How To Access Variables In Process Model For Use In Main Sequence

Hi everyone, in my sequence file I callback the PreUUT sequence file. I want to be able to use one of the local variables I assign in this callback sequence in my main sequence. In my main sequence this variable will trigger if I should run some tests or not in my main sequence. Is this possible? How would I do this?

U need to make a parameter in your Callback, parameters are seen outside of sequences, then in PreUUT u will make statement to update parameter, or use the parameter in your callback directly
Parameters.MyPara=Locals.MyLoc
etc

How to declare variable in solution file for use in project files.

Hi Folks,
Apologies if this is not the right place to ask, but I would like to declare a variable in my solution file that can used by all of the projects (prof files) in that solution.
More specifically in the project files, references are stored using relative paths which cause issues if they don't exist. I would like to replace the relative paths with a variable set in the solution file that can easily be changed when the solution is
built in a different location.
So I would like to replace "../../../SomeProject" with "$(SomeLocation)/SomeProject" but set the $(SomeLocation) in the solution file.

And the Global Interface in the solution file is actually used for Visual Stuido add-ins. To know details, please read the following MSDN article:

It's about the solution interface.
As you can see although they may save something to your solution file, it is not intended for you to use it in your project.
What's your projec type and can you alter to use some common ways?
For example:
1. If it is in project level, set your value public so that all classes can access the value.
2. Or you can choose to create a xml/text file or any file that you can read by code, and then read the value out from that file.
It will be much better than thinking about set value in the solution file.

Business Process Modeling for Online Mobile Solutions

Hi,
I like to know what are the options available for business process modeling for online mobile applications? I feel Guided Procedure can be used for that but one issue is the standard GP Runtime view may not be suitable for Mobile displays and needs to be modified. Is there any other option available specifically for mobile solutions? Also I read in one article in SCN about a product call Mobile Fast Track (MFT) which is supposed to be delivered on Visual Composer. Is it already available? If yes which release and how to get that?
Any pointers on these will be highly appreciated.

The product line is the hierarchy of the finished goods.
It is pertinent that the finished goods has emerged due to some process(es) carried on the raw material.
Thus logically you should map in solution manager based on the process only.
The macro process while depicts the processes at the highest level.The Business scenarios, Business Process gives a good idea about how you should go about configuring.The Steps/activities helps you to map in to SAP thro' T/Codes.
From the point of view of all of the below three,namely,
Easy configuration activities
Easy design of Unit and integration test
Easy activities of Process enhancement and optimization,
the option Map the process as ISO Standards
- Several projects : For each product line,will be most ideal.
It is the processes that drives the activities.The control activities like internal control etc are all process based.Given these,divorcing the business process from the configuration -as in -is certainly not a good practice.

Error HRPAY99PM271 in Process Model for Offcycle (6.0 Upgrade Issue)

We have a process model for offcycle payments and need to change RPCIPE00 to RPCIPE00_OLD. The first problem we had with this was solved by OSS note 1070580. Now we are getting error HRPAY99PM271 (Parameter PNPPERID was not found in the selection parameters). PNPPERID was not used in the 5.0 version of the process model, so I do not know why we are getting this error. Thanks for any advice/ideas!

1. Add parameters to your mapping using the MAPPING INPUT PARAMETER from the pallette.
2. Add parameters to the START operator in the process flow. Bind the process flow parameter to the Mapping parameter.
3. May be appropriate to use CONSTANTS instead of parameters.

That's the same question:
how can I access something (a page item) on a page…
Answer: you need something unique in that object you can get a handle on.
Or you use the selection a user of your script is doing and work with that selection…
A "scrollable frame" is nothing special. What it makes it a "scrollable frame" is the DPS software.
So you have to look for attached labels on the object, that identify the object for the PDS plug-in "Overlay Creator" as a "scrollable frame". That's possible with the "extractLabel("KeyString")" function. But you need to know the appropriate key-string in advance.
In another of your thread in the DPS forum, I basically answered the question how to obtain those key-strings.
When knowing the key-string you could loop through all your page items (you can skip all text frames) in the allPageItems-collection, to identify the "scrollable frame" by extracting the right label.
If you have more than one "scollable frames" you need a second unique identifier for the particular object.
That could be nearly any property.
Keep in mind, there is no "scrollableFrames" collection in the DOM !

I am developing custom tags in my application. I need to pass some variables from the .jsp file into tag file. I want these to be passed as body of the tag rather than as tag parameter. It seems the correct syntax for this is:
<myTags:display> someVariable </myTags:display>
Question 1: Can I not use this as: <myTags:display someVariable /> Since this tag will be used at many places in the jsp, I dont want to write myTags:display twice for every usage.
Question 2:
I want to call the tags from main.jsp like:

<myTags:display var="<%=someVariable>"/> is a valid syntax for performing respective action of that variable. You can also use EL to pass the variable ${someVariable} provided the custom tag provide support for EL.

Best way to modify Sequential Process Model for report generation.

I am using the Sequential Process Model in my application and the TestStand Reference Manual, (Figure A-1), clearly shows the following processing sequence:

Call the Test Sequence
Display the UUT results
Generate a Report
Log Result to a Database

I want to generate the report BEFORE displaying the results to the operator, or at a minimum, I want to generate the report in parallel with displaying the results to the operator. Currently, the problem I have is that when the test is done I have some automated scripts that take the data file and do some statistical processing on it, but the way the Sequential Process Model is set up, the test might finish but until the operator acknowledges the PASS/FAIL results display, the resulting file is never created. It could be overnight, over the weekend, or several days before an operator comes back and says, "Oh that last test finished, I guess I can press the OK button!", but until they do, I get no data. So I want the report generated no matter what, and right after the test finishes.
Any ideas as to how that might be best accomplished?

Is that new in 4.2 that the engine won't call a callback with nothing in it? I just did it and it seemed to work fine. I'm using 4.1.1 though.

Maybe there is a better solution for what you want. Are you using the SequentialModel? What version of TS do you use? Why does the report have to be written before the pass/fail banner displays? The pass/fail banner gets displayed in the PostUUT callback. Like Ray said if you just put that in your client sequence you won't see the banners. However, I'm assuming there is more to this than just that. I'm assuming you want to see the report because of your external analyzer that is gathering the statistical data. And then based on that data you want to allow the user other options. Is this correct?
If so then I would override the PostUUT callback and then use a different callback (possible the ProcessCleanup callback) to displaly the banners. You could even do this without modifying the process model (which I always try to avoid). Just override both the PostUUT and ProcessCleanup callbacks. And then put code in the ProcessCleanup to behave like you need.
Or if you want you can modify the process model and create a new callback lower in the process model. Then have that new one do the post report analysis.
Just some thoughts.

Wondering if some one could shed some light on the process of getting values in PR. The situation is that i have linked two pages and both have dateFrom and dateTo fields, the values of the fields are being copied across to the other page automatically. I would like to understand how.
And the other is How is, how to access those values in Process Request. I want to use those dates as criteria for populating data when the user first opens the page.
Any insight would be highly appreciated

If you have linked the pages, you would know how the values from one page is being transferred to the other page, this cannot happen automatically, you either must have 1. Passed them through URL
2. Passed them through Session
3. Have the same VO in both the pages and retaining the AM from P1 to P2.
4. Requering the DB in P2 after saving the values in P1
There could be number of ways you have done it.
And the other is How is, how to access those values in Process Request. I want to use those dates as criteria for populating data when the user first opens the page.
Depending on how you passed the values from P1 to P2, the method of getting these values in P2 PFR would vary, but in most cases pageContext.getParameter("paramname") should workThanks

If they are global variables then you can access them using Global assign technique,
For example,
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_value> TYPE ANY.
ASSIGN ('(SAPMV45A)XVBAK') TO <fs_value>.
It is basically,
ASSIGN ('(<Std. Program Name>)<Variable name>') TO <field symbol>.
NOTE: To make sure they are accessible in your user exit, just put a break-point in the user exit and once you are there in debugging, type in,
(<Std. Program Name>)<Variable name> in the Field names section and if it does not show it in RED then it is accessible..

suppose i have a file temp.java file ..& i know all the public variables. and
i want to access the variable of those temp.class file which extends JApplet or Applet..
and as u know it will declare public void init() .. & in this function only all declaration will be there.
so now how to invoke this init() function from any mymethod()..to access public variables...

Lets say you have a public property in your application like

now iam able to access only the methods defined in the class but not the variables. i have defined connection properties in class file.
in jsp i need to use
