How step by step enable ssh service in switch small bussines?

HI,
I upgraded Firmware on switch smallbussines 200, but I don't know how enable SSH.
Could somebody step by step how will do that?

Hi,
with SSH you can't connect by web browser, you can only connect to the cli.
If you want more security with your web browser enable https as shown in my first screen.
In your SSH configuration you set up an SSH user and password, is that the correct method you try to connect?
the more easiest way to connect is with an rsa public key, so server and client exchange the keys by themselves.
To do so, look at my second screen. Sry but i have only an sf302-08 for showing purposes, so i used your screen and marked the steps.
1. Delete the RSA und DSA key by marking them and klick on delete
2. Mark as user authentication "by RSA public key" and klick on apply
3. check the TCP/UDP services, SSH must be enabled manually (screen1)
4. reboot the switch
Now try to connect to the switch by putty or another ssh capable switch.

  • How to Remove & Re-Enable Web Services on LaserJet printers supporting ePrint

If your LaserJet printer has been disconnected from or failed to connect to Web Services, you may need to power cycle your printer to reconnect.  If that does not resolve the problem, you can remove web services, wait 30 seconds, then re-enable web services to re-establish your connection to ePrint and Print Apps. Note: this last step will result in a new email address being assigned to your printer.
How do I remove HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to disable Web Services.
How do I enable or re-enable HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
To use HP ePrint, you must first enable HP Web Services.  Re-Enabling Web Services uses the same procedure as enabling the Web Services.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to enable Web Services.
When Web Services are enabled, ePrint information appears in the HP Embedded Web Server. Look for the e-mail address that is automatically assigned to the product. The product also prints an HP Web Services information sheet that contains this e-mail address and instructions
If you were unable to register your printer in www.hpeprintcenter.com within 24 hours of printing your information sheet, you must re-enable the printer code by reprinting your information sheet.  The information sheet will also provide your email address if you have forgotten it.
How do I print the Web Services Information Sheet for my LaserJet printer?
You can only add the printer to your HP ePrintCenter account within 24 hours after printing the information sheet.  You can re-print the information sheet at any time from the printer control panel.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Click the Print Information Sheet button.

  • Enabling SSH on SG300-20

I had some issues with this, and was not able to find an answer in the help or searching the web. In order to help the next person, here are the instructions:
I have a brand new SG 300-20 switch, and I am attempting to add ssh to the login capabilities.
Using the web interface I have enabled SSH Service in the Security-TCP/UDP Services.
I am not able to access ssh, port scans (nmap) also do not show port 22 open.
The missing key is the generation of SSH crypto keys.
    1. Using the web interface enabled telnet in the Security-TCP/UDP Services section
    2. Log in via telnet
    3. Traverse tree to : System Configuration Menu - Management Settings - SSH Configuration - SSH Crypto Key Generation
    4. Choose the Execute action.
    That's it.
    ssh away !

    Hi
I used your method to generate a RSA key.
I gotta say when i had a look at the algorithm used, as per the screen capture below.
I saw AES256 with Cipher block chaining.. sure looks pretty darn secure.
    US government standards body produced the following;
    http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/nistpubs/800-131A/sp800-131A.pdf
According to section 2 of that document i am pretty happy  and not concerned, cipher block chaining of AES-256.
    This is very strong encryption..
I have attached a SSH wireshark capture of my SSH exchange between my PC and my SG300-10P
If you get can figure my userid, i will absolutely forward this posting to the Cisco Small Business Switch Product management team for immediate action .

  • Step by step how to

I cannot get automounting of AFP Share points to work at all. Not surprisingly, since it seems almost impossible to get even basic SLS services working at all.
Is there anywhere a simple step-by-step to enable auto mounting of afp share points on server "my server" for user xyzzy?
There are many, many discussions on the subject all over this board. I (think) I have read them all and tried all the suggestions, including examining the detailed OD records in WGM.
What would be helpful for me is a simple:
    1. Load WGM
    2. Load SA and Share a drive like this:
         a. Select Volumes...do this...
         b. Select Share points...do this...
         c. Permissions...
         etc.....
Also, is there a magic incantation and/or ancient SNS ritual I need to perform? There is a local voodoo shop in my area and would gladly purchase required eye-of-lizard... etc...
    Sam

Thank you Tony for the helpful reply.
Perhaps it is misplaced expectations with regard to what I would expect to see. The network/server I'm working with is in my own private sandbox, primarily so that I can learn how to manage an Apple server, but also to support my personal and business needs as well.
From the personal aspect here is how I would expect it to work:
My Aperture photo library resides on a share of my server. The sub-folder where it is saved in on a volume called Media. I have several shares located on that volume; Aperture, iTunes, etc...
When I log into my network from my MBP (10.6 client) and plug in my iPhone, invariably Aperture loads always asking to locate my Aperture Library. My goal would then be that as soon as I'm logged in, the folder would be mounted, and Aperture would always load with me having to connect to the drive.
So that's the context. I have only Macs, and I don't intend to have any WIndows boxes, but will have an CentOS installation to host an Oracle server.
I followed your advice exactly for a managed setting using WGM, with the exception that I did not add the shares to the Login Items of my local account, which, to my thinking, would defeat the purpose of having a managed share. My UN/PW for the local and networked users are identical, and I've already successfully bound my account to this computer, using my Network account creds.
The computer has other "test" users on it as well. I'm not using Authenticate Binding, so perhaps that's the issue, because it appears that there is only one binding per computer. I will try that next.
I do understand the difference between public/private DNS and c&p'd both changeip and dig outputs here:
    ssh'd into server:
    g:~ admin$ sudo changeip -checkhostname
    Primary address     = 10.0.1.6
    Current HostName    = g.sp.net
    DNS HostName        = g.sp.net
The names match. There is nothing to change.
    dirserv:success = "success"
    In Terminal on local:
    g:~ admin$
    Sam-MBP-2:~ sampaw$ dig g.sp.net
    ; <<>> DiG 9.6.0-APPLE-P2 <<>> g.sp.net

Should dig 10.0.1.6 return g.sp.net? Seems like it has before, but is not now. (Answers: 0)
Anyway, the suggestion you gave did not work, perhaps because of the binding method or DNS really isn't working.
    Thank you, again, Tony.

  • HT5594 After updating to iOS7 on my iPhone4 I cannot enable location services. How do I enable location services? I have tried turning off restrictions but that did not work.

After updating to iOS7 on my iPhone 4 I cannot enable location services. How do I enable location services? I have tried turning off restrictions but that did not work.

I finally just resolved this after not being able to enable location services since upagrading to iOS 7. Posting the solution here 'cause I couldn't find it anywhere else.
I enabled Restrictions under Settings > General > Restrictions and created a passcode (I'm not sure if this was part of the solution, but it wasn't enabled for me by default.)
In Restrictions, under Privacy, Location Services was set to "Allow Changes" (This still didn't solve the issue of the greyed-out Location Services switch though - I still couldn't turn it on.)
Also in Restrictions, I also switched "Find My Friends" to "Allow Changes"
Once I did step 3, the switch under Settings > Privacy > Location Services was no longer greyed out and could be switched on.
    Hope this helps!

  • C6180 how to enable web services

    Hi
    c6180 w7 64 bit
Trying to set up HP eprint home&biz on ipad3
1.how do you enable web services
2.when trying to map network drive, computer can't find the "Folder" address i enter, taken from the eprint " saved files" display on the ipad
    Thanks

    Hello there again, hope you are doing well;
Let's start by Uninstalling any HP All-in-One software.
I will problaby do this in safe mode to ensure that no drivers or proccesses  are in use at the time that you are installing the printer.
On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ), click Control Panel , and then double-click Programs and Features .
Click the following HP software components, click Uninstall near the top of the window, and then click Next to uninstall the software.
    HP Deskjet/Photosmart/All-in-One software
    HP Imaging device functions
    HP Customer Participation program
    HP Solution Center
    HP Photosmart Essentials
I will prefer for you to use this Tool to reinstall the printer CLICK HERE.
Before continuing I will  suggest you to disable all security applications (including Windows firewall ) to eliminate the some component of the software being quarantine or block.  after disabling all security applications,
See if the problem is solved. if not continue.
Change the DNS server to Google's public DNS which is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the secondary or alternate DNS (second DNS server) does your printer have an static IP address.  If not let's set that as well, uninstall and reinstall the printer,  by the way this is the main support page for your printer if you need it for future reference GO HERE
Let's print a Network configuration page,
Press the Setup button ( ) on the front of the product.
Press the Down Arrow button ( ) to highlight Network , and then press OK .
Press the Down Arrow button ( ) to highlight Wireless Network Test , and then press OK .The Wireless Network Test Report prints.
On the test page, find the IP address.
    Example IP address on the network configuration page;
If the product IP address on the test page is 0.0.0.0 or 169.254. XXX. XXX , this means that the HP product is not connected to the network. Continue to the next step to set up the product on the wireless network.  If the product IP address on the test page is not 0.0.0.0 or 169.254. XXX. XXX (for example, 192.168.0.5), this means that the HP product is connected to the network. Review the steps in this document to check communication between the product and the computer.
The 169.254.xxx.xxx is use for APIPA  Automatic Private IP Addressing and is self assing if you have one of this you will need to disable IPv4 and enable it to see if there only a glick is that does not fix the problem if may be corruction on the stack of protocols you will have to uninstall and reinstall the protocols stack. Refer to the Operating system KB to see how you accomplish this.
Let's set the static IP first,
In the EWS screen, click the Network tab.
Click Wired (802.3) , and then click the IPv4 Configuration or the IPv6 Configuration tab.
Click Manual IP . The Manual IP Address box opens.
In the Manual IP Address box, type an IP address with the same values in the first three sets of digits (subnet values) as the product's IP address (listed on the Network Configuration Page), and a higher value (between 1 and 254) in the fourth set of digits. This creates a static IP address on the same subnet, but outside the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) range.
For example, if the product's original IP address is 192.168.0.1 , assign the static IP address to 192.168.0.200 .
Figure 5: Example of an IP address - DHCP values shown
Figure 6: Example of a static IP address with DHCP values modified
NOTE:Do not type the static IP address from the example. Enter a static IP address based on the IP address for your product.
Enter the Subnet Mask and the Default Gateway settings as they appear on the Network Configuration Page.
Now here should be able to set the DNS server to the google's Public ones, Please. Do so
Click OK to save the new settings, and then click Exit or close the browser to exit the EWS.
Let me know if this helps and will continue making my best effort to assist you until we get this working properly
    Hope this helps and regards;

  • How to migrate from exchange 2007 to 2013 step by step tutorials please

    Hi
I am running Windows Server 2008 standard, with exchange 2007 SP2 on it.
We have 800 mailbox in total
    Our domain controllers are
Win2012 R2 and I would like to upgrade to Exchange 2013 on Windows server 2012 R2.
I am running a VM, on VMware environment, so my Windows 2012 R2 is a VM.
Is there a website or document that explains in detail, step by step how to upgrade from 2007 to 2013.
I currently only have 1 exchange server 2007, with all the roles on the one server.  I would like to keep that same as
    well with exchange 2013.
    Thanks

Exchange server deployment assistant is always a good service provider to achieve this task as it simply ask few questions about your current environment and proceed further accordingly.
You can refer to this blog explained by technet team that will assist you further to gather more information in depth : http://blogs.technet.com/b/meamcs/archive/2013/07/25/part-1-step-by-step-exchange-2007-to-2013-migration.aspx
Moreover, to avoid the interruptions and proceed a hassle-free migration from exchange 2007 to 2013, this application (http://www.exchangemigrationtool.com/) could also be a good approach to accomplish
migration task in more secure way.

  • How to enable ping service on java-stack only system

I have installed SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java Trial on local host.
How can you activate the ping service there?
    It should work under "http://localhost:50000/sap/bc/ping"
(I know how to activate it with transaction SICF in an abap system, but I have java-stack only here, so I can't call transactions. I can only use the Visual Admin, right?, but there I could not detect a ping service so far)
    More detailed:
I created system "SAP_WebDynpro_XSS". (this is necessary for connecting to ECC abap backend for ESS Packages) and set following parameter:
    template:"SAP system using connection string"
         category: Web Application Server
              Web AS host name: chrisSAP:50000
              Web AS path: /webdynpro/dispatcher/
              Web AS protocol: http
But when I test the "SAP Web AS Connection" for this system, I got following error:
    7. The Web AS ping service http://chrisSAP:50000/sap/bc/ping was not pinged successfully. If the ping service is not activated on the Web AS, you can try to call the ping service manually.
    8. An HTTP/S connection to http://chrisSAP:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/ was not
obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall.
I guess step 8 did not pass because step 7 failed, and not because of a closed port or firewall (I made sure everything is open.)
The strange thing is that the connection test fails, but the connection seems to work fine!
I mean I can see the front ESS page in the portal when logging in with an ESS-user, and there are no errors in the log. If I change the SAP_WebDynpro_XSS parameters to some other made-up values, then the front ESS page does not come up and some errors appear with "SAP_WebDynpro_XSS" inside.
That proofs that the connection is working despite the failed connection test, right?. But what can I do that the connection test passes? It seems that somehow SAP has hardcoded the path "/sap/bc/ping" which usually exists on an abap system. But I have java-stack only, so how can I tell that the function that runs the test?
A system connection test fails, but the connection is working fine!
If someone could explain that to me...

    Dear Srini Nookala,
thank you for your answer. Unfortunately I don't understand the relation of my question to your answer.
    >> check with OSS note 1019335 SAP NetWeaver AS Java 6.40 SP21
I have Version 7.0 SP14. I read the OSS note, but there are around 100 changes listed. I read them all, but couldn't figure out one that has to do with ping and system test. So which sentence inside the note are you referring to?
    >> The problem is due to JCo parameters configuration not properly, Ask Basis team, they will do it.
I am basis team. I configured the JCo properly as described in manual and tested them afterwards. They run successful. Also all the links that you gave refer to JCO connections about how to set them up and test them. But what have JCO connections to do with System-connection tests? As far as I know JCO-connections are not used for system connectivity tests. You can set them up independent. I understand that JCO-connections are used for getting data from backend servers. But the system "SAP_WebDynpro_XSS" is defined for determing the webdynpros on localhost (frontend, not backend).
So please can you explain me what JCO-connections which refer to remote hosts have to do with a ping service on local host that cannot be reached? And which part would be not configured "properly"? Timeouts? user?
To define my question more properly:
Is it possible to make the connection test work on a java-stack only host for a system that refers to itself (localhost)? Or is it a known bug?
    Some sub-questions
Am I using the right system template (I am using "SAP system using dedicated application server")
I have no abap on local host (chrisSAP). Only java stack. Usually path ..sap/bc/ping refers to an abap system, right? So in my opinion I have 3 possibilities:
    - install abap-stack on local host (portal) and activate ping service.
    - somehow install a ping service that runs under the given URL in Visual Admin (how?)
    - somehow tell the connection test to skip pinging and continue test. (How?)
Any additional advice would be highly appreciated.

    Dear  EXCHANGE EXPERTS,
I am a newbie in "Exchange World" and I try hard to learn and figure out how Exchange messaging works.
Sometimes the searches for information are gratified with wonderful articles and blogs, but sometimes days of searches bring you nothing but tiredness.
I cannot find a clear information (step-by-step) how to exchange the certificates with the Partner company for TLS mutual communication in Exchange 2013.
I would appreciate the help of experts.
    Vi

    Hello
"You can do it on several ways. If both organizations are using publicly trusted certificate on Exchange servers, you are good to go. If that’s not the case you will have to cross-import Root CA certificates on both sides. Alternatively, you can also
issue certificates for SMTP for both Exchange organization from a single trusted RootCA. Anyway, the point is that each Exchange server must trust the certificate installed (and assigned to SMTP service) on another Exchange server"
    'Trusted Root Certification" -->yes /local computer/
if your company and partner company have a public cert and assigned to smtp service not need do
    anything with cert.
if not have public cert but have cert from own internal ca booth company, you need
cross-import Root CA certificates to exch servers and is ok. you send root ca caert to company and partner company send  his own root  certificate and that inport to local computer 'Trusted Root Certification"
    store on exch server.
if not have internal ca only self signed you need send self signed cert
