How to automize data transactional loads from BW to BPC 7.5

Hi ,
How can I automated the data loads from BW to BPC as nightly loads. If the data coming over to BW cube as delta, how can I handle that in BPC. Appreciate on any inputs.

There are several different ways to automate BPC processes but I would recommend creating a Data Manager Package (set all code in the prompt variable in the advanced DM options) then you can go to the BW backend and run program UJD_TEST_PACKAGE or UJD_TEST_PACKAGE_LINK (SE38). Create a variant for the needeed program and DMP combination and call it from a process chain using the ABAP Program Process Type.

I am testing master data hierarchy data upload from BI to BPC. However when i run master data hierarchy mport package, it's always displaying a warning message saying that no records are returned from "Z_PFT_CTR" which is my info object name.

Hello Experts,
I have doubt , how can I check the load from all modules like FI, SD, MM, HR, PP, BASIS, ............etc from sap level. Can you explain from which transaction and how to check the workload for each module seperately from sap level. We are wondering about the size utilization of each module. Our production database is R3 ECC 6.0 on Oracle 10.2 on AIX operating systems.

As per my understanding, excel has to be imported in Xcelsius to draw up the dashboard. Your aggregated data sits in the xlf file. Using an external excel file will not be possible (I guess).
One of the ways to connect to an external excel, is the use XML Maps but then your data has to be in the form of XML which will be pulled into excel first and then needs to be brought in Xcelsius using Data Manager.
You can explore XML Maps in xcelsius in SDN.

Yes,it can be loaded...all you need to do is the follow the same procedure of source and target as you do with the normal flow,...there is no different with cube as data source...you can even schedule delta from the cube to the DSO.

You should thoroughly check you code. It's full of problems.
For example in saveDate():
You create a new empty ArrayList and then want so save it's contents. I guess, the file size is always 0.
For example in loadDate():
Since you read from an empty file you get an EOFException. This is ok and you should catch and treat the exception properly.
You try to read the ArrayList instead of single MusicCd objects, although in saveDate you saved the single MusicCD objects. You can only read from the file what to saved in it before.
I suggest to write the size of the ArrayList as first object in the file. Then you know how much you can expect to read when loading from the file.

Hi Harish,
First go to RSA5 in ECC select your datasource 2LIS_11_VAHDR and activate it.
After activatin check in RSA6 whether the datasoure activated properly or not.
Then log on to BI sytem Select datasource and click on replicate.
Then Create Infocube infopackage ,Transformation, DTP ...entire flow. But dont schedule it because there is no data in SETUP Tables.For full load first we need to run statistical set up , so that data should come to SETUP Table.
Now go to ECC enter T.CODE OLI7BW to filled up the SETUP Table for datasource 2LIS_11_VAHDR.
It will ask you for Run Name etc give the run name and time limit and execute it.
If you get some error then first delete the SETUP Table by using Transaction Code LBWG.
In LBWG it will ask you for applicatiion number , give 11 i.e for sales datasourc and execute it.
Data will get deleted from SETUP Table. To check data is deleted or not in SET UP Tabe go to database table MC11VA0HDRSETUP. Always remember the name of SETUP Table will be Extract Structure followed by SETUP.
EX : If extract structure name is MC11VA0HDR then name of the SETUP Table will MC11VA0HDRSETUP.
If data gets deleted then again go to 0LI7BW and run the Statistical Setup then agan check in MC1VAOHDRSETUP table contains data or not.
Then trigger the Infopackage and DTP in BI. Above steps was for full load.
Now to Load deltas follow below steps.
First Create INIT at BI side which enable delta at ECC Side.
Then go to ECC and execute T.CODE LBWE.
LBWE is LO Cockpit Work Bench. There we have folowng functions 1.Maintan Datasource. 2.Maintain Extract Structure. 3. Job Control. 4.Delta Type 5.. Activate/deactivate.
If you want to add any new field to your datasource then to to Maintain Extract Strucutere remeber before adding or modififying datasource first we should deactivate datasource by using 5th function Activate/Deactivate.
Then select DELTA TYPE in delta type we have four types of delta. 1. Delta Queue (RSA7) 2. Queued Delta (LBWQ)
3. Unserialized (SM13) , 4. Seriaized (SM13)
If you select Delta queue then deltas drectly come to RSAT.
if you select Queued Delta deltas goes to LBWQ then you have perform V3 job by using Job Control function to move data from LBWQ to RSA7. Remeber to BI data always goes from RSA7 only.
If you select Unserealized then delta goes to SM13 again you have to perorm V3 Job to move deltas in RSA7.
Serialize update is not in used in Lo-cockpit.
There is a differerence between DELTA QUEUE , QUEUED DELTA, UNSERIALIZE UPDATE. Pls find the differences on net.
Then select your delta type and create deltas dtp in BI and start loading .

Data Not loaded from ap_invoice_lines_interface to the base table

Please I'm working on Interface which load invoices from Cobol system to oracle , anyway procedure is working on fine & all data is loaded to the interface as i'm inserting 4 attributes which is DFF on the invoice line level
Now when i ran the import program all data is loaded to the base table except one of the attributes isnot loaded .
will anyone tell me what is the reason or how can i trace that ..........

The MDM Java API is an application programming interface for the MDM software. It allows MDM customers to write customized applications for interacting with the MDM server. The list of functionality available through the MDM Java API includes Records Management, Extensive Search Capabilities,

BI- Integration Process:
With the generic DataSource 0MDM_Generic, which is delivered by SAP, you can load the MDM-ID from the MDM Data Manager into the BI system.
Create a data transfer process with the DataSource as the source and the master data as the target. The system generates the corresponding transformation.
Create a process chain containing the InfoPackage with which the MDM-ID is extracted, the data transfer process with which the MDM-ID is loaded into the attributes, and an attribute change run.

Data not loading from R/3 to BW

Hello
I am a new user in SAP BW, but i am quite familiar with it now. I am trying to load or extract data from the SAP r/3 system to the BW system. When i check the value of my extractor in rsa3 , i can see the records. But when i try to load into the cube in BW , it shows in my monitor " Not yet completed/warning" and "0 from 0 records" . My status is yellow in my details tab(though "REquests" message is green) I am using BW 3.x. It remains like that for a day and then the status changes to red without the data being loaded.
Can anyone help me out with this? I tried a lot of things, but still not able to find a solutions to this?

Well i know it doesnot even come to the PSA.. ! because I had tried that earlier, it still says the same.
I had tried activating also again , but with no success
The error message in the "Status" Tab is as follows

   -->confirmed with :Ok (green)
-> Extaction (messages) missing messages
   -->Missing Messages: Request Received (yellow)
   -->Missing Messages: Number of sent records(yellow)
   -->Missing Messages:Selection completed(yellow)
->Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages(yellow)
->Processing (DataPacket): no DAta(yelloW)
These were the errors

Problem during Data Warehouse Loading (from staging table to Cube)

I have created a staging Module in owb to load my flat files to my staging tables.I have created an Warehouse module to load my staging tables to Dimension and Cube that I have created.
My senario:
I have a temp_table_transaction which had loaded my flat files to it .This table had loaded with 168,271,269 milion record as through this flat file.
I have created a mapping in owb which loaded my temp_table_transaction which has join with other tables and some expression and convert function that these numbers fill to a new table called stg_tbl_transaction in my staging module.Running this mapping takes 3 hours and 45 minutes with this configue of my mapping:
Default operation mode in running parameter of Mapp config=Set based
My dimesion filled correctly but I have two problem when I want to transfer my staging table to my Cube:
#1 Problem:
i have created a cube is called transaction_cube with owb and it generated and deployed correctly.
i have created a map to fill my cube with 168,271,268 milon recodes in staging table was called stg_tbl_transaction and deployed it to server (my cube map operating mode is set based)
but after running this map it did not complete after 9 hour and I forced to cancel my running's map by kill its sessions .I want to know this time for loading this capacity of data is acceptable or for this capacity of data we should spend more time.Please let me know if anybody has any Issue.
#2 Problem
To test my map I have created a map with configure set based in operation modes and select my stg_tbl_transaction as source with 168,271,268 records in it and I have created another table to transfer and load my data in it.I wanted to test the time we should spend on this simple map but after 5 hours my data had not loaded in new table.I want to know where is my problem.Should I have set something in configue of map or anothe things.Please guide me about these problems.
CONFIGURATION OF MY SERVER:
i run owb on two socket xeon 5500 series with 192 GB ram and disks with RAID 10 Array

It is possible to load from Infoset to Cube we did it, and it was ok.
Data are really loaded from Infoset (Cube + master dat) to cube.
When you create a transformation under a cube Infoset is proposed, and it works fine ....
Now the process is no more operationnal and i don't understand why .....
Load from infoset to cube is possible, i can send you screen shot if you want ....

Need help regarding Business rule scenario "How to populate data in "Target Form (plantype2)" from "Source Form(plantype1)" for a particular product/currency dimension combination selected in form1"
Scenario 1) : I have data for Product(Computer)/Currency(USD) dimension combination in Source Form
When i open Target Form and then select a Product(Computer)/Currency(USD) combination and then right click on form to invoke a Business rule to get data for this same product/currency combination from Source Form.
Scenario 2) : If there isnt any data in Source Form for product(Computer)/Currency(USD) combination, then the data for product(computer)/Currency(Default Currency) to be populated into Target Form.
The members in Currency Dimension (Shared Dimension) are USD & Default Currency.
Can anyone please help.

You can either write a Business Rule / Calculation script with @XREF function and also you can check condition if there is data in USD then populate USD else "Default currency"
If you want that data in source to be available in target, then you can use @XWRITE in a rule from source cube to push the data to Target.
