ihave installed firefox5 recently and found that my previous add-on/extension like speedbit videodownload is not in the tools as it is not competible with this types of firefox

You can try this extension to override compatibility issues,

Once it's installed, you can re-enable the addons that got disabled after the Firefox upgrade.

How to add a download link in a report directed by a navigation link?

I have searched the net but could not find the solution.
I added a link in a dashboard page. The link is connected to a request. When the link is clicked, the page goes to a report, which is not placed in a section region.
Now, how to configure the report so that a download link is displayed right under the navigated report?
I know that if a report is placed under a section in a dashboard design page, use the "Request Link..." to add the download link. But such a "Request Link..." feature is not available for a navigate-link directed report.

I haven't seen this done, but it may be possible. As a workaround why not create a new hidden dashboard page and put your request on that page with the appropriate 'Download' report link?

we can create Transaction Variants Using SHD0 Transaction.
Transaction Variants and Screen Variants
Transaction variants can simplify transaction runs as they allow you to:
Preassign values to fields
Hide and change the 'ready for input' status of fields
Hide and change table control column attributes
Hide menu functions
Hide entire screens
In particular, hiding fields in connection with screen compression, and hiding screens, can result in greater clarity and simplicity.
Transaction variants are made up of a sequence of screen variants. The field values and field attributes for the individual screens found in transaction variants are stored in screen variants. Each of these variants is assigned to a specific transaction, can, however, also contain values for screens in other transactions if this is required by transaction flow. The transaction that the variant is assigned to serves as initial transaction when the variant is called.
There are both client-specific and cross-client transaction variants. All screen variants are cross-client, but may be assigned to a client-specific transaction variant.
A namespace exists for cross-client transaction variants and screen variants and both are automatically attached to the Transport Organizer. Client-specific transaction variants must be transported manually.
In principle, transaction and screen variants can be created for all dialog and reporting transactions. There are, however, certain Restrictions that apply to certain transactions, depending on their internal structure.
No transaction variants are possible with transactions already containing preset parameters (parameter transactions and variant transactions).

Im generating ALV output through the method "SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY".But in the output,I cant see a direct excel download button,just like how it used to come when we use FM "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY". Here, the excel download option comes as part of a drop down on top.But is there any way that I can have a separate excel download button which will be more user friendly for the customer?

Create your own GUI status and add a push button there. In PAI write code for Excel download for that button.

By using GUI_DOWNLOAD am saving the data(only 3 fields) in a text file on my desk top.
fine.
example current record1 : 010001 354.999 26.000
here, after 3rd field 26.000, immediately the cursor is jumping to next line in text file.
but, wanna a SINGLE SPACE after 26.000, say 26.000+space.
tried with CONCATENATE, OFFSETTING, but no use(may b am using incorrectly)
so, pls. suggect me, How to add a SPACE as suffix to the last field in the downloaded text file?

I don't know if you are still looking for the answer if yes then below is the location to get documentation for AAK tool.
1. Go through SAP Note 921103 , this note has all the info for installation of add-on.
2. This document is useful to understand the concept although is looks like taken fro standard SAP documentation video.
3. SAP provide few SIM file which display steps in a video. i don't know if you got it or not i have them in case you need i can send it to you.
I hope this is enough information for you to create Add-on.
