How sturdy is this thing?

I was wondering, how sturdy is this ibook? Mine is 3 months old and it seems so fragile to me. anyone have any ideas on how strong this thing is? the new dell laptop in the house seems 100 times sturdier than this 12" ibook.

it has a polycarbonate casing on it and if you haven't been aloud to play with that kind of stuff you need to get a sheet about 5mm in thickness and try to break it without other devices and try firing a gun at it (no high power rifles now) and it won't break i've seen it hold up to a .357, a .38, a .38 special, a .22 low power rifle, and shotguns from almost point blank (to allow the projectile a chance to not stay in the barrel). it will hold up now the stuff used by Apple isn't the same grade used to stop bullets but it will hold up to a good whack (don't try it unless you can hide any marks) or a decent drop but the only place of major concern is a corner or the connecting piece between the screen and the computing components.
P.S. i almost forgot it also can take a hit from a .44 and the .357, the .38, the .38 special, and the .44 are all S&W Magnums.

Windows PCs cannot directly read a Mac formatted HD (or iPod).
Macs can read and write to a Windows formatted HD if it is in FAT32. Macs with OS X10.3 and higher will read a Windows NTFS formatted HD, but no Macs can write to an NTFS HD. iPods only function when formatted in FAT32. iPods cannot function as a MP3 player if formatted in NTFS.

Netcfg v2 works - but I do not know how to do this things

Hello,
I just succesfully installed netcfg v2. I can connect to the wireless network using
netcfg2 home
But I do not know how to do the following thins:
It is mentioned in the wiki, but I do not get what exactly I have to do for this.
I have 2 configuration: Home and Uni
- Can the startup script detect which Networks are available and connect to the available one?
- When I connect to the "Uni" configuration, I need to start vpnc afterwards. Can I somehow automate this?

netcfg2 can do 'dumb' detection on boot. Set SCAN="on" in both profiles, and put the profiles in your rc.conf NETWORKS=() line.
It'll check if each network is available, then connect if it is.
There's also an autodetect script in the netcfg2 source, look in the contrib dir in the tarball or git.

All Office applications will also try to open a temporary work file in the same location as the source file. This implies the source file directory also needs to be writable for this temporary file. Since the default HFS+ driver provides only read-only access, such temporary files will fail to open, and will cause the application to fail.
As a test copy the file you want to edit, say an Excel spreadsheet from the OSX file system to the C: drive on the Windows side and try to open it. If you look in this directory, you should see two files, the source and a temporary file. You may have to force the temporary file to be opened on a read-write file system, by manipulating the folder for temporary files.

I recently changed my email address and want to change my Apple ID account to match. Please upgrade your plan to Web n Walk plus. One of our users on T-Mobile UK had this to report back to us:
