How to add System variable in a Query
Hi Experts,
In ref. to the below query.
(SELECT T0.[CardCode], T0.[CardName], T0.[DocNum],T0.[Installmnt], T0.[DocDate], T0.[DiscPrcnt], T0.[DiscSum], T0.[DocTotal] FROM [dbo].[OINV] T0 WHERE T0.[CardName] = [%0] )
Can you please let me know how to add a System Variabe (i.e., AR Invoice --> Total before discount field --> Variable : 85) to the above query.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Rakesh N
Hi Rakesh......
Its definitely possible.
Try this one....
(SELECT T0.[CardCode], T0.[CardName], T0.[DocNum],T0.[Installmnt], T0.[DocDate], T0.[DiscPrcnt], T0.[DiscSum], T0.[DocTotal], Sum(T1.LineTotal) , T3.DocNum
FROM [dbo].[OINV] T0 Inner Join INV1 T1 On T0.DocEntry=T1.DocEntry Left Outer Join RIN1 T2 On T1.DocEntry=T2.BaseEntry Left Outer Join ORIN T3 On T3.DocEntry=T2.DocEntry
WHERE T0.[CardName] = [%0]
Group By T0.[CardCode], T0.[CardName], T0.[DocNum],T0.[Installmnt], T0.[DocDate], T0.[DiscPrcnt], T0.[DiscSum], T0.[DocTotal], T3.DocNum
Hope this will help you.......

Rahul

Depending on exactly what you mean, the code you posted will work; just fill in the columns you want in place of "...".
If I don't know where you're starting from, and I don't know where you want to go, then I can't give you very precise directions.
Explain what you're trying to do. Remember, the people who want to help you don't know what environment you're working in (e.g., SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Apex, ...), they don't know anything about your application, and they don't exactly what you want. The more you help them, the more they can help you.
Why not post a question that really explains what you need to do? For example: "I have a table like scott.emp, that has multiple departments. Users will always be interested in only 1 departement at a time. I would like them to run standard, fixed queries, such as ... but have the results only apply to the department they are interested in, as if they had executed ... Several users may be on the system at the same time, and they won't necessarily be interested in the same department. I'm doing this in SQL*Plus now, but I may want to do something similar in Apex. My Orace version is ...". -

How to add a parameter to sql query in report
Hi
How to add a parameter to sql query in report.
Parameter is from Visual studio
example:
select * from tab1 where dl=parameter???
I have VS 2008 prof CR XI R2, mysqlHello,
If you have this API available then you can modify the record selection formulae in code to add filtering:
string recordSelectionFormula = "{T_INV_RPT_ADDR.IND_PROMUS} = {?P_PROMUS?} AND {T_INV_RPT_POINT.INVOICE_DATE} = DATE(2008, 05, 31) AND {T_INV_RPT_POINT.CHECKOUT_DATE} = date(2008, 04,29)";
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.RecordSelectionFormula = recordSelectionFormula;
You have to format and follow the rules as in the Designer so not too much work to get this to work.
CR for .NET may not have the ability so you will need to upgrade to a Developer version of Crystal Reports.
Thank you

How to add global variable in either ViewController or CustomController. We realise that codes must be added within the begin and end exction. Codes outside that will be deleted when saved.
How can we add a common WDP project to an existing project? We have actually added a common wdp project at the project references screen. But during runtime, we encouter error. The error is classNotFoundException. The class is the class created in the common project.Hi.
I think you need to assign ProB to ProA.
Step1.
Open propety of ProjectA.
Step2.
Select WebDynproRefrences
Step3.
Select Sharing references
Step4.
Choose add button.
Step5.
If your projectA named "testapp" and you are not using
DC "local/testapp" is the proper name.
I hope that it work!!!. -

public static void main(String[] args) {
Scanner in = new Scanner(System.in);
Random random = new Random();
// create the mainList outside the for loop
List<List<Integer>> mainList = new ArrayList<List<Integer>>();
System.out.print("How many lists would you like? ");
try {
int num = in.nextInt();
if(num <= 0) {
System.out.println("Smartass!");
System.exit(1);
// populate the main list inside the loop
for(int i = 0; i < num; i++) {
mainList.add(new ArrayList<Integer>());
} catch(InputMismatchException ime) {
System.out.println("Idiot!");
System.exit(1);
// later do stuff with the lists, which you access with get()
for(int i = 0; i < mainList.size(); i++) {
for(int times = 0; times < 3; times++) {
mainList.get(i).add(random.nextInt());
System.out.println("The first list is " + mainList.get(0));
if(mainList.size() > 1) {
System.out.println("The second list is " + mainList.get(1));
System.out.println("The last list is " + mainList.get(mainList.size() - 1));
}(In reality all the action would not take place in one method like this, and the exception handling would be more useful and polite.) -
Hi All
I need to Find the Hidden Variable i.e., System Variable in a Document like A/R Invoice,A/P Invoice etc
how can we know the variable no.
Thanks in AdvanceHi madhu,
Usually, the variable number is the only thing you do know. You can go about in two way to find out to what field it relates to
1. Use the System Variables .xls file to know the field description(not the name). Then open PLD, in a report that uses the same table, and browse through the fields until you find a field with the same description. That field list also indicates the field´s name.
2. Query the table in question and browse through the columns till you find the desired field.
If there is a more direct way, I also would like to find out.

THEN THE CORRESPONDING FIELDS DATA SHOULD BE DISPLAYED.
HELP ME.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.Hi
Thanks Ajeet.
The scenario is that I have to create a formula (contract end date-current date) and have to display the result using exeption to highlight the contracts ending in 30-60 days.
The problem is that the info provider does not have any infoobject for date(only valid to and validity start date)
I have created a formula variable on valid to date using replacement path. But dont have any variable to use for current date.
The only time char in the cube is Fiscal yera variant.
How should I go futher creating such formula? Shall I user customer exit variable? But I dont have any date char to create on.
Can you shed some light on this problem

HOW TO ADD NEW COLUMN IN EXISTING QUERY
hi,
i m working on oracle reorts 10g. i have a multiple query based report. now i want to add a new column in query 1 and order by on that new column .
i added column in query but when i see that group i dont find that column in that group.wt do i need to do to visible that column in query1 group thats y the order by on that column is not working i think.
tell how to solve it ?
thanksHi,
The new column you have added might be in the least level group of that query.
Drag it to the desired group level, first postion and set the break order for that item in the property pallette..
(If still the item not coming, check whether you have put 'comma' in the select query after writing the column name)
Simply giving the column in the order-by clause will not work in report.
In Report, record display order is completely based on the break-order of the items given in query-groups
If you change accordingly it will work

Query: How to add new fields in ABAP query?
Hi All,
Can any one tell me how to add new fields in the ABAP query output?
We have to add the new fields using query design or we have
to add those in the background program(automatically generated behind query) by selecting new fields in the code?What kind of report? Usually, you have to add the field in the table declaration and then also in the SQL query. After that, include the field in what kind of report you are using.

when we create internal tables like. in final table you can include the extra fields.
data : begin of itab_mara,
matnr like mara-matnr,
erdat like mara-erdat,
end of itab_mara.
data : begin of itab_marc,
matnr like marc-matnr,
werks like marc-werks,
end of itab_marc.
data : begin of itab_final,
matnr like mara-matnr,
erdat like mara-erdat,
werks like marc-werks,
date like sy-datum,
status(10) type c, * new fields
end of itab_final.
<select statement>.
Append all the fields to itab.
loop at itab_final.
write :/ itab_final.
endloop.

How to change Global variable in the query
Hi,
I have 6 reports which is using 0PDT as a global variable and has single option as a property. Now I want to change this property and have multiple selection but I am not able to change its property.
I am able to see all the filter variables from the query property and from there I am getting edit option to change but the "single selection" option is grey/disable which is preventing me to make change in this variable. Is there any way that I delete this variable and create a local variable which has date range option.
This is affecting all my reports and all the report needs date ranges instead of single select option.
Thanks,
ShivaniShivani,
You can change the restrictions with new variable(right click on required infoobject and choose restrict -->> choose variables -->> move existing variable from right to left and move new variable. Then you can see only one variable.
You can not delete any variable if is using in some queries.
how to restrict:

How to add a dynamic filter in query panel
I want to display the data in recent week, is it possible to add a dynamic filter in query panel?
eg. filter--> actionDate >= CurrentDate - 7
BO version: BOX I 3.1We are still trying to get this filter to work. Can anybody give us an example of how it should look on the sensor?
The sensor filter that we would like to create should exclude any source IP, any source port to specific destination hosts on all destination ports (icmp has none) from capturing events and storing them in the event store on the sensor.
This is the filter that we have so far on the sensor. Whats the problem with it?

How to use System Variable SY_ROW in the Process Instruction Category
Hi ,
I want to assign a value of System variable SY_ROW to a Normal Variable in the Process Instruction Category and use it in the formula. Please help me with the Syntax in the Process Instruction Category to get the System Variable: SY_ROW value into a Variable.
Thanks,
SVHello,
You can use these variables in formulas or, for example, to pass on certain pieces of information to a function module. How the function called by the function module behaves depends on the type of information passed on.
SY_ROW is used to view the current Table line.
Please look into the below link for more details on syntax :
