How to add log details for marketing attributes

Hi,
when user is changing marketing attributes in bp transaction we need to show the log details in log file.how to capture the change log details in to log file ? is there any way to show change log files.

Hi,
You can view the change log using the report program:CRM_MKT_TOOLS or T-cd:CRMD_MKT_TOOLS. Choose 'History of attribute Evaluation for Business Partners'.
You can manipulate this report and get the necessary log.
This BADI CACL_VAL_CHANGE will be called after any change to the marketing attribute.
Here you can capture the log to your custom table / you can log the data to a file.

    We have a requirement to create Marketing Attributes for Business partners. In our current roll-in the number of records are expected to be about 1000000 records. (1 Million). For the pilot roll-in we had about 300000 records and we wrote a custom program and used the FM CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB to update the records. Now that the data quantity is almost tripled, is there any different approach to load this?
    We are now going to upgrade to CRM 7.0.
    In the prev version the standard IDOC that we use to load BP does not contain any segment structure for Marketing attributes. Hence we would like to know how to approach such a huge volume? If it is through IDOCS we felt we can go for parallel processing, but I have not done it before. so my questions are:
    1.Is there a standard IDOC in 7.0 version to load Marketing Attributes?
    2.If yes, does parallel processing improve the performance of the data load?
    3.If there is no standard IDOC then what will be the best approach for this data volume?
    4.Should we still continue to use CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB?

    When I am creating a survey as part of a script, there is a tab "parameters" where I define, which survey to use.
    I do not find parameter tab for marketing attributes in script construcion screen (SE80 - CRM_IC_ISE).
    So how do I define which attribute to use?

    The Marketing Attributes are there in the answers.
    In the repository try using
    Answers >> Dynamic Answers >> Default >> Marketing Attribute
    When you use this in the script (Question), you will see one of the Tabs below called 'Dynamic Content Parameters', here you can specify the details.

    HOW TO: Add /manipulate columns for a GridControl when the columns (attributes) are from different entity objects.
    This HOWTO describes the basic steps of using attributes from different entity objects for a GridControl.
    One way you can create a GridControl which contain attributes from different entity objects is to create a view object and base it on the entity objects which contain
    the desired attributes.
    Here are the basic steps:
    1.Create a new view object (or use an existing view object) by selecting File>New from the menu, clicking the Business Components tab and double-clicking
    on the View Object icon.
    2.In the View Object wizard change the name to something meaningful.
    3.Select the entity objects you will base your view object on.
    4.Nivigate to the attribute screen and select the attributes you would like to include in your view object from each entity object. At this point you can also create
    a new attribute by clicking the "New" button. The new attribute can be a concatenation of other attributes, derived from a calculation etc.
    5.In the query panel of the View Object wizard, click "Expert mode" and enter a query statement. You write complex queries such as decoding a set of attribute
    values.
    6.Add your newly to your newly created view object to the application module by double-clicking on the application module in the navigation pane and selecting
    your view object from the list.
    7.Create a new row set.
    8.Bind row set to a query by editing their queryinfo property and selecting your view object and its attributes from the queryInfo pane.
    9.Create a GridControl and bind it to the row set by editing the dataItemName property of the GridControl. Since the GridControl is bound at the row set level
    all of the related attributes are automatically added.

    Are you intending this as a commercial solution or a work around?
    To take an existing equivalent, one would build a view in the database tailored for each grid in an Oracle Forms application. Or a separate query layered over tables for each form/grid in a Delphi or Access application? Even if it is ninety nine percent the same over half a dozen forms/grids?
    And now you've added a whole slew of "slightly different" rowSetInfos to maintain.
    So if you wanted to add a column that needs to appear everywhere... you've just increased the workload multi-fold?
    That would be a management nightmare, wouldn't it? Not to mention yet more performance cost and a slower system?
    Hmmmm..... I'm not sure I like where this is headed... someone needs to do some convincing...

  • Add Suppporting Details for more than one periods at the same time for the same Account in Planning.

    As we know, in planning form, we can add supporting details to one cell for the level 0 members intersections.
    But can we do that as below:
    add supporting details for more than one cells at the same time?
    I tried to do that in workspace and smartview, neither is working.(my workspace version 11.1.2.2.300.20)
    I wonder if i am not with the right version, because i don't know how to get the below.

    I have tried in Smartview for a simple form where my period dimension was in columns and accounts in rows.
    You need to select multiple period and select supporting details, it will show those selected period for which you can add the supporting details.
    You can add these details and then submit the data in the form.

    I have solved a similar problem raised by you ( i guess ) in one of the oss message. If you maintain the Xpath of the attribute that you have created for BP marketing attribute as /CURRENTCUSTOMER/BuilMktAttributeRel/VALUE it should work. Could you please tell me what settings you have made for displaying this?

    To combine all the answers above and have a topic-based reply please go through the below steps:
    #1. Inactivate the current extension field Company (I see it is actually a String value and this is not what you want to have)
    #2. Go to Setup -> System Setup -> Extension Reference Types
    Check if you already have a Company reference type
    If not, create a new Extension Reference Type for Class Company. Fill in all required information.
    #3. Create a new Extension Attribute
    Select Data Type: Object Reference
    Now you can add the Company type as reference

    Padma. My understanding is that logging is the same way in Web Dynpro as in a normal J2EE app.

    I haven't personally used SAP's logging because we ported our apps from WebSphere and we were already using log4j. We evaluated SAP's logging and didn't find that the work involved to switch or bridge log4j to SAP's logging was worth it.

    The static attribute INFOTYPE_FRAMEWORK_IS_ACTIVE is read-only and there is not SETTER method to manipulate its value.
    However, the attribute is filled in the CLASS_CONSTRUCTOR:
    METHOD class_constructor.

           mngmt_global_empls_is_active = true.
          infotype_framework_is_active = true.
          perid_infotype_is_active     = true.

    Thus, you need to analyze how attribute CE_IS_ACTIVE, GLOBAL_PAYROLL_IS_ACTIVE and MNGMT_GLOBAL_EMPLS_IS_ACTIVE are filled in the CLASS_CONSTRUCTOR.
    For sure you will find customizing settings that are responsible for this.

    If that field which you wants to add is available in one of the structures like EKKO,EKPO then you can add that field just beside the other fields
    If that field is not there in the any of the structures then you can define a variable using define command
    /: DEFINE  &VAR&
    / &VAR&  = <some value>
    or you can write subroutines to fetch the data from outside tables and can use those fields data in the script

    I am working on Cloud for Customer Implementation with integration using Netweaver PI. SAP has just upgraded the CfC to 1405 version. In the latest integration guide & scenarios, there is provision to integrate marketing attributes & attribute sets as well.
    I am following the latest integration guide (1405 version) but could not find any provision or template report for initial load of marketing attributes. Can anyone please assist in the initial load for marketing attributes?
