How set auto growth file for 500 GB Database

Hi
We have 500 GB database every day its grow by 18 GB.
can you please advice me how Can I set auto growth file in MB or percentages?

First - Never rely on Autogrowth for growing the file sizes. This has to be a manual process where you increase the size depending on the growth before hand. Autogrowth should only be relied on for last case/unfortunate scenarios
Second - Dont set Autogrowth in Percentages . Always set it in MB's.
You cant start with say 500 MB and monitor. You need to set this in such a way that increasing this amount does not take up too much time and cause slowness.
Check if you have Instant File Initialization enabled - This will reduce the time taken for initializing DATA files considerably. Check this link -

I saw a "killer tip" for photoshop in which a circular marque selection was made of a layer and then the liquify filter command selected and the entire layer could be seen in the liquify dialog box, but everything but the selection was "frozen", that is, masked in red so that liquify tools don't effect this area.
I can't make this work on CS5 on imac. The liquify tool otherwise works perfectly for me

You could use a retangular selection if you inverse the selection
before going to the liquify filter and use the freeze or thaw tools to modify.
You can also use a layer mask or channel to define the protected areas and then
use the mask options in the liquify filter to set to the channel or mask.
You can define protected areas without using a selection, mask or channel with
the freeze and thaw tools in the liquify filter.

Yeah, it depends and you will need to adjust thoses parameters during the "life" of the database.
I give you some of my thoughts (that's just thoughts, not a rule => there is no perfect rule) :
500 users = Unix box i guess so :
If MTS (dont think u need MTS for 500 users) => SGA = 75% of the RAM of the server
If NOT MTS (dedicated processes) => SGA = 50% of the RAM
Say 2GB of RAM on no MTS :
buffer cache = 900 MB
shared pool = 100MB to 200 MB
sort_area_size = 256KB
something like 50 to 100 RBS (depends on how many users are connected simultaneously)
for the users which will not do some OLTP operations, you should make few BIG RBS and assign their transactions to them. for thoses users, you probably need a bigger sort_area_size.
all the tablespaces LOCALLY MANAGED
backup with RMAN

There is no such option in BB 10.
However, you can achieve a similar result by setting your email sync timeframe to 14 days (the closest option).
If you are using an ActiveSync account (such as Hotmail, Outlook.com), go to Settings > Accounts > select the account. Tap advanced at the bottom of the screen. Scroll to the very bottom, tap Sync Timeframe and set to 14 days.
If you are using an IMAP account (such as Gmail or GMX), you will have to delete, then re-add your account. The Sync Time frame is only avaialble during setup for these accounts. When adding, tap advanced at the bottom of the screen and set the Sync Timeframe.

I have read multiple 'best practice' advice articles to not se 'auto shrink' to true, and I understand the potential issue with index fragmentation, but I percieve this advice is for user created application databases and not for the ReportServer and
reportserverTempDB databases.

Could you put it on - sure. Should you put it on - (My personal opinion is) never.
There is more to it than just fragmenting indexes.
About every half an hour or so the internal information kept about the database will be used to figure out if it should and can shrink and to about what size. This might be great for overnight when no one is using it, but the first time new extents are needed
(since it just shrunk very small from no/light usage of reporting services) all requests will be halted until the data and log files grow. Basically you'll create a cycle of start->grow->stop->shrink->grow->shrink->grow->ad nausea. If
you don't want to waste the resources of constantly growing and shrinking (plus all of the stopping when it happens) then don't enable it. If you don't care or it's not a big deal, go ahead and enable it but I'm not quite sure why a few MB would make a big
difference?
The reporting server databases are still "user" databases, they are not special system databases.

Auto run file for installation of HP Officejet 8500 Pro A909g Missing from driver download

I have a HP Officejet 8500 Pro A909g. I downloaded the new Windows 8.1 64 bit driver as 8.1 would not allow the scanner to operate on the existing driver. Printing was fine. When i went to install the wizard, auto run file for the wizard is missing and so the installation can not run and instal the new driver.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you're having an issue getting your Officejet 8500 scanning on Windows 8.1. I will do my best to help you with this issue.
Did you upgrade to 8.1 from an older version of Windows?
If so, with it not scanning correctly. You can try just removing the HP Solution Center from programs and features.
Go to the bottom left corner of your screen right click on the Windows icon> go to Control Panel> Go to Programs> uninstall Solution Center if it's listed.
Next, instead of using the printer install wizard. Download the software from this link: HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver. Let it run through, it should prompt to " add more software". This should allow you to reinstall Solution Center.
If you run into issues, there is something you may have to do. If you get a file missing error here, or the install hangs check your computer for the following.
McAfee Live Safe - Disable the "Realtime Scanning".
Check for and remove HPOINS*.dat or HPWINS*.dat. Here is a link to a post by JonW on how to do this: Re: installer setup hangs under Windows 8.1.

I have successfully created ear file using ojdeploy on jenkins. however when am trying to auto deploy using WLDeploy ant task am getting the following
error :
weblogic.application.ModuleException: :oracle.mds.config.MDSConfigurationException:MDS-01335: namespace "/oracle/webcenter/quicklinks/scopedMD" mapped to metadata-store-usage "WebCenterFileMetadataStore" but its definition was not found in MDS configuration
Please advise how to handle this.
As am a newbie to ADF, could you please advise if it is possible for the ADF application deployments can be automated for different environments using jenkins due to this MDS dependencies.

We want to install SAP Fiori Front-End (GW+UI) on the Sandbox system with SAP Netweaver 7.3.1. (SP14)
Gateway component (SAP GW CORE 200 SP10) was installed without any problems.
But I need to install UI-add-on (NW UI Extensions v1.0) and when I try to install it via SAINT, transaction said me that I need to generate xml-file for it (as in General notes for UI add-on mentioned).
But I have Solution Manager 7.0.1 and in MOPZ for this version I do not have option "install Add-on" as it written in Guide for ui add-on installation.
Could you please help me with advice how to generate xml-file for UI add-on installation on SolMan v.7.0.1?
If where is no way, but only to upgrade Solution Manager, maybe somebody could give me xml-file for your system (for NW 731) and I will change it to my needs, I will be very grateful!

You can do this by creating a Login screen for the users and check the authentication of each user in PAI i.e. PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
Store the user information in a database table and check the username and password when the user enters it.
You can display password as *** also. For this double click on input box designed for password and goto Display tab. Select Invisible in the list and check it.

I have the latest adobe creative cloud and i'm using Mac 10.8.2
My client gave me a wmv file that she wants some people blurred out in the background but when I go to import the media, it's greyed out. I'm assuming that After Effects will be the best solution for this, but maybe there is another way.
