How to add a javabean Model to a web dynpro Project
Hi all,
I have been following the tutorial "Using EJBs in Web Dynpro Applications" for creating a customized LOCAL webdynpro application, based in javabean Model. It was made by just exporting the JAR file from a java project, as it is explained in the tutorial. OK.
The problem comes when I want to duplicate the development but using a DC Web Dynpro Project. I have re-develop every step of the tutorial but using DC projects:
DC diccionary project, DC ejb project, DC enterprise application project & DC java project.
But now I DO NOT KNOW the steps for importing the development into a model for DC Web Dynpro.
Anyhelp will be very appreciated, thanks in advance-

Yes, you are right. I had already followed those steps. The error comes when I have to select between the JavaBean Source:
1. project (source folder) (checkbox)
2. public parts of used DC's (combobox)
I have been trying both, the second one by copying first the JAR called CommandBean.jar of my DC Java Project with dependencies to EJB project into the web dynpro "lib" folder, and then selecting the new entry CommandBean.jar from that combobox.
then i get de following error: "Invalid JAR - No JavaBeans available for import"
So I do not know how to use any of these two options for java source.

Hi,
How can I add new class to an existing DC (Web Dynpro project)?
I tried adding it using File - New - Other - Java - Class, but after a build of the DC the new class (and its contents ) was completely removed.
Then I created a new DC (java project) and created a new class in that DC. This went fine, but I got into problems because of circular referencing between the new & the old DC, so no build was possible.
This can't be difficult, does somebody knows how to do it?
My temporary solution is to add the classdefinition to an exisiting .java file. Very ugly.

where did you create the class? If the *.java file is placed in the src/packages folder it should not be deleted by a build. (I suspect you created it in the gen_wdp folder?)

Create adaptive web service model for a web dynpro project
I have been trying to create a new new adaptive web service model for a web dynpro project.I am using the URL of the wsdl file to create the model. I have copied the url link of the wsdl from the overview tab of the web services navigator. The web service works fine when tested through the Netweaver Navigator. This web service has also been used successfully through the Visual Composer. But when I try to create a model for this web service URL, when I click the Next button after entering the URL in the model creation wizard step 4 , I get "Error loading wsdl file. Check error log for details" Given below is the exception recorded in the error log: (Infact, I get this for all wsdl URLs)

I was able to successfully import the model after I did the following
1. Re intsall Studion (same version , same build)
2. Reset the proxy settings to not use Proxy server

is it possible to use UI Command Groups or UI Commands in web dynpro menu?
I have a Menu with MenuActionItems in my web dynpro app. I'd like to use finished configured UI Commands from the portal like new -> new folder...
I don't know how to bind the UINewFolderCommand to my MenuActionItem, and I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

Have you saved that VC element as template and using that template in another component?.If so,on resuing that VC element template it populates all the screen elements which you've save as template.
Now, select that VC element which you've re-used,based on you're requirement add/remove UI elements as Kiran suggested.

In my Web Dynpro project I have imported a JavaBean model (including relations and
the associated helper classes). Now, I want to create a new JavaBean model in the same project and also use some of the model classes from the previous model to define the
relations belonging to the new model. I tried importing the new JavaBean model with the
same helper classes, but that is some how not possible (Error :"Model class already exists") . On the other hand, if I do not include the helper classes, the previously imported
model class are not available in the new model - so how do I define the relations?

This is a limitation of WebDynpro JavaBean model wizard -- you may not use same JavaBean more then in one model.
The only possible but unsupported workaround is to create your *.wdmodel file manually using text/xml editor, then reload project and get new model. It's better to start with new model without same beans, then copy necessary lines from "old" model.

You can add the existing zip file into your workspace by the following way -
First open the NWDS and create a new project by clicking file -> new -> Project -> Simple -> Project
and then File -> Import -> zipfile and then browse the zip file into the newly created project.
or else you can also unzip the zip file into a folder and then Use the option of Import an exisitng project into workspace. You can find this in the File-> import -> Existing project into workspace. and then use the Browse option to browse to the existing folder.
After importing the project you need to rebuild the project

I am a beginner of Web Dynpro. I want to develop my simple project like these:
1. Create my own database table via Dictionary Project such as TAB_USER and have 3 fields: USER_ID, USER_NAME, USER_POSITION and I have already deployed & archived it.
2. Create my own Web Dynpro Project, and create the input fields as User ID, User name, User position and icon 'Save' on the selection screen and I have deployed it already.
For the process, I want to input data at the screen and save the data in the table, please give me the guide line like these:

You can write your own connection class for establishing the connection with DB.
Ex:
public class ConnectionClass {

You can place the above class file in src folder and you can use this class in webdynpro.
You can have another UserInfo class for reading and writing the data into the DB .

A null value is being passed at runtime. Make sure that you enter values when filling in the form.
Also check for the cardinality of the nodes being used. You can also initiliaze your value attributes as follows:
In wdDoInit() method:

steps to follow :
->Have the data in internal table (itab).
->Now use sort command for the particular column which ever you want to sort.
e.g sort itab descending by <Column>.
->Now you can bind the internal table with the Context Node which is binded to Table.

Deploy of VC model compiled in Web Dynpro fails
We are trying to deploy a model compiled in Web Dynpro and are getting the following error message. We are developing on EP 7.0 SP 14.
Web Dynpro Compiler: Portal Request failed (WD deployment failed. Consult log file for details)
Compiling the model always works. The error only shows when trying to deploy. Also, this error disappears once we restart the system, but after a time it reappears. Any ideas as to what might be happening?Hi Andrew,
Don't work with WD runtime. It doesn't support all the features you have in VC. Flex is best supported.

I am very new to OA Framework. Can you experts give me some guidance on how to proceed with the following customization?
My requirement is in iprocurement when you open a new cart and check out on "ICX_POR_SHOPPING_CART" there is a Project Field and reference to Charge account. If the users go to charge account (ICX_POR_CHECKOUT_SUMMARY) and enter the segment values ( which includes project segment) and enters a value in project segment other than '000000' with out entering the Project Field on "ICX_POR_SHOPPING_CART" the page should give error.
Please give me some suggestions on how to proceed.

What type of methods it will be generated and what are the code we entered in those methods.

Krishna.If you want to add extra standard fields (like one you mentioned), you can use Component Workbench and Copy the configuration and create your own configuration and make the "Available Fields" appear there.
If the standrd field is not available, you can Add Context Node using wizard and make it visible.
If its a custom field (a new one); you will have to use EEWB and add the fields and then make it visible in the UI using Component Workbench.

Adding normal DRAM and target specific FIFO's and host-target FIFO's is easy, but the special DRAM implemented as a giant FIFO I could not find how to add. And I have searched the documentation - but obviously missed the key point. I use labVIEW 2013. Any hints are appreciated.
