Unfortunately, unless you know the Apple ID, there is absolutely nothing that can be done, you cannot use or even sell your mobile device.

When I try to update apps on my iPad, it asks me for my mothers password and displays her apple ID. How do I change it to ask for my apple id and password??? I am signed into the store and iCloud with my apple id. I am not signed into ITunes, the store on the ipad, or icloud under her name. WIERD???
There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. It shows up on my phone, and now I cannot update any of my apps. I uninstalled that app on my phone, but when I want to update ones I have installed on my phone with my appleid, she keeps showing up.

If you're refering to your uphone number thats set up to be used with imessage on your ipad, then that is associated with your apple id and has to be changed there first.

Then on your ipad, sign out of messages. Go to settings/messages/tap on send and receive/tap on apple id/sign out
Then sign out of messages on phone and then back in.
Then sign into messages on ipad again, number should appear

My Apple ID and password works for iTunes and App Store. I'm trying to set up iCloud on my iPhone and iPad but i keep getting an error message that reads unsupported ID. Apple ID must be in the form of email address (@me.com). I don't have a MobileMe account. How can I get iCloud to accept my working Apple ID and password?
I've also reset my password to my Apple ID. I still get the Unsupported ID and password.

Hi all,
I bought my parents an ipad2 so that I can use facetime with them. they are computer illiterate, but they do know how to turn the computer on! It is becoming very frustrating that their ipad does not automatically hold their ID and password. When trying to get onto facetime, the ipad always asks them which id and email address do they want to use.
Initially trying to set up their account I ended up using 2 email addresses. how do I remove one of those addresses from ipad?
Help please because I can see their ipad will be damaged soon due to complete frustration.
Andy998If your company purchased it directly from Apple and if your order shows the serial number, Apple may be able to unlock it for you. I work for a school district and I know that Apple will do this for us if we have proof of purchase.

Delete your mail account and create a new one.

No. Without the Apple ID and password, the phone is forever useless. There is no way around that. This is an anti-theft security feature - Acivation Lock. If it could be circumvented, it would be useless.
The article i previously posted explains how to find your Apple ID and password. The fact that you found it useless suggests that this iPhone is not yours.
