How to be able to view the proxy service's WSDL in the browser

Hello, I created a ALSB proxy service that I have been able to successfully access from a SOAP client. I exported the WSDL from the Project Explorer, Resources Block, Actions column, and it gave me this URL to hit the proxy service:
http://mymachine:7001/OneProxyServiceToOneBusinessService/DoubleItWSFromWL_PRSRV
No problem here. But when I try to access the WSDL from the browser (helpful for SOAP clients in generating the JAX-WS artifacts), using this URL:
http://mymachine:7001/OneProxyServiceToOneBusinessService/DoubleItWSFromWL_PRSRV?wsdl
I get this error HTML message back as a response:
"Error 405--Method Not Allowed
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.6 405 Method Not Allowed
The method specified in the Request-Line is not allowed for the resource identified by the Request-URI. The response MUST include an Allow header containing a list of valid methods for the requested resource"
(Same error message if I omit the "?wsdl" at the end, BTW.)
I don't understand this message--what do I need to do to be able to view the proxy service's WSDL from the browser, or does ALSB not provide that option?
Thanks,
Glen

Click on the Proxy Service in your ALSB project to go to Proxy Service Configuration page. On this page, you will see an endpoint URI, something like /myservice. To get the wsdl in browser, use the URL like http://mymachine:7001/myservice?wsdl

Make sure that you are using non-xa datasources and in DBAdapter outbound connection pool configuration provide the data source JNDI in "dataSourceName" property instead of "xADataSourceName" property. Update the DBAdapter after changing configuration.

  • Need JAVA API to list down all the Proxy Services in OSB Console 11g

    Hi,
I need a java API to List down all the Proxy Services present in OSB Console for SOA 11g (11.1.1.5). I am in a situation where I cant use python script for the same.
any help will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,

    AFAIK it is proprietary.
What I do in a similar situation is to form XML for the services, package them into JAR the same way as an import JAR is packaged (creating ExportInfo resource, ...) and deploy with standard WSLT script. Works for simplest services only (direct proxies mostly) but I can also form security, alerts, throttling etc etc etc -- all in one shot.
Out of sheer interest, may I ask you a question? Why do you need to create OSB services from Java?

  • How to use "Routing Table" option in Proxy service in OSB ?

    Hi,
I have created Business and Proxy services in my OSB console. I have used "Custom Query" option while creating the Database Adapter and I'm passing one input parameter to the query. My input parameter is "Name".
Based on the input values for this parameter, I need to pass a corresponding values to the query. For example, If I pass the following values to "Name" input parameter (India) I need to pass "Value1" to my query -
    India --> Value1
    China --> Value2
    America --> Value3
To achieve this requirement, I have used "Routing Table" option. I have specified the values as follows -
    Expression - $body/fet:FetchCustDataInput/fet:Name
    Operator- '='
    Compare value - India
    Service - "My Webservice"
    Operaton- "My Service Operation"
In the "Request Actions:" I have added the "Add an Action --> Messaging Processing --> Replace" and provided the following values -
    Replace <XPath> = $body/fet:FetchCustDataInput/fet:Name
    in Variable = "Name"
    with Expression = xs:string('Value1')
and selected "Replace node contents" option.
No validation errors I faced. I have created the Routing table in Proxy service. But when I try to execute the proxy service in my Test Console, I get the following error message -
"The invocation resulted in an error: Unknown error while processing message for service ProxyService OSBQueryService/FetchByCustomQuery/FetchByCustomQueryPS."
I have even enabled "Direct call" and "Include Tracing" options as well. The message under "Tracing" give "(echoing request)
Routed Service. No Service has been invoked, the request is echoed.".
Can anyone please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Udaya

Did you put any loggers in the proxy at request pipeline prior to route node ? Can you trace if the request has entered request pipeline aleast.
If not just check the transport headers under the request window in the test console. There should be a text box for entering username/password which should be left blank. I have faced this unknown exception from test console in some browsers where an incorrect username/password used to get populated here. Check this ..

  • My location service is not working from the day one the response is that (cannot able to determine the location) .What can i need to do to see my location in maps and other application even the location services is enabled in the settings?

From the day one the response is that (cannot able to determine the location) while using ios5.1 .What can i need to do to see my location in maps and other application even the location services is enabled in the settings?.Which means that is there is any problem in my ipad ? currently running on IOS 6.

Your location is determined from a location database which contains the MAC addresses of routers and their physical location. A MAC address is a unique number which is built-in to all network devices when manufactured. The database is built and updated by actually driving around and mapping router locations.
Since you just moved the location of your router has not been updated in the database and when you use Maps you will see your old location.
If you go outside your house you can be correctly located because your iPod sees other routers which are in the location database. Note that you do not need to be connected to a router for your iPod to see it and obtain its MAC address.

  • What is the use of creating proxy services using WSDL.

    Hi
Am a beginner in ALSB and i have a basic question. Business services are created using WSDL,thats sounds logical as we need to invoke the actual backend services .
Proxy services are connected to business services and what is the need that it can be e created using WSDL.
What is the use of creating proxy services using WSDL.

    Hi,
I beleive you are confused because of the apparent inclusion of transport information in WSDL (that is the host:port/endpoint where the service is hosted). However, if you refer to the w3c specification of WSDL1.0 ([url http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl]www.w3.org/TR/wsdl), you will find that WSDL has three separate sections:
    1. The schema information that describes data element(s): specified in types
    2. The message information ie message and port sections that specify the parameters and the operations
    3. The service section that specify the actual protocol and endpoint binding.
Ideally, a WSDL can be broken down into these three separate components. Any WSDL containing the first two is called an abstract WSDL and is used for a top-down approcah for web services, and if the third part is used, then you get a concrete WSDL, containing invocation end-point also.
Comming back to your question one can typically use an Abstract WSDL for creating proxy service. This way, the service requester and integration can go on two separate threads where the common denominator or agreement between these two parties in terms of operation name and data element are imposed using the WSDL.

Does it runs in the same thread of the Proxy?
    If NOT,
which work manager is the Java Callout pinned to?
can I set the work manager I want?
    Thank you,

    Thanks a lot.
    Pointer to great info.
However doesn't mention Java Callout threading, nor the documentation does.

  • Creating the proxy service

When I create the proxy service and choose to be created from the WSDL, I have two options for selecting the port and binding, could you explain the difference in choosing between the port or binding?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Here is the difference.
If the service is based on a binding:
If the service is generated from binding Y in the WSDL resource, the effective WSDL defines a new service and port (<bindingname>QSService and <bindingname>QSPort). None of the ports defined in the WSDL resource are included in the effective WSDL.
There may be multiple ports in that WSDL associated with that binding. Each port can use a different URL. Therefore, the effective WSDL uses the binding but generates an artificial port from the configuration on the service for that binding. All other ports will be removed.
If the service is based on a port:
If the service is generated from port X in the WSDL resource, then port X is also defined in the effective WSDL. Any other ports defined in the WSDL resource are not included. Furthermore, if you base the proxy service on a WSDL port, the effective WSDL uses that port name. The binding is determined from the port, and in turn, the port type is determined from the binding.
The effective WSDL preserves any WS-Policies associated with the port defined in the resource WSDL.
The transport address specified in the port definition in the resource WSDL is never used as the address for a proxy service in the effective WSDL:For HTTP services, you must specify a transport address when configuring the transport in the Administration Console or the plug-in. That address is used in the port definition in the effective WSDL.The URL specified as the transport address for a proxy service is always relative to a path in an Oracle Service Bus domain, because Oracle Service Bus always hosts proxy services.
For SOAP-protocol-based WSDL services, the transport URI in the SOAP binding depends on the transport implementation. For standard transports (like HTTP and JMS), this value is as per the SOAP specification or another universally accepted value. For transports for which SOAP does not define a standard value, Oracle Service Bus sets one consisting of a predefined namespace with the transport ID appended at the end: http://www.oracle.com/transport/2007/05/.
There is one service element in the effective WSDL, and the port address contains a URL whose syntax and semantic is defined by the transport selected in the binding.
    thanks,
    Richa

Firstly, there's no such thing as Apache 9.3, there's Apache 1 (and subversions) and Apache 2 (and subversions). Your error message -
    Oracle-HTTP-Server/1.3.28Shows you're using Apache 1.3.28
Secondly, I'm confused by your comment -
I do not have Apache 9.3 or higher but I think oracle should offer this in its companion CDOracle does offer the Apache server, if you're saying you didn't get it from Oracle then where did your Apache server come from?
Thirdly, I notice from your config file -
ErrorLog "|E:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Companion\Apache\Apache\bin\rotatelogs logs/error_log 43200"That you're piping the logs through rotatelogs, are you sure the logfiles haven't just been renamed?

  • The agent service is running, but the request failed for ...

    Hi!
ZCM 10.3.3 on SLES 11. HP notebook, Windows 7 Pro SP1.
When WiFi is also switched on I got yellow diamond in ZCC and error "The agent service is running, but the request failed for one or more known addresses.". What this does mean? WiFi off -- green again! =)
    More thanks, Alar.

Does the address it's getting via Wireless have a path back to the ZCM server? That was my point. If your wireless is vlan'd away from the wired network, ZCM won't be able to contact it through THAT particular address and will show the yellow diamond as a result even though it communicates fine through the wired address.

  • RDS 2012 The WinRM service failed to create the following SPNs: Additional Data The error received was 1355

    Hi,
I have RDS 2012 session deployment in Azure with connection broker high availability.
The "Remote Desktop Management" service does not start automatically when the connection broker virtual machines are stopped and started.
I see the below error in event logs of both the connection broker VMs
Note: WHen i manually start the "Remote Desktop Management" service after this error, it all works without issues.
    I get

    Warning 10154 - in Microsoft-Windows-Windows Remote Management
The WinRM service failed to create the following SPNs:
     Additional Data
     The error received was 1355

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
In respect to error 46, this issue may occur if the computer boots without a configured dump file. The default dump file is the pagefile. During a clean Windows OS installation, the very first boot will hit this condition as the pagefile has not been set up
    yet.
To resolve this issue, you may want complete the paging file configuration.

In regards to error 10154, you need to create the SPN specified in the event using the
setspn.exe utility and also need to grant the “Validated Write to Service Principal Name” permission to the NETWORK SERVICE.
