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Do the test run of the local client copy or else u can run the report RSSPACECHECK.
Take a look at note 118823.
Also u can Create one new client. Perform the test client copy with the client whose size you want to know.
    Hope this helps more.
    Thanks

  • How to register AS Java in Solman SLD right?

    Hello Community,
i have little difficulties with our solution manager (7.01). I want to register a java system (netweaver portal 7.3) for implementing support package stacks. But i don't know how to do it right.
    I tried it manually.
At first i created a server, then database and the product system in TA SMSY. My Product system is SAP NW 7.3 -> sid: GSP. The technical systems are: Java Extensions, AS JAVA, EP Core, Enterprise portal. All of them are relevant for the product system and assigned to a technical Java System.
When i start the mopz and create a new maintenance transaction i can see my system. Now i can choose:
Calculate Files Automatically - Recommended or Select Files Manually.
I want to chose the automatic version but i get this error: Wrong Input data: Wrong or higher EHP version found SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.3
So how to do it right. Is there any way to register the java stack autmatically in the solman sld? Any ideas?
And is there any other way to get the support package stacks für a java stack? It is very hard to select and downlaod each of the nearly 100 packages manually.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Simon,
Please find below the steps to do this:
    1. Please confirm which SLD your SOLMAN is poiting to.(Is it local SLD itself or some other Central SLD).
    2. For Managed ABAP system, go to RZ70 of the managed system and put SLD details and send the data to SLD from there.
    3. For Managed Java system, if it is netWeaver 7.3, Login to NWA since you dont have VA in netweaver 7.3.
follow the below link to update the data supplier in netweaver 7.3. Once the you have all the details, push the data from this system to SLD.
        For Netweaver 7.3 Systems:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/b682df96655295e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
For System where we have VA:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ea/cd2e807e0e45bf9da67354f452fc05/content.htm
    4. Verify if your ABAP and Java data are available in SLD.
    5. If your landscape fetch job is running, it will automatically update your SOLMAN system, or go to transaction SMSY_SETUP and run the job. check once the landscape fetch job is finished in SM37.
    This should help.
Please avoid creating manuall entries. If you have created manuall entries in SOLMAN, delete them.

  • HT1338 Purchased a used macbook pro with Mountain Lion. My old Mac runs Snow Leopard is backed up to Time machine. How do I register the operating system to me and how do I use Time Machine to move my files to the new used computer?

Purchased a used macbook pro with Mountain Lion. My old Mac runs Snow Leopard is backed up to Time machine. How do I register the operating system to me and how do I use Time Machine to move my files to the new used computer?

If you look at the User Tips tab, you will find a write up on just this subject:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4053
The subject of buying/selling a Mac is quite complicated.  Here is a guide to the steps involved. It is from the Seller's point of view, but easily read the other way too:
    SELLING A MAC A
Internet Recovery, and Transferability of OS & iLife Apps
    Selling an Old Mac:
    • When selling an old Mac, the only OS that is legally transferable is the one that came preinstalled when the Mac was new. Selling a Mac with an upgraded OS isn't doing the new owner any favors. Attempting to do so will only result in headaches since the upgraded OS can't be registered by the new owner. If a clean install becomes necessary, they won't be able to do so and will be forced to install the original OS via Internet Recovery. Best to simply erase the drive and revert back to the original OS prior to selling any Mac.
    • Additionally, upgrading the OS on a Mac you intend to sell means that you are leaving personally identifiable information on the Mac since the only way to upgrade the OS involves using your own AppleID to download the upgrade from the App Store. So there will be traces of your info and user account left behind. Again, best to erase the drive and revert to the original OS via Internet Recovery.
    Internet Recovery:
    • In the event that the OS has been upgraded to a newer version (i.e. Lion to Mountain Lion), Internet Recovery will offer the version of the OS that originally came with the Mac. So while booting to the Recovery Disk will show Mountain Lion as available for reinstall since that is the current version running, Internet Recovery, on the other hand, will only show Lion available since that was the OS shipped with that particular Mac.
    • Though the Mac came with a particular version of Mac OS X, it appears that, when Internet Recovery is invoked, the most recent update of that version may be applied. (i.e. if the Mac originally came with 10.7.3, Internet Recovery may install a more recent update like 10.7.5)
    iLife Apps:
    • When the App Store is launched for the first time it will report that the iLife apps are available for the user to Accept under the Purchases section. The user will be required to enter their AppleID during the Acceptance process. From that point on the iLife apps will be tied to the AppleID used to Accept them. The user will be allowed to download the apps to other Macs they own if they wish using the same AppleID used to Accept them.
    • Once Accepted on the new Mac, the iLife apps can not be transferred to any future owner when the Mac is sold. Attempting to use an AppleID after the apps have already been accepted using a different AppleID will result in the App Store reporting "These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID".
    • It appears, however, that the iLife Apps do not automatically go to the first owner of the Mac. It's quite possible that the original owner, either by choice or neglect, never Accepted the iLife apps in the App Store. As a result, a future owner of the Mac may be able to successfully Accept the apps and retain them for themselves using their own AppleID. Bottom Line: Whoever Accepts the iLife apps first gets to keep them.
    SELLING A MAC B
Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
    A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
    B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
    1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
    2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
    3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
    side.
    4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
    sure to opt for that.
Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
    startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
    1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
    3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
    4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
    5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See.What to do with iCloud before selling your computer
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
    A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
    1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
    2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
    3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
    4. Install OS X.
    5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
    6. Shutdown the computer.
    B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
it is three times faster than wireless.
    1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
    Utilities window appears.
    2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
    3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click

*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License.
