How to avoid hidden menu in framesets

Hi All,
I have modified apex template to have 3 frames in frameset. We have dropdown menus in frame2 those are hidden by frame3.
Code for frameset:
<frameset rows="15,6,79" cols="*" framespacing="0" frameborder="NO" border="0">
  <frame src="/apex/f?p=&APP_ID.:102:&APP_SESSION." name="Frame1" scrolling="NO" noresize>
  <frame src="/apex/f?p=&APP_ID.:10:&APP_SESSION." name="Frame2" scrolling="NO" noresize>
  <frame src="/apex/f?p=&APP_ID.:107:&APP_SESSION." name="Frame3" scrolling="YES">
</frameset>How to avoid hidden frame2 dropdown menus by frame3.
pls suggest.
Thanks in advance,
Nag

What part of that is unclear? Do not use <tt>frame</tt> and <tt>frameset</tt>.
In APEX terms this means using:
<li>Page 0 to render components on multiple pages.
<li>Dynamic Actions and AJAX for partial page refreshes.
<li><tt>iframe</tt> to include content from other URLs.

    This is a follow-up to http://forums.adobe.com/message/2016146#443364 which was locked due to a bug.
    i would like to know how i can avoid the 'save as' dialogue when using the context menu to convert a word file to pdf using windows XP/acrobat 8/word 2007.
    so far, it always prompts me for the filename, which is annoying as it does not allow me to batch-convert several files and let the thing run its course.
    the solution provided by Steve in the other thread does not work - even if the plugin from word does not propt for a filename, it still does when triggered from explorer/context menu.
    so back to square one: how to avoid that dialogue when not opening word at all?
    cheers, thanks for any help. michael

    For a permanent change, START>PRINTERS>right click on Adobe PDF printer and select properties>General>Printing Preferences>Adobe PDF Settings. Under the settings tab, uncheck the box related to asking for a name. Pretty sure that is the location, but it may vary with version.

  • How to avoid the message in the dashboard report

    Hi,
                       I am developing Dashboard reports(graphs) using WAD. Query and WAD are working fine. I need to put a variable for Calendar Month or Year in the graph .I am populating the Variable with default value initially and I am getting the correct result . But if I change the Variable value second time, I am getting a message (type I(information) ) in the same screen which says that 'You cannot change variable ZCALYEAR_WT01 for charact. 0CALYEAR during query navigation' . And below is the detailed information about the error message.
    The Can be changed in query navigation property has been set for variable ZCALYEAR_WT01, characteristic 0CALYEAR. However, the variable is used in the query in such a way, that the system is unable to apply this change-option.
    This can, for example, occur under the following conditions:
    Characteristic 0CALYEAR is filtered by additional restrictions (the restrictions must be joined using an OR-connection)
    A second characteristic, which is restricted by a variable, is compounded to charcteristic 0CALYEAR.
    Variable ZCALYEAR_WT01 is a hierarchy node variable, but the hierarchy has not been determined uniquely.
    A variable can be changed during query navigation only if it is used exclusively in a drilldown-characteristic, and there are no further restrictions to the characteristic other than this variable. There must be no additional characteristics with variables compounded to the characteristic you are working with. For variables for hierarchy nodes, the hierarchy must be determined uniquely and agree with the set display hierarchy.
    Also, if the characteristic value is moved, for example (ZCALYEAR_WT01 - 1), the variable is no longer able to be changed when navigating queries.
    System Response
    The entry ZCALYEAR_WT01 Can be changed during query navigation is not applied.
    Procedure
         I checked the query definition and it is not having any offset or any other restrictions for Calendar Year
    It is used for finding the total quantity by country for the year  .Hence Quantity keyfigure is added in the Keyfigures and Country is in the Rows and Calendar Year is restricted with Variable in the global filter .There are no other fields and no other restrictions .
      I am still trying to figure out why the warning apprears in the DashBoard. Since this Dashboard report will be used by the Power users and this warning message will be annoying to them .Hence I need to find how to avoid this message.
    Kindly do let me if anyone has faced this and solved earlier.
    Thanks for your time.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raja

    Hi Nick,
      Thanks for your suggestion and it  worked for me   I  added the 'System message' web item and set the visibility to 'Hidden'  .Now I am not getting any message. Thank you for both.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • How to avoid database logon dialog on every action of refreshing reports

    I am using Crystal reports 208 SP2 and has a database connection to oracle database. Connection is esablished and report retrieves desired data, The problem is when ever i open this report ( which has this connection set) and do a refresh,  the report the LogOn dialog pops up.
    How to avoid or save this log on info such that it does not pops up the LogOn dialog when i open the report and do a refresh(F5).?

    Hi Don,
    Thanks for the reply. To try  your suggested approach, i need some clarifications .
    _Problem summary:for refrence, _
    I am following the steps mentioned below to establish a database connection, and fetch the data.
    1) I am using Oracle drivers for configuring the ODBC data source. As part of configuration i will specify the Oracle server name
    2) In crystal reports, Using "Database" menu, i open "Database Expert" dialog and "Make New connection" by specifing the data source mentioned in step 1). During this process, (ODBC)logon information will be filled in. The user ID and password used has all the rights to access the tables in the database. Logon will be successful and connection is established.
    3) Further i use the database table from the "Database Expert" on to the report and refresh(F5) to fetch the data.
    After step 3, I close the report  and reopen it. Now trying to refresh the database logon dialog pops up. I need to avoid this pop up
    Requesting Clarification:;
    1) You have specified "When you connect you have the option to use Trusted Authentication, check this option on". Where is this option. Is it in the crystal reports or is it available during data source configuration. Kindly specify.
    2) Here "Enterprise logon info that has been configured on the Oracle server." implies the oracle database login information right? If yes, this login details are available and i am using this logon information(i.e. UseriD and Password) during database connection.
    If No, Is "Enterprise logon info " is something which should be specifically enabled by DBA in oracle11g configuraion.
    Kindly suggest.

  • HOW TO VIEW HIDDEN FILES?????

    i have searched for days on my computer for some hint a program or option that allows me to view any hidden files in an application folder, but it has yet eluded me.
    I am having trouble with a program of mine, and the tech service there told me to send them the programs log file, which they named. i looked in the applications folder, and the only files i saw was the program icon, and the uninstall folder, which contained the uninstall icon. i told them this, and they replied:
    "i'am sure that these files are on your computer. Maybe they are invisible.
    Please search (automatic) the folder ".********" ."
    if anyone knows, eitehr what this means, or how to view hidden files, please let me know
    Thanx

    To see inside an application package select the application then CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Show package contents from the contextual menu. You can navigate through the application package's content. It's unlikely you will find anything useful there.
    To see invisible files open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and at the command line prompt enter or paste the following command then press RETURN:
    defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
    To turn off the display of invisible files substitute FALSE for TRUE in the same command line.
    Invisible files are invisible for a reason - to hide them from the prying eyes of novice users and ignorant tech support people. Perhaps it would be more helpful if you could detail the problem you are having.

  • How to use 'Find' menu in Screens

    Hi all,
    I wanted to know how to use 'Find' menu in screens.
    Actually I have created a screen through SE51 and used the pushbutton to assign the function 'Find' ( one with binoculars ). The screen uses a table control to bring all the data from the DB table in the PBO module. When the user uses FIND button the system should prompt a search pop up screen onto which he will enter the search parameter and when he enter that the corresponding line item should be displayed on the tablecontrol. I wanted to know what logic should be incorporated in the program if that pushbutton is used. Please reply immediately. Its urgent.

    Hello,
    In the PAI under a module (user_command for example) when the user click the button you should use the command READ TABLE (if you look at the help, there's some options to do the READ dynamically - [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d3/2e974d35c511d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm]) to get the line index and with it you set the TOP_LINE of the table control ( tc_table-top_line = sy-index for example).
    Doing this the selected line will be the first in the table control on the next step (PAI/PBO).

    Hi Jay
    Web items and HTML elements (for example, tables, texts, and images) that you insert into a Web template, as well as the Web template itself, have a context menu. This context menu has context-sensitive menu entries that you can use to call various Web Application Designer functions. You can, for example, use the context menu to save a Web item (for which you have specified properties by using the parameters) as a reusable Web item, call the properties dialog box for this Web item, copy the Web item and paste it into another Web template, or delete the Web item from the Web template.

  • How to avoid merged columns on conversion

    Dear All,
    I have built some reports using Oracle Developer Report Suit. All is well and working fine but when I send report output to Excel file I am facing following two issues:
    1) It goes always to .xls file which is excel 97 format and having limit of maximum 65 thousands rows. Can I convert report to excel 2010 .xlsx file as my reports sometime contains large number of rows?
    2) When I convert into excel all information comes normally with proper format but some of report columns occupy multiple excel columns which is causing difficulties in sorting and other function in excel. How to avoid it?
    I would be glade to hear from you guys to resolve above issues.
    Thanks!

    Zia wrote:
    1) I have a detail report which contains more than 100 thousands rows. This report is already on menu and available to users. User have got an option on menu that they can select output either 'screen' or 'spreadsheet'. If user select option as 'spreadsheet', report open in excel file but in old excel and truncating excessive rows as .xls have limitation of maximum 65 thousands rows. I do not want to use 'csv' format as directly conversion into excel is more convinient for users. If report contains less than 65 thousands rows then everything is fine and no issues with the report. I hope I could explain real problem this time.65 thousands rows is the limitation of that version u use. I use Microsoft Office 2010 where limitation is 1048576 is a sheet.
    One solution is uninstall the present Office version and use Office 2010.
    2) Regarding second point, I have a summary report which is all fine and showing desired output in desired format. But when user want output in excel file, some of report columns occupy more than one columns and causing difficulties for users. Actually users do need to convert few reports into excel and work with formulas in excel but in this situation they have to do lots of changes in format before applying formulas. A sample screen shot of a report and converted report in excel file both can be seen on this link [https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=573511bde4261fe6#cid=573511BDE4261FE6&id=573511BDE4261FE6%21120]
    I'm not sure about the solution. Most probably you have more space in repeating frame and cause this thing happen. shorter the space in the frame and try.
    Hope this will help you.
