How to avoid border for the dropdownbox in a tableview

Hi all,
        I have a requirement  to disable the border of  the dropdownlistbox which is to be displayed in a column of the tableview.(as it is in standard pcui ).
  My problem is that ,there is a comments column in my tableview which is wrapped.So  when I enter a long string in this column the column conatining the dropdowbox  is also expanding showing two borders ,one of the dropdownbox and the other of the tableview cell .Therefore I would like to display the dropdownbox without an outline.
   How can I achieve this??

I would like to know if there is any attribute which is used to disable the outline for the dropdownbox.
