How to activate WebI Report Server logs? How does it work?

Hi,
Go to CCM,select the Webi inteligence report server and in the property of the service add -trace at in the last.
to activate the ConnectionServer traces:
...\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\cs.cfg
And change the line <Traces Active="No"> to <Traces Active="Yes">

Iâm facing a problem in calling reports from forms 10g.
I donât know whether my report server is started or not but then checked by this line of code in a web browser. It give me an error:

Good to see response so quick.
In fact two session were open at the time one is Forum Forms n other Forum reports, by mistake I posted this on forms forum.
Anyway, I solved the problem. The actual problem was I made some changes in <server name>.conf file. I uncommented the engine tags properties. I was having backup of it I copied again. Now itâs working fine.

you can use the standard web based application called OpenDocument. You can find the details as part of the documentation for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise available on help.sap.com
Each report can be opened using simply the browser URL - which you can integrate into NWBC.

First you need a Developer Key to create or activate ABAP Reports. If you dont have any, Please ask your BASIS team. They can generate one for you.
When you done with the report hit 'Activate button' ( A Candle icon on top).

I do not think that you can get this value from anywhere. A solution is to put the Reports server name in an environment variable stored in the /forms/server/default.env file, then to query it at Forms runtime with the TOOL_ENV.Getvar() built-in.

we have comments column in our report . for each we have added one blank cell to give the comments purpose .
But Multiple Users are trying to edit the report same time so who ever saved the report those comments only available .
To avoid multiple users to edit the same report we want to implement the report locking mechanism similar to Universe Locking mechanism in Designer .

This in not accurate.
The time stamp shows the time the message was sent when the bubble it pulled left, not confirmation of delivery.
The request is for a "Delivery Receipt" which is a separate message from the recipients phone back to the source phone and indicates successful delivery at the recipients end. This feature is not available on the iPhone 5s. The feature is NOT part of iMessage. It's part of the cell providers text messages systems.
For the record, the October 2014 iPhone 5s manual does not speak about this in any way. The word "Delivery" appears one time in that manual and has to do with email, not texting. The industry standard term for this is "Delivery Receipt". This is not a "Read Receipt".
I tested the *0# thing I've read about. Doesn't work on Verizon iPhone 5s.

I am trying to create a web page, that displays a report from my company's report server. I manage to import the ReportExecutionServiceService, but can't figure out how to get the report. anyone know where i can find good documentation of SSRS's WSDL (not on MSDN it didn't do much good)? or better does anyone know what steps are needed (what fields to use / initialize etc.)?

First you create a report using the data source in Crystal Reports DesignerStand Alone Application and then save it to repository.
This is the easiest way to do it.
You can refer to Crystal Reports User guide and also BOXI Admin guide for the version you are using.

Adaptive Processing Server vs WEBI reporting server

I'm planning for production configuration, I want to know when I perform following actions, which server is used? webi or Adaptiive Processing...
1. User refreshes a webi report (webi?)
2. Schedule a webi report (webi and Adaptive Processing? )
I will clone existing webi reporting servers, should I clone Adaptive processing servers also? AP has so many services running in it, I really don't need all of them. I just want to know which services are critical to report refreshing and scheduling. If a schedule a large report (5 million rows for instance); which server should I beef up? webi ? or AP? If I add one more AP server, will BO knows how to take advantage of it?

Is the Adaptive Processing server used for Scheduling Webi reports?

My reports are failing sometimes with error: Exception raised:
com.businessobjects.sdk.core.CoreException
When i check for the SAP Note 1679045, however there solution refers only to the Webi Processing servers and not APS.
So not sure if it is applicable to APS as well.

Problem:

How can I distingwish among these conditions:
IF Report cannot run :
when the problem is from the report file object itself.
and IF the problem is the Report Server is Down.
and the report file is not exist.
Tries:
I try to but many exception to differenciate between these conditions but I fail
how can I display a message to the user,Inform him the problem ,
So the support personnel know if the problem from the Report object or the application Server

How to Refer WebI Report in SAP Portal

Hi Experts,
I want to show one of the report created in Web Intelligence rich client in SAP portal. I have done the SSO part and imported the par files and changed the configuration in web.xml as per the documentation.
Now ! I have developed the report and it is available in my local machine in UserDocs folder. How can i refer this report in SAP portal now. What r the parameters i should provide ?
I have created the BO Iview in portal by selecting the BO Iview template, but couldn't understand what parameters to provide and how to refer my report which is there in my local machine.

First step : transporting "par" files and epa files into portal.
imported   "com.businessobjects.pct.sap_pik.epa" file in portal
         deployed "com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par" in portal

Second step Created System Object and its parameters:

How to save webi report created using InfoView into my local PC

I am creating a Web Intelligence document using infoview and once the report is ready, i want to save it in my local PC for later refresh. How can i save that using Infoview ? I don't want to save the report in the server(repository).

After saving WebI reports to Local PC also, one can't see them COZ of .wid extension, to view them again we need WebI installed.
You can Save them to Excel or PDF or CSV to your local PC and Schedule them to get latest data as well.

WebI Report Server crashes in linux while runnning report

When we try to run a report in Web Intelligence it gives a following error and at the same time the Web Intelligence Report Server crashes in a new installation. u201CYour Web Intelligence session has timed out. Log out and log in again to InfoView. (Error: WIJ 77778)u201D We restarted web intelligence server and tried to run the report again but the result was same We also created new Web Intelligence server but it also crashed then we installed fixpack2.4 by referring to the forum topic http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=64343 We tried reinstalling the linux, BOXIR2 with SP2+ Fixpack 2.4 and iODBC Connector and My SQL Connector but result is the same. We have installed BOXIR2 with SP2 + fixpack 2.4 on Linux ES4 We have iODBC Connector 3.52.6 and My SQL connector 3.51.23 BO reporsitory is running on My SQL 4.1.3 report data source is on My SQL 5.0.45

How to integrate Crystal Report Server and J2EE platform

It's my first time using Crystal Report, so I don't know exactly how I should start...
As what i've searched around, there is a method of generating crystal report from a JSP file. By this way, everything will be handled within the application server.
But in my project, we intend to leave the part of handling and generating report to another server, i.e. there will be 2 servers: application & report. Anyone experienced with this can guide me through? By splitting into 2 servers, that means I will need to have the Crystal Report Server right? And if doing so, from the application, how do I call the Crystal Report server?

You can use [Crystal Reports for Eclipse|Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0 Release Update 8 is Now Available!; to do exactly this. It comes with an example application for displaying reports using the CR Web Report Viewer. It's EXTREMELY easy to use and even to integrate in your existing web app. If you're using Eclipse and have the CR4E plugin installed, you can go to File > New > Crystal Reports and select Crystal Reports Web Project. This will create the CR server application for you. You can also right click on an existing web app and have Crystal Reports integrated directly into your existing app.
To do this, just right click on your web app and go to Project Properties. Then, go to Project Facets, check the box next to Crystal Reports, click Apply and then OK. It will copy all of the necessary runtimes into your lib folder and will even update your web.xml to include the stuff needed for CR. On the left, you should see Crystal Reports File Versions. Click on that and you should see the version of Crystal that was just installed into your web app along with all of the files that were copied or modified.
You could probably then create a report viewer in your other app (maybe an iframe?) that includes a link to the report in the CR Web App.
If you need more assistance with this, let me know. I'd be glad to help out as I've already played with something similar to this.
