How To automate Microsoft Access Forms

I am trying to use ActiveX to automate Microsoft Access Forms. Does any one have any example code of doing this.

Well, not exactly an example, but sort of an answer can be found here. It looks like getting the reference to a form is fairly simple, so going on from there should probably not be too hard.
Another option, if feasible, would be to use macros. There is an example in the example finder of this, but I'm guessing that's not what you want.

Microsoft Access forms to pdf with hyperlinks?

Help needed.
I can convert Microsoft Word files to PDF and preserve hyperlinks.
I wrote a new application for our parts department using Microsoft Access.
When I PDF a form with a particular part displayed, it does not preserve the hyperlinks.
Now I am in trouble because we need this feature for the engineers to be able to access supporting information about each part (data sheets etc.)
Since the engineers are used to the "Microsoft Word" earlier version they are not amenable in going "backwards" with the "new" system and not having active hyperlinks to the support documents.
I have searched everywhere for a solution and so far found nothing that works.
I am using Acrobat PRO X and Microsoft Access PRO 2010
please help as my "neck" is on the line...

In Access try File->Save as PDF.
If it's anything like in Word, the Save as PDF function does it a different way (ie. not via Postscript) compared to Acrobat. So you might get a result that way.

User-friendly message to Microsoft Access form's user from Oracle server

I put statment like this
RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR (-20001, 'You forgot to enter date') in before insert trigger, so I see in my access form this message, but also a lot of statments like:
Insert failed,
ORA-06512: at ....., line 11
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger ...
Is there a possibility to leave only this user friendly message 'You forgot to enter date!', isn't it?
I would be very fankfull! Please help

How to query microsoft access with DDE Request?

Hello,
We are trying to save the results of calibration tests to access database and include a search tool inside the labview to find specific results based on the part number of the tested device. So far we have accomplished writing data into the access database using the examples of labview. My question is that is there any way to send a query to microsoft access and recieve the results inside the labview? For example send a query with a specific criteria on the part number and recieve the results for that part number.

Why would you be using DDE. That microsoft technology is obsolete and has not been used/supported in quite a few years. Instead, look at the Database Connectivity Toolkit or LabSQL. There are also numerous posts on ADO (the technology behind both). Do a search.

That MS Access driver is 64-bit, I think. If SQL Developer, or JDK is 32-bit you need to use the 32-bit driver. You can see if you have a 32-bit driver installed using c:\windows\system32\odbcadm32.exe

How to automatically update InfoPath Form fields(Design) when a new Column is created in SharePoint list?

I am not very sure will this be going to help you. Ideally, it's not so easy to communicate with infopath using object model. But still you can give it a try using below link :

Is it possible (and if so, how) to automatically approve Access Requests

SharePoint 2013 (we are using SP 2013 On-Prem.) provides the ability for users to "request" access to a site, or for Site Members to "share" content with users outside of the current site users. In both cases, however, the request
for access/sharing is added to the hidden list Access Requests, and a notification sent to the Site Collection Owner/Administrator, who must then "approve" the request before access is actually granted to the outside user.
We have a use case where we would like to have any access requests (specifically those initiated by Member users to share content with non-site users) automatically approved. We still want the Access Request list to track all the requests, but we want
to somehow set all requests to Approved as soon as they come in, so that the Site Owners/Admins do not become a bottleneck where it takes time for access to be granted.
Is there any way to accomplish this without the need for custom code?
I tried leveraging a SPD-based workflow, but there are not properties on Access Request that seem to represent the Approved/Declined selections available in the Request user interface, so there does not appear to be a way (at least via workflows) to set
a request to approved.
Any ideas/thoughts on how to maybe accomplish this?

How to automate iPPE Access Information filling in ie02

I am trying to automate the equipment creation using BAPI and BDC. I am able to create equipment using BAPI and BDC recordings for all the tabs in ie02 but not able to reacord the iPPE Access Information, where in there comes a popup Selection of iPPE Access which am not able to record in a BDC. Is there a better way to fill in the iPPE access information.

This can be possible that you have made some changes to the recording code so transfer the recording to the program and execute it in foreground with any changes to that code, hope you will get the pop up window.
If that pop up is related to any message like warning or success then the BDC program will not take that into consideration.
Also use this option in SHDB.
option : simulate background mode.
while recording though BDC use the following option as ticked.
Default Size = X
Cont. after Commit = X
Not a Batch Input session = X
or try to change the equipment using BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE .There is a structure called DATA_SPECIFIC which is specific for Equipment related data.
For classification related changes, look at the FM's available in transaction BAPI

How to automate PDF fillable form using QTP?

I have a test scenario wherein it involves filling up and verifying the contents of a PDF form. I have the following installed:
- Adobe Reader 9.2
- QTP 10
I followed the steps in the pdftesttoolkit and was able to see the pdf objects but wasn't able to record any when I fill up the form. Is the Adobe Reader 9.2 sufficient for this or do I have to install Acrobat?

Yes, you can automate using Reader. I automated using QTP 10 and Reader 9.3/9.4.
Try specifying the path to Reader explicitly in the Record & Run Settings dialog, then restart QTP and Reader.

well if you are filling some textfields you can do a onchange call so you can submit the form, or use any of the existing functions to do that.

If you created as an Exchange account on the iPhone (not IMAP or POP) and you have Push on it should all work smoothly; Reading a message on either client should mark the other read (it does on mine). Try deleting the account from the phone, rebooting the phone (to clear out old settings), then go to Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendar, add an account and tap Microsoft Exchange and add the account back.
There is a fundamental difference between BB and iPhone that you should be aware of; on the BB you do not sync directly with Exchange; you sync with the RIM server which then syncs with your Exchange server. The iPhone syncs directly with Exchange using Microsoft's ActiveSync protocol. So in some ways they will behave differently. But ActiveSync should manage marking messages as read correctly.

Automatically populating a Form from data stored in Access

Hi,
I need help automatically populating a form from data stored in Access. The form needs to have specific fields that are updated from an Access database. I want to be able to enter a site number and have the subsequent list of information (approximately 35 pieces of data) populate. I DO NOT want to update the Access database via the form. The form is for quick viewing and documentation only, not data entry. Currently I've been doing this with VB in Access which exported the data to a Word Document which was then saved as a PDF. It seems easier and less troublesome to go directly to the PDF form, but I can't figure out how!
I have already connected my database to the form using OLEDB.
I don't want a dropdown list and I don't want buttons to scroll through the sites (I've already found out how to do that through this forum).
Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Some more help to get started in this.. would be really appreciated..Are you trying to come up with the graphs yourself? IF so, are you familiar with MVC?

If I remember well, there exists a database migration assistant to turn Access databases to Oracle.
However, Forms9i no longer has an Oracle Call Adapter (OCA)component which would be required to make Forms9i work with ODBC databases. Oracle's database connect strategy is to use gateways instead.
Removing OCA could be a hot topic to discuss, but the decision made was based on the assumption that Forms9i is Web only and therefore no client side databases are used.
Not sure if Microsoft Access allows you to perform JDBC connects, as this would be an option to get data into Oracle Forms (requires some coding though).

Currently I am unable to find a valid method of being able to open a pdf stored in a Microsoft Access database using Visual Basic studios 2012. I've tried displaying the entire database on a form, but when I do this all the other columns show up with
the correct data besides the one containing the pdf's, it just displays <binary data> in each row down the column. I also tried another method with which you use the database as a dataset and can drag and drop the rows and columns into the form, which
again works for all the other columns besides the one containing the pdf's but this time I'm unable to interact with the column at all.
Not too sure if this is in the correct place, but any answers or help would be appreciated. Cheers.
