How to accept a certificat via a ChannelSet or a RemoteObject?

Hi,
I created a secure Channel, it works well if I accept the certificat of my server. However, I'm not able to accept this certificat when I use my flex application. I have to accept it by surfing on the direct URL with my browser and then I can do it.
Is there a function in Flex that can help me to accept the certificat in my flex application?
Thanks
Bat

Anye ideas?
I'm using a verisign certificat. If I run my flex application in the browser, I can easly accept the certificat via my browser. However, in mode AIR, the aplication is not able/allow to accept the certificat...
How could I solve this problem?
Thanks

Hello gracepoon,
one option would be that you use Contact Customer Care = http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html, by clicking through the headlines.
If none of the conditions is fulfilled, and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences. I quote from Preran: The chat button is activated as soon as there is an agent available to help.
This contact link is "brandnew", please give it a try: What are my contact options?

• How to accept alphabets with IP IVR script

Hi All,
I was wondering if it is possible to accept alphabet inputs via IP IVR script on Version 8.0.
If it is possible, pleaes help me with steps on how can this be achieved.
My basic requirement is that
- Caller calls IVR
- Enters first name of the person to whom caller wants to speak, this will be done via touch pad on the phone
- Call gets connected to the person
This is possible in Alcatel systems, but i am not sure about Cisco systems.
Any help would be great.

The compatibility guide lists all of the languages for which there are system prompts:
IVR PromptsArabic, Cantonese (Hong Kong), Chiese (Mandarin), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (AU, CA, GB, US), Finnsh, French (CA, FR), German, Hebrew (IL), Hunarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Mandarin (Taiwan), Norwgian, Polish, Portuguese (BR), Russian, Spanish (CO, ES, MX, US), Swedish, Thai, Turkish
Source:
https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf
I see that Polish support is there; however, what I don't see is the country specific support for it, as we see for example Spanish supports: Columbia.
With that said, I tried to just enter into the Trigger: pl instead of pl_PL and it still played English for me.
I'm trying to get my hands on a folder listing of the Prompts/system/ folder to see what the language folder is called.
EDIT:
I found the Prompts folder on the ISO image of UCCX 9.0, and the polish language folder is certainly: pl_PL.
Prompts\system\G711_ULAW\pl_PL\User Dialog\name_dial.wav
Not too mention the file does play in Polish as near as I can tell. I have attached it here. This looks like a defect. You will need to open a TAC case, which you should be able to do right from this post. Just look in the upper right corner for a link/button to open a support case.
Post back the resolution for everyone else my friend. Thanks for bringing this up.

• Webtop Client has to accept security certificate at each login

Hello again,
another issue we currently are facing is that users who are connecting via the webtop client (btw the NC works way better, in ways of printing perfomance and login speed) have to accept the security warning EVERY time:
"The Secure Global Desktop server you're connecting to is using an untrusted or unrecognized security certificate.
Accept the certificate only if you are sure there is no security risk. If you are unsure, click Don't Accept and contact an Administrator (you won't be able to log in)...." and then it says "you are connecting for the first time blabla"...
This only happens when connecting to the classic Tarantella subsystem only, not to the SGD.
Any hints?

JoergJoerg,
it'd be great to know which version of SSGD you're playing with.
I assume this is version 4.3x but assumptions do not always work :-)
If the above stands, the release notes for SSGD 4.31 say:
=== cut here === 8< ===
Protecting Clients Against Unauthorized Servers
As the SGD Client can now start and log in automatically, it is vital that users only
connect to a host that is trusted. In this release, users must explicitly authorize the
connection to SGD.
When a user connects to a SGD host for the first time, they see an Untrusted Initial
Connection warning message that asks them whether they really want to connect to
the host. The message displays the host name and fingerprint of the security
certificate for the server they are connecting to. Users should check these details
before clicking Yes. Once a user agrees to the connection, they are not prompted again
unless there is a problem.
To ensure that users only connect to SGD servers that are trusted, SGD
Administrators should do the following:
■ Provide users with a list of host names and fingerprints for the servers that are
trusted. Use the tarantella security fingerprint command on each
member of the array to obtain a list of fingerprints.
■ Explain to users the security implications of agreeing to connect to server.
In a fresh installation, each SGD host has its own self-signed security certificate.
Administrators should obtain and install a valid X.509 certificate for each SGD host.
Note If you are using the classic webtop, the Java technology client prompts users
every time it connects to a SGD server. The SGD Native Client never prompts users.
=== cut here === 8< ===
I think the above note is important.
For testing, using OpenSSL I manually created a local CA and signed a Certificate Signing Request generated by SSGD (tarantella security certrequest...); once I imported both the SSGD server and the CA certificates into the browser, everything worked fine.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Rob

• Dynamically Accept Client Certificates

Hello all,
I am writing a simple client/server app using TLS and I have a problem with the following:
Each client machine will be uniquely identified with a certificate generated at compilation of the program with keytool. Each client will also have a copy of the server's public key certificate. But the server will have to be informed of the client's public key each time a new client connects.
In a nutshell: is it possible for the client to send its public key certificate to the server via an unsecure connection (ie: not using SSL) and have the server "add" that certificate to its TrustManager dynamically? As of now, the only way I can get the server to trust more clients is importing the public keys into a keystore with "keytool -import" and restarting the server. This, of course, is not acceptable.
I know that if a server dynamically accepts each certificate its thrown at it its the same as not having the client authenticate itself but its a (stupid) requirement so I have no say in this.

It's an extremely stupid requirement and you should certainly have your say in this. Any time you spend on this is wasted time and wasted money on the part of the people who determined that it should be done. They should simply turn off needClientAuth at the server and be done with it, or bite the bullet and import the certificates properly.
Nothing in the way of client-authentication security would be provided by this nonsense, and you can tell them I said so. For a reference see http://www.telekinesis.com.au/wipv3_6/FundamentalNetworkingInJava.A21 - I wrote it.
As a professional, you should certainly stick your hand up and say so loudly and clearly.

• SM59, HTTPs: How to set up certificate based authentification

We have some HTTP connections configured using SM59.
These are all Type = G, Using HTTPs and Basic-Authentification.
Typically we are generating in Trx STRUST a new Client-PSE and upload the public-certificate of the partner there. After that, configurating SM59 is pretty much straigt forward.
But now, we have to configure certificate based authentification.
I did it pretty much the same:
Configured new entry in STRUST and uploaded the public key of the https-server there:
Now we have to send our client-cerficate to the web-server.
We thought, the "own certificate" showed in the STRUST will be the right:
all this worked fine, our partner accepted our certificates.
But when trying to establish a connection using SM59 nothing worked:
We had choosen "no authentification" because the other point just creates basic-auth.
When trying to connect to the server, we got an error:
So, is it possible to connect via SM59 to a server and using certificate-authentification? Or does SM59 not support that?
Thanks for your help,
cu
REne

Hi Rene,
You need to search through the ICM trace file (dev_icm) in order to find more detail about the ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR. There you should see what exactly went wrong during the SSL hand shake.

how can I add email (via outlook client) to share options of preview app

You can't. Apple's share button only supports Apple Mail (as specified by launching Apple Mail, choosing preferences and choosing general.). Maybe Apple will open this up to other apps in future updates.

• I want to shoot a movie on my iPhone and edit it on my iPad using the iMovie app. How can this be done via iTunes on my computer?

I want to shoot a movie on my iPhone and edit it on my iPad using the iMovie app. How can this be done via iTunes on my computer?

You can't drag video into the filesharing pane of iTunes, you can only transfer projects.
Videos need to come in via the photos tab of iTunes.
The easiest way to get videos from the iPhone to the iPad is via the project export import.
Projects can be exported from the iPhone, then imported to the iPad like this:
iPhone Send a project or trailer to iTunes
If the marquee screen isn’t showing, tap the My Projects button .
Scroll to center the project or trailer you want to share.
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, and then tap iTunes; tap OK when iMovie indicates that export is complete.
Connect your device to your computer, and then open iTunes on your computer. After a moment, your device appears in iTunes, below Devices on the left.
Select the device, and then click Apps at the top of the iTunes window.
Select iMovie in the Apps list below File Sharing. (You may need to scroll to see it.)
In the iMovie Documents pane, select the file you just shared, and then click the “Save to” button; save the file to your computer in a place where you can find it easily. You can also save the file by dragging it to the desired location on your computer.
Disconnect the device from your computer.
iPad Import a project or trailer from iTunes
Connect your device to your computer, and open iTunes on your computer. After a moment, your device appears in iTunes, below Devices on the left.
Select the device, and click Apps at the top of the iTunes window.
Select iMovie in the Apps list below File Sharing. (You may need to scroll to see it.)
Click Add below the iMovie Documents pane; in the window that appears, navigate to the file you want to add.
Select the file, and then click Open to copy the file to your device. The file appears in the iMovie Documents pane when copying is complete.
Open iMovie on your device; if the marquee screen isn’t showing, tap the My Projects button in the upper-left corner above the viewer.
Tap the Import button at the bottom of the screen, and then tap the name of the project you want to import. When the import is complete, the project opens and can be edited like any other project.

SAP uses a nifty little button called 'Object Services' on ME23N (top left) which you can use to attach documents to business objects.

• How to add a certificate to IIS global "Server Certificates" list using PowerShell?

Hi, been surfing the web for an example on how to add a certificate to the "global" IIS "Server Certificates" list using PowerShell but to no luck. I already have code in place on how to tie / associate a specific website with a specific cert but not how
to add the new .cer file using the "Complete Certificate Request..." wizard using PowerShell.... I dont expect the final code to become published but if someone had an idea on howto integrate / get an entry point on where to interact between the "Server Certificate"
list in IIS and POSH I would be super happy! :|
I am runnign IIS on a Windows 2008R2 x64 Standard Edition if that helps..... of course, I would saddle for an CLI if there is no other way, but POSH is of course the way to go! :)
Thanks for the help in advance guys, take care!

Hi and thanks for the suggestions!
Although it comes close, the suggested code example points on howto import / incorporate .pfx files - I am getting fed by .cer files which I need to add into the IIS console using POSH.
I tried explore the IIS.CertObj object but was not able to work out if this one could be used for importing / adding .cer files into IIS! However, launching the following command from a POSH console with Import-Module Webadministration already
loaded into that shell;
$certMgr = New-Object -ComObject IIS.CertObj returns the following error message:
New-Object : Cannot load COM type IIS.CertObj
