How to apply formula field for a chart object in crystal report XI

how to add formula field for a chartobject, i tried the following code but returns invalid condition field.
i want to show different chart in same crystal report viewer with different coursestatus values.
please suggest where ia m wrong.

i missed the following line in my code.
rcDoc.DataDefController.FormulaFieldController.Add(oFormulaField);
now it works......
my next issue is that,
chart returns True & False captions. but i want to show actual value. how its to be done

I assume that your formula column is at a higher level than your repeating frame (in other case it's not clear which value you want to display). Bring the filed representing the formula column behind the repeating frame, then it's diplayed only once.

How to change the name of a Box Object in Crystal Reports 2008

I am trying to change the name of a box object in a crystal report - 2008. This report was originally developed by consultants and requires that certain boxes be named according to a specific naming convention. I am making a change to the report and need to add a box with a name that matches the naming convention. This is so some program functionality will work for the new box. I can't contact the consultants because they don't work with our company anymore.
Does anybody have any ideas? I've tried 'Format Box', but it won't let me change the name from there. I also tried it in the Report Explorer but to no avail.

Boxes do not actually have a 'name'. When you add a Box in a report, it will be called 'Box 1' by default. And the only place this name is visible is under the Report Explorer.

How to generate .PRN file from a ReportDocument object in Crystal Reports 10.

I have reports created in Crystal 10 version. From the VB .Net code I am able to load the report to ReportDocument object and able to print it to the local printer. Now I need to generate .PRN file of the report for faxing purpose.
Can anyone help me one this?.

I am struck with how to apply Chronological sort for a month column that contains values like January, February, March, April, May, June.... December. If we apply normal sorting then we can arrange the column values either in ascending order or descending order. But i want the column values to be in this format like jan, feb, mar,apr....dec. Is it possible???
If this is possible then pls tell me the way in a step wise manner for my better understanding..

I can't seem to be able to know how to edit "Credit" field for lots of shots all in once.
I made a mistake of not focusing on the autofill feature which did put my friend's name instead of mine.
How to correct this mistake without modifying EACH shot been imported alone (and there is plenty of them), I don't know about you but it looks like a total time waste.

Custom CSS-Applying selected background for all the cols in the report

I am trying to set a particular background for all the columns in the report(not for all the projects,so that I can avoid option of manually setting background color for complete report.For this I thought custom CSS is best option.So edited custom.css(C:\OBI11g_Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res\s_blafp\b_mozilla_4) file with below code and went to the Answers-> Criteria->Choose Column->style-> check "Use Custom CSS Class"->MyCell

Somehow I dont see the background color applied to any of the columns in report.Can anyone had successful attempt of this Custom CSS.Thanks in Advance.

I started manually writing the code instead of pasting and almost worked.In the mentioned below paths I dont have custom.css file,so I created one and manually entered below code.But does it work for only that particular column and not for all the columns.Is it supposed to work for all the columns or just that column.
For example: I have 2 cols in the report,I used "Use Custom CSS Class" -> MyCell for the first column and when I ran results it shows background color for only col1 and not for col2.I thought this feature will apply background color for all the columns in the report.Please correct me if I am wrong.

I have word doc which having 10 pages. I need to show all of the 10 pages at a time. I tried OLE object but problem is it shows only one page.
Is there any solution to show word doc / PDF file in CR?

Symptom :
When embedding a pdf document into a Crystal Report, only the one page shows.
Reproducing the Issue
Environment:
Crystal Reports OLE object
Cause
An OLE object only displays the first page.
Resolution
Embed multiple objects, one for each page
Or
Use a hyperlink to the object instead

why iam asking is when i add a new details section according to you answer maintaining same height of the two details sections and i see the preview the iam getting gap between each record. this is so because one record from details section1 and another empty space from details section2

Details section B-no records
Then how will i solve my issue

Iam desinging a report in which iam facing a problem to summarize the formula field . This formula field contains sum calculation like
formula name is @sales

the fields are summary fields and iam calculating all these fields to get the final result . Upto this it is working fine but finally i want to calculate the grand total of this formula '@sales' how should do this

If your formula name is @Sales you click the @Sales formula then Click Insert from Menu bar and click Summary.
Then click Grand Total.

I am posting documents in FB50 using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST. I have a requirement to post the documents with profitability segment parameters as well. Should I use EXTENSION1 table to pass COPA updates and implement BTE to achieve it? Can anyone please guide me with the procedure to populate the COPA fields for GL posting using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST?
Also please let me know how/where to check if COPA is enabled for a GL account.
