hi jafar
System not aumatically calculate percentage for tax for that you have to maintain condition record, in fv13 you can find % maintain.
for different condition, and combination , combination is depends upon what access sequence you choose for youre condition,
set off cond.we maintain for credit purpose if we utilise full credit then we maintain it 100%.
ex. for bed we use cond JMOP which maintai 8% and its set off cond. JMX1 we mantain 100%

  • How the Tax amount calculated in AR for this scenario (11i)

    Dear All,
I have some doubts with the Tax amount in the AR Trx. Please look into below scenario.
Step1: Create SO and AR Trx
    In OM side:
    1. I created a SO 001 and there is a item A only. The item's Unit Selling Price is *100$*, Quantity is *1*. Then the SO flown to AR.
    In AR side:
    1. AR Trx 001 is created for the SO and Tax rate is 17%. Hence the AR Trx Total Amount = Line Amount + Tax Amount = 100 + (100 0.17) = 117*.
Step2: The item has been return from customer.
    In OM Side:
    2. I added the same item with the Unit Selling Price *200$* and Quantity -1. Then the new SO line flown to AR.
    In AR side:
    2. Credit Memo is create for the return line of SO.
    My doubt is:
What's the tax amount for the Credit Memo? It is 200 * 0.17 or the original trx tax amount (100 * 0.17)?
    Thanks & Best Regards!
    Jerome

    Jerome,
The tax calculated on the Credit memo is always based on the Credit memo amount. So it will be on $200.
However there are few things you need to consider here. If you are creating a RMA in OM and if overapplication is not enabled for the AR Transaction type, the RMA will fail during Autoinvoice since you cannot credit more than the Invoice amount.
One thing I am not sure though is whether you can actually create a RMA with a price different than that of the Original Order.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks,
    Anil

  • Cannot disable the tax-only calculation in a AR Credit Notes document

    Hello,
When trying to raise a tax only credit the following error message appears "Cannot disable the tax-only calculation in a AR Credit Notes document that was based on another document"
I have two lines specified in the AR Credit Note screen both with a tick under the 'Tax only' column.
Would anyone be able to advise?
    Regards,
    Juan

    Hi,
Just to confirm you there is no option for this. If you have created the invoice(base document) for that then you cant change it in target document..
Other wise you can do one thing while copying it in target doc. just select customize option in copy from--> draw document wizard & select the right items you want.
    Regards.

  • How the tax amounts are linked to PO

    hi
i have created a tax code T1 with ED, Cess and 4% tax.
when i create a PO with tax code T1 the tax amounts are calculated correctly and brought in PO against a condition type Ztax.
Now i checked the procedure and ztax is included in the procedure but without any from condition number.
so i would like to know how the procedure gets the tax amounts in PO.
is there any separate settings which says that the taxes are to be got from the taxcode in PO.
    please reply
    Raja

    HI Srinivas,,
By condition number i mean the value that we give in the pricing procedure just next to condition type saying that the particular condition gets the base value from a condition type.
ex:  for discount condition we give like 10 which means the discount % base value is from PB00 . in this the line number for PB00 will be 10.
And we are not giving any records in MEK1 for tax since the value gets calculated in the taxcode for every transcation.
so im wondering whether we need to maintain any records or does any other settings links the value of the taxcode to the  procedure
    thanks

  • How the duty cycle is calculated by Timing and Measurement.vi

I am using the Timing and Measurement express vi(LabView8.0 is used) to measure the Duty cycle and frequency. I want to know how the same is calculated by the Timing and Measurement express vi. Please reply.

The Timing and Measurement Express VI uses \vi.lib\measure\mascope.llb\Pulse Measurements N chan.vi to do the Duty Cycle and Frequency measurements.
Help says the following about this VI:
Accepts a periodic waveform or an
array of periodic waveforms and returns the period,
pulse duration (pulse width), duty cycle (duty
factor), and pulse center of a selected pulse and period.
Refer to the Pulse and Transition Measurements VI in the labview\examples\measure\maxmpl.llb for an example of
using the Pulse Measurements VI.Maybe NI can explain the algorithm.
    Hope that this helps,

  • How the replication latency is calculated?

    Hi All
Currently we have some 3-peer replication setup(SQL 2012). Everything works fine, all tracers can be inserted and we have a total latency of less than 10 seconds. However, once in a while we can see Performance Critical in the replication monitor (up to
10 minutes latency). When we view the details we can't see any pending commands. This will fix itself randomly after some time (usually 30 mint or 2 hours). During all of this time everything just worked fine.
I am curious as to how the latency is calculated. Has anyone seen the same behavior and if it is save to ignore this.
    Cheers

    Hello,
Can you look at the sys.dm_exec_requests DMV when this latency issue occurs? Look at those records returned by the DMV
that are related to replication like records with the wait type (wait_type field) REPL_SCHEMA_ACCESS. Examine the wait_duration_ms field and check if the wait times shown on this column correlate what you see in the replication monitor.
Having more than one reader agent can increase latency.
    Hope this helps.

  • Config of Group assets - Tax Depreciation Calculation : India

    Dear Seniors,
can you please explain the configuration of the Group assets and how exactly the tax depreciation calculation in India happens for the individual assets with scheme of entries.
    Thanks and Regards
    Sathish

    Hi,
In India, depreciation on assets for the purpose of computation of net income as per the Income Tax (IT) Act 1961 is calculated over a block of assets instead of individual assets as allowed under the Companies Act 1956. Asset acquisitions and retirements are managed over the block level. The IT Act prescribes certain rates of depreciation to be used under the Written down Value (WDV) method over these asset blocks to compute depreciation.
The following are the customization settings that may be followed in the R/3 system in order to manage your assets in the income tax depreciation area.
    1. Copy the standard chart of depreciation 0IN as provided by SAP and create your own chart of depreciation.
    2. Use the depreciation area 15 for the purpose of management of assets under the IT Act. Make it statistical in nature. (Reference Transaction Code: OADB). Do not check the box negative net book value.
    3. Specify that the Income Tax depreciation area takes over the APC from the book but not make it identical (Reference Transaction Code: OABC).
    4. Create an asset class for the purpose of income tax blocks. This asset class will be used to create only group assets. (Reference Transaction Code:  OAOA)
    5. Specify that the depreciation area for income tax can be managed only for group assets. (Reference Transaction Code: OAYM). This would mean that depreciation for this depreciation area would be computed only at group asset level.
    6. Specify that the asset class defined in (b) above will be used for creating group assets only. (Reference Transaction Code: OAAX)
    7. Two period control methods (IT and NL) have been defined in the system for determination of start or the end of depreciation calculation at the time of a fixed asset acquisition or retirement. You may use these period control methods while creating the depreciation keys for the purpose of IT depreciation.
Calendar assignments have been made for the above mentioned period control methods in order to reflect valuation requirements as per the Income Tax Act (Transaction Code: OAVH). You may create your own period control methods depending on the fiscal year variant you use. The period control methods supplied are based on the fiscal year variant V3.
    8. Depreciation Keys: The following depreciation keys have been created in the system. They correspond to the income tax blocks that are prescribed under Indian tax laws. They are as below:
    Depreciation Keys:
    1. IN1 - Tax Depreciation - 5% -
I Hope it will give you some basic guidance.

    Krishna Kishore

  • Tax amount calculation

    Hi,
Can some one help me to explain how the tax amount is calculated.
I have a tax procedure assigned to my country. I created a input tax code.
Now i used this tax code while creating a PO i entered the tax code.
How the system determine the base amount for BASB condition type to calculate tax?? Will it take from the PO ??
    regards
    raghu ram
Edited by: Raghu Ram Thatavarthy on Jun 23, 2009 12:17 PM

    Hi
In the Tax codes, you would have attached the percentage to the account keys, which has the condition types attached to it. In the PO pricing procedure, the basis for calculation of the Tax would be available ie on what value tax needs to be calculated against the condition type. Account key can be seen against the Condition types. and from the tax codes percentages are taken and taxes derived.

  • When the asset is sold in the mid of the period, how the depreciation is ca

when the asset is sold in the mid of the period, how the depreciation is calculated as you can not run AFAB in the mid of the period.

Adding to the above reply, when the asset is sold in the mid period, during such sale process, based on the period control, depreciation till the date will be computed by the system and adjusted.

  • Tax not Calculated on Activity created through Service master

    Hi;
For different TAX values on Multiple line items in P.O, i am using Service Master to Create an Activity, and call that activity in my Service entry sheet.
Now When Service entry sheet (P.R) is adopted in P.O it doesn't calculate tax.
Any valuable information on this would be highly appreciated.
    Regards.

    Hi,
In the purchase order the taxes are calcuated at item level. In the
service entry sheet the taxes are calculated at service level.
The non-deductible input taxes both in the purchase order and on the
service entry sheet serve for the commitments structure and for
    information.
The tax actually paid with the invoice is later more precisely
redetermined by the invoice verification in the system.
You can set the Customizing alternatively that the
taxes are calculated at service level instead of at item level. This
setting is particularly useful if different services of an item are to
be taxed differently as it is the rule in countries with
jurisdiction-dependent taxes.  Please check your settings in transaction ML100.
In this connection, refer to Notes 498878, 495316 and 371595.
    Regards,

  • Accessing the tax value of a marketing document row before it is written to

I am creating sales invoices using the DI and I need to check the valu of the tax as calculated by the system so that I can compare it to the value supplied on the data provided and check for rounding errors.
My problem is that none of the fields in document lines that hold the value of tax e.g. priceaftervat, nettaxamount seem to be updated before the record is written. It looks like the value is calculated as the record is written.
Does anyone know if this is the case or am I missing something?
    Regards
    Gordon

Yes, this is the case. If you want to check it before adding, create invoice draft first, then with getbykey load it to document object, check the values you want and if is everything ok, create invoice from the draft.

  • How the System calculate GR/IR Prices in Material Ledger

    Dear All,
Please any body help me regarding: How the prices calculation happen during the  Goods Rereipt (GR) & Invoice Receipt (IR) prices in Material Ledger same period and next period. Exampls as follows,
If one material GR happened February, 2011 with Rs 100/-  and IR happened March, 2011 with Rs 110/-. This difference Rs 10/- how it will be effected in during the two periods.
What will be impact of both periods if runs Material execution at end of the month. For March, 2011 how the material prices calculated & what basis.
Plese help me with above example.
    Regards
    Bhaskar.

    Hi Bhaskar ,
At the time of GR .. in standard costing .. the accounting entries are
    Inventory   -
    Dr  100  ( Std Price)
    Price Diff         -
    Dr      10
    GR/IR -
    Cr 110 ( Invoice Price)
At the time of IR .. the entry is
    Gr/IR -
    Dr   110
    Vendor -
    Cr 110 .
Hence , the price difference is taken in accounting and in ML run in the month GR happens....................
Now , how ML run post the amounts in GL and account determination logic.. refer OSS Note : 908737 - Post Closing in Material Ledger

  • How is utilization index calculated?

    Hi there,
When I create a dashboard widget, I can select from top highest or top lowest utilization. I am curious how the utilization is calculated? Is it average over all metrics or is there some sampling?
    Thanks,
    -Nigel

In other words, if I take a 10 mpx file, a 16 mpx file, a 24 mpx file and a 40 mpx file; at 100% zoom they will all display 1,680 x 1,050 pixels of that file?
Exactly! Lightroom calls it 1:1 instead of 100% but that is a detail.
So when you are looking at a 10 MP file at 1:1 you see the equivalent of a crop from a 30x20" print, with 16 MP a crop from a 38*25" print, with 24MP, a crop from a 47x31" print and with a 40MP file, a crop from a 60x40" print.
I do these calculations more often as you might be able to tell ;-)

  • In E-Business Tax - In which table the tax codes are stored?

    Hi All,
I am new to Financials. I have a requirement in which I need to list all the TAX CODES pertaining to AP and AR. Kindly let me know in which table the tax codes are stored in E-Business Tax module. Also let me know how the tax is associated with the AP and AR modules. Is there any column in the table to identify whether the tax is for AP or AR?
    Regards,
    Ahmed.

    Hello Ahmed.
I was not aware that you were talking about R12. The information i gave you concerns 11.5.10.2. Anyway, i checked the ETRM's for R12 and checked that the tables also exist in rel 12. This is an excerpt from R12 ETRM:
    TABLE: AP.AP_TAX_CODES_ALL
    Object Details
    Object Name: AP_TAX_CODES_ALL
    Object Type: TABLE
    Owner: AP
    FND Design Data: SQLAP.AP_TAX_CODES_ALL
    Subobject Name:
    Status: VALID
AP_TAX_CODES_ALL contains information about the tax codes
you define. You need one row for each tax code you
want to use when entering invoices. When you enter
invoices, you can use a list of values to select a tax code
defined in this table. Your Oracle Payables
application also uses TAX_RATE to calculate use tax
when you enter a taxable amount for an invoice.
This table corresponds to the Tax Codes window.
Now you say that you cannot find the information into the tables. Are you working on a production instance. Are you sure that the taxes have already been defined?
