How to assign style class to page fragment?

Hi,
I try to assign CSS style classes to a page fragment, but there is no way to assign style classes from the default stylesheet.css.
What do I miss here?
Stephan

Hi Tor,
you will recognize that I made some changes, but it didn't solve the problem. As I mentioned everything is rendering fine on Linux and Firefox, also on Windows and Netscape 7.2, but not with IE. In particular the hyperlinks in the page fragment are centered, but on IE they are moved to the right. I also recognized that on all my jsp with the page fragment on it there is a space of about 10 px left on the right side of the window in IE. Following is the source view from IE:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

  • How to assign a class to the material through ABAP code

    Hi,
    I am working on a transaction in ABAP which takes material name, material description and a class from the user. Now, after this much input I create the material, its configuration profile through the ABAP code. For this I know I have to make relevant entries in tables MARA, MAKT, CUCO.. and also check for the existence of the class in the table KLAH.
    Now the point where I am stuck is that I am not able to get how to assign the class to the material through the code. I am able to get the internal class id from the table KLAH but I am not able to figure how the internal material number is being generated in the table INOB and i need this number as well as the internal class id number to insert a record in the table KSSK to show proper assignment.
    Can anyone please suggest me some solutions?
    Thanks....

    Hi,
    I tried using BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE. In order to understand it functioning better I created a material and class (of type 300) through transactions MM01 and cl01 respectively. Then i  created a report and called the FM BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE, gave the material name as the material above, table as MARA, class as the one i created above and class type 300. I even analysed the message of the table return (return-message) after executing the report. The messahe said assignment done. But when I checked mnaually in cl20n there was no assignment done to the required material. There was also no entry for the required material in the table INOB which I need.
    Can anyoene tell me that where am i going wrong? Please do help.

  • How to assign a class for different colored links

    Hi. I'm new to CSS and HTML and Dreamweaver. I'm trying to
    get links to be different colors within the same page. I have a
    navbar with a CSS style that I've assigned colors to all my links
    there. They work. But if I attempt to change the links in the main
    content it screws up the navbar links.
    So, now, I'm trying to assign the different colors to the
    links in the main content. I have the link color down but I can't
    seem to get the visited, hover, active to work.
    So, I read somewhere you have to assign a class to be able to
    have different colors for your links on the same page. There is a
    class assigned to the links I want to change but it only assigns
    the link color, not the visit,hover,active colors. I don't know
    where I am supposed to put the code so that only the main content
    links are changed. Here is what I came up with from reading and
    studying. Can somebody tell me what's wrong with it and where I am
    supposed to put what in each page? This is just a CSS style page I
    made and I have no idea if I even did that right. Then, I can't
    figure out how to tell each page to include it for that class only.
    Thanks.

  • How to assign the class value dynamically  in jsp:useBean ?its urgent

    Hi
    I want to set the class value of <jsp:useBean> dynamically
    when i am trying to this way
    <jsp:useBean id="<%=id %>" class="<%=beanclass %>" scope="request">
    <jsp:setProperty name="<%=id %>" property="*"/>
    </jsp:useBean>
    where beanclass is .class file that is to be used by the usebean tag
    i am getting following error
    The value for the useBean class attribute <%=beanclass %> is invalid.
    please help as soon as possible
    regards,
    Rameshwari

    You can not do that.The jsp:useBean and jsp:setProperty are action tags and not custom tags. Action tags get translated into Java code in the translation unit and are then compiled. Custom tag are backed by classes and the tag get translated into a method call of the class.

  • Page Fragment and javascript - need help please

    Hi all..
    I have a page fragment (being used as a header) and am trying to get a text field in this page fragment to recieve a value from a javascript (that is embeded in the page fragment).. see the example below..
    --------------PageFragment1----------------------------------
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <div style="-rave-layout: grid; width: 400px; height: 200px" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:ui="http://www.sun.com/web/ui">
    <f:subview id="Fragment1">
    <ui:textField binding="#{Fragment1.textField1}" id="textField1" style="position: absolute; left: 180px; top: 30px; width: 165px; height: 15px">
    <SCRIPT>
    var d = new Date();
    document.getElementById("Fragment1:textField1").value = d.toLocaleString();
    </SCRIPT>
    </ui:textField>
    </f:subview>
    </div>
    My problem is that doesn't matter what I do I cannot set the textField1 value from the script. For the actual application it does need to be a javascript - does anyone know how to do this on a page fragment as opposed to a plain page...
    The actual error I get is on the client side and it states that document.getElementById is null... :( someone please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    You probably need to prepend "form1:" to the id (or whatever your form's id is) One sure fire way to figure this out is choose view source in your browser and search for the target field.

  • Css style class can't be used in Page Fragment?

    I need to use css to modify pages. When I open a page fragment and want to apply a css rule to a button, i can't find any styleClass available in popup window: Properties->Appreaance->styleClass.
    Does anyone have any idea?

    Hi,
    You are correct - there is a current limitation that we are working to fix. For now, you can manually add style parameters to the <div in the .jsp. I have also seen div id rule classes in the stylesheet e.g. div#content and then manually applied the div id="content" in the .jsp before the directive include.

  • Assigning Different Style Classes to Portlet Columns

    Is it possible to use the CSS mill to create a style sheet that assigns certain properties to particular columns in the portal body? For example if I wanted the third column in my page layout to tell portlets to turn their borders off and have a gray background while keeping the borders and white background for the other columns.
    I was also told that narrow portlets and wide portlets reference different style classes but I don't see them from viewing the source from my browser. I see platportletNarrowHeader and platportletWideHeader which is for the Portlet Title Bars but not the body. If I wanted all narrow columns to reference a different style class than wide, how could I go about that?

    Allow me to clarify how this works.
    It isn't so much of a difference between narrow portlets and wide portlets, it is a difference between portlets in the narrow columns and portlets in the wide column. (Narrow portlets can be placed in the wide column.)
    Portlets in the wide column reference the styles platportletHeaderBg, platportletWideHeader, and platportletBorder.
    Portlets in the narrow column reference the styles platportletHeaderBg, platportletNarrowHeader, platportletBorder, and platportletLightBg.
    As you can see there are some styles that the two have in common. platportletHeaderBg controls the table row that contains a portlet header. platportletBorder controls the table that contains the portlet content.
    For portlets in the narrow column platportletNarrowHeader controls the text inside the portlet header (the portlet's name). platportletLightBg controls the table row that contains the portlet content.
    For portlets in the wide column platportletWideHeader controls the text inside the portlet header (the portlet's name). There is no style that controls the table row that contains the portlet content for portlets in the wide column. Instead it uses the color of the body of the page.
    So changing the common styles will affect all columns, while changing the narrow column or wide column specific styles will affect those columns. So you can't just change the style for a third column.
    If you want to go beyond those limitations it would involve making a code change in MyPortalContentView.

  • How can I do a dynamic include of a page fragment?

    I have a technical support website with a lot of simple html pages. What I want to do is hyperlink from the index page to another page, which would display these html pages as a page fragment, dynamically based on a session bean set by the hyperlink.
    I basically want to do this, if it was possible:
    <jsp:directive.include file="#{SessionBean1.pageToDisplay}"/>
    Now the FAQ's has a topic "How can I do a dynamic include of a page fragment?", which would seem to answer my question.
    But this is all it says, and it makes no sense to me. Could someone please translate? :)
    "Using a page fragment file (but using instead of the usual Creator approach) will accomplish a dynamic include."

    Here is 1 solution:
    First add this to the jsp:root tag:
    xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core"
    Then surround the page fragment directive with something like this:
                            <div style="position: absolute; left: 24px; top: 408px">
                                <c:if test="${SessionBean1.count > 0}">
                                    <jsp:directive.include file="testPF.jspf"/>
                                </c:if>
                            </div>

    I would also like to know how we get the DOM object ID for particular item.Use firebug or inspect the source code of the rendered page to see the object IDs. Other then then, the typical ID of page items is the name of the item. For regions you can set your own ID.

  • How to specify different horizontal restore & collapse icon for af|panelSplitter using Skinning based on Style class or position?

    Hello,
    I am trying to provide different horizontal restore & collapse icon for af|panelSplitter using Skinning based on Style class or position. I have 2 af:panelSplitter with orientation="horizontal" - One with positionedFromEnd="true" one with positionedFromEnd="false". I want to specify the horizontal collapse and restore icon using Skinning. I want specify different icons based on positionedFromEnd. When I specify icons they are appearing for both splitters. I gave 2 different styleClass to these splitter but it is not taking them in account,
    JSPX Page -
    <af:panelSplitter orientation="horizontal" splitterPosition="196" positionedFromEnd="false" id="pnlSplitterLeft" collapsed="false" styleClass="panelSplitterLeftClass">
      <f:facet name="first">
      <!-- Content of First Facets -->
      </f:facet>
      <f:facet name="second">
      <af:panelSplitter orientation="horizontal" splitterPosition="196" positionedFromEnd="true" id="pnlSplitterRight" collapsed="false" styleClass="panelSplitterRighClass">
      <f:facet name="first">
      <!-- Content of First Facets -->
      </f:facet>
      <f:facet name="second">
      <!-- Content of First Facets -->
      </f:facet>
      </af:panelSplitter>
      </f:facet>
    </af:panelSplitter>
    CSS Skinn
    af|panelSplitter::horizontal-restore-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Left_Open.gif");
    af|panelSplitter::horizontal-collapse-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Left_Close.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterLeftClass::horizontal-restore-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Left_Open.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterLeftClass::horizontal-collapse-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Left_Close.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterRighClass::horizontal-restore-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Right_Open.gif");
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterRighClass::horizontal-collapse-icon {
        width: 10px;
        height: 55px ;
        content : url("/skins/AppSkin/Right_Close.gif");
    It is always showing Left_Open.gif and Left_Close.gif for both splitters. But I want different image.
    How to specify different horizontal restore & collapse icon for af|panelSplitter using Skinning based on Style class or position?
    - Sujay

    CSS attribute selectors are what you are talking about, but binding the selector with EL is a more-common approach. Using selectors like this require you to ensure browser support.
    af|panelSplitter.panelSplitterRighClass::horizontal-collapse-icon [positionedFromEnd=true]

  • How to pass parameter through URL to bounded task flow with page fragment

    I want to pass parameter to Bounded Task Flow With Page Fragment trough URL
    as I start this taks flow with router and according to this Param I will rout the user.
    I added input param to taks flow named direction and make the task flow called URL invoke url-invoke-allowed
      <input-parameter-definition id="__41">
          <name id="__42">direction</name>
          <value>#{pageFlowScope.direction}</value>
          <class>java.lang.String</class>
        </input-parameter-definition>but I don't know how to add this to the JSPX that I will add the bounded task flow Inside.
    and How to pass this from URL

    Hi,
    url-invoke-allowed is only required if the task flow itself is directly accessible from a browser (which is not the case at all if the task flow uses page fragments). To pass input parameters to a task flow that is embedded in a region and that has input parameters, you define the input parameters on the taskFlow Id that is created in the PageDef file of the containing page. To learn ADF task flows, have a look at the videos below. They also contain a sample for passing parameters to a region

    Hi
    I am not suprised no one answered your questions, there are simply to many of them. Can I suggest you read the faq on 'how to get help quickly at - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/470404.
    Especially the section Don't which says -

  • How can I pass a value into a page fragment?

    How can I pass a value into a page fragment?
    I am implementing four search screens. And the only thing different about them will be their backing bean.
    So I’d like to do something like have four pages, each which retrieves its appropriate backing bean, sets that bean to a variable, and then includes a page fragment which contains the generic search page code (which will make use of that variable).
    The code in the four pages would be something like this:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.0"
    xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core">
    <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"/>
    <c:set var="searchPageBackingBean"
    value="#{pageFlowScope.employeeSearchPageBean}"
    scope="page"/>
    <jsp:include page="./SearchPageBody.jsff"/>
    </jsp:root>
    At this point, what I’m seeing is that the fragment page, SearchPageBody.jsff, has no visibility of the searchPageBackingBean variable, either referencing it as #{pageFlowScope.searchPageBackingBean} or just #{searchPageBackingBean}

    The following will work, assuming you are needing to access a managed bean:
    Put this in the parent page:
    <c:set var="nameOfSearchPageBackingBean"
    value="employeeSearchPageBean"
    scope="request"/>
    Put this in the child, SearchPageBody.jsff:
    <c:set var="searchPageBean"
    value="#{pageFlowScope[nameOfSearchPageBackingBean]}"
    scope="page"/>

  • How to use same page fragment more than once in a page,

    Hi Gurus,
    How to use same page fragment more than once in a page. I have a complex page fragment which has lots of Bindings (Binding Property set with backingBean variables).
    I want to use the same page fragment multiple times on the same page with different tabs.
    I want different ApplicationModule Instance for the page fragment in different tabs.
    So I have created a Bounded Taskflow with pagefragments which has this complex pagefragment.
    I've dragged the taskflow to page and created regions.
    I'm able to execute the page successfully when I have only one region but fails if I have region more than once in the page.
    Can anyone help me how to resolve this issue.
    Web User Interface Developer's Guide for Oracle Application Development Framework: section 19-2 states we can have same pagefragment more than once in a page.
    Thanks,
    Satya
