How to bill travel expenses of technitian directly to customer?

Hello experts,
i would like to have travel expenses (PR05) directly attached to customer invoice. Is it anyhow possible to be done? Does it require any special customizing?
Currently the costs are assigned to the service order, but when confirming working times IW41 travel costs are not shown on debit memo and follow up invoice.
Please advice.

    Hi All,
    Please advise how to configure travel expense types and general expense types in SPRO differently.
    In our project, we have different screens in portal for travel expenses and general claims. Now for the client to see the expense types differently, I have to either do some groupingd for travel expense types and for general claims so that in the front end, they have different drop-downs as the expense types are different in both the categories.
    Please advise how the same can be achieved.
    Till now, I just now 1 SPRO node in travel management which says create travel related expense types.

    you try the same scenario and test it ....
    As far i know IT0003 PY status gets defaulted automatically ......

  • Travel & Expense - Expense Upload?

    Hi all,
    Is there not a way in the system to upload travel expenses in mass?  A customer needs all employees to submit their expense sheets via excel to a single manager...the manager needs to then aggregate them in a single excel file and upload the travel expenses...
    Can this be done?... & if not, is there a workaround?
    The only options we currently see are (1) buying hundreds more licenses for all the employees who need to submit travel expenses (which the customer is unwilling to do) & (2) creating a supplier for every single employee and doing a supplier invoice upload for all the expenses (very tedious & even then we can't associate the supplier invoices to the employees correctly)...

    Hi Ben,
    first of all: Unfortunately there ist no standard functionality to upload expense reports in mass.
    But the current customer process with a single point of uploading excel files sounds to me like a organisational problem for which I would recommend to do it like in ByDesign standard scenario. That means let employee creating their expense reports in ByDesign directly, only in this case you can use standard workflows. Yes that means more licences but only Self-Service licences and for me it sounds like a more efficient way as the current. This is my opinion and the answer I give our customers if they ask.
    The other standard way is the central record of expense reports in Travel and Expenses Work Center -> "Expense Report On Behalf" but I think you already know that this is a lot of work.
    Your workaround with supplier invoices could work but in this case you have to definitely talk with an auditor before because for every booking you need an receipt and in this case the receipt must be an invoice from employee. You also have to pay attention to the fact that this supplier upload sheet (standard functionality) only allows, i think it was 30 line items per invoice but you could also develop an own upload function, web service for that is available.
    Another solution can be to check SDK possibilities, I don`t know exactly the BO for expense reports but it coud be possible to provide a web service for it.

    Hi,
    In the cross applications, when you configure the data entry profile, attach the Trip schema. Go to the CAT2 Transaction and enter the activity for the day. Select the Line and on the top you will find Environment. Under Environment, you can find Travel expenses. Selecting the same will open the Travel expenses screen to enter expenses.
    Note: you should have configured Travel management and maintained IT 0315 and 0017 for each employee.

    Depends on what you mean by "surprises" in the bill. Verizon's rates for using your phone internationally are pretty expensive, ~$0.99/minute. I would certainly think a 10 minute call for $10 would be surprising!
    Well it would certainly depend on your phone, but if it is a 4G LTE phone, you can simply purchase a prepaid SIM card from the location you are going, switch that with the SIM card currently in your phone and you would be using your phone locally in that location. Of course you would need to notify people needing to contact you of your "temporary" new international phone number. Make sure you keep your Verizon SIM card safe as you would want to switch back to it when returning to the states.
    You can see Verizon's global services information HERE. It includes a trip planner and would be more specific on the prices you would expect to pay if you chose to use Verizon's service rather than a local SIM card from where you are visiting.

    FITV_FPM Web dynpro component is the main component where configurations in done for both Travel Expenses and Travel Request.
    But when the user is in Create Expense Report, after submit, it wont approve automatically. It will route to the Workflow and then in the final stage only calling the Business Object BUS2089, method APPROVE.
    And also as i said, in the Class CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS, under IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTIONS, you can find whether it is CREATE_NEW_TRAVEL_REQUEST or CREATE_NEW_EXPENSE_REPORT.
    There is already a below coding in the above method. you can use Post-Exit or Pre-Exit enhancement, to do your own validations.

    Hi Kappy,
    The situation is hard to describe it seems.  They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll show screen shots....
    Clicking on the Desktop icon does not open a finder window but rather opens a program.  The problem seems to be that the "desktop folder" in the finder is not recognized as a "folder" but rather is listed as "anything".
    Here is what the folder should be normally. (shot taken from another account on the same computer).
    Solutions tried to fix this problem:
    1.  tried to delete the Desktop icon, and to pull it off to the trash and also to move the icon somewhere else.  The icon doesn't change.
    2.  I've taken the icon off by removing it in the finder settings.  When re-checked, the problem stays the same.
    3.  I've deleted the finder.plist file and the sidebar plist file in my account.
    4.  I've repaired permissions.
    5.  I've tried to re-assign the link in the info pane - associating the icon with the "finder"
    I have three accounts on my computer.  My main account is the only one affected by this problem.
    Anyone who might have a solution, I'd love to hear your ideas!
    It looks like the "kind" needs to be changed from "anything" to "folder" but I don't know how to do that.

    In Travel Expense Manager (tcode:PR05), after u select a trip for a certain personal number, u will go into details screen. Then when u select a single receipt from the below tab called 'Receipts' and then click the 'Enhanced Cost Assignment' button at below, u c pop-up screen appear. Inside the pop-up screen, under the 'Enhanced Cost Assignment for Entire Trip' there there will be some row of data. So, now my problem is how to delete whole row of data based on cost center? Is there any enhancement like user-exit or what can be used?

    I debugged the FM HRTRV_IF_ADD_RECEIPT and came to know that for adding comments, have to give
    input to the Input table ADDINFO.  while giving inputs to this input table,  i am getting the error like shown below.
    Field PTK33-PLACE. does not exist in the screen SAPMP56T 1310
    I checked this screen in the PR01 and PR05 Tcode. There was no screen exists with this screen number 1310. The standard FM HRTRV_IF_ADD_RECEIPT is using BDC for adding the receipts,comments,addinfo ,etc., But i checked the screen number in BDCDATA of standard FM HRTRV_IF_ADD_RECEIPT for adding both comments and addditional information(addinfo) , there the screen number was SAPMP56T 1310. But in the PR01 it was like this SAPMP56T 1960 .
    How to solve this issue, and how i have to add comments.
    Please send any sample program if u have.

    I confirming that position 24 for other settlement under TRAVEL EXPENSES CONTROL (EXPERT VIEW )
    Now we have issue identifying which underlying ABAP LIST Form used.

    create  IT 17 with "EE Grp Expense Type". You will find this value in the config for travel expenses from PA30 t code
    What do you expect the travel expense admin to do. if the workflow system need to pick him/her  up, then, you can create a "Authorities/Resources" infotype

    Thanks for the response. The workflow must be routed to immediate supervisor as a default. The employee must also be able to pick a different supervisor in which case the workflow will be routed accordingly and the original manager will receive an email informing him about the expense report to keep him in the loop..
    If items are outside of the company policy it should automatically get routed to senior management. I was under the impression that you would set controls to ensure this didnt happen. ie you would enter the maximum allowed amount in the configuration. How will the employee then be able to enter a higher amount?
    I think for the different per diem I figured out that you can use reimbursement groups..am I right?

    Pl advised how do we post a travel expenses for an inter-company transaction. This is an integration between project management module and travel expenses as well as FI/CO and Travel Management System.
    Company code EC01 and EC04.
    Resource from EC04 was utilised in EC01 project. We are trying to post the travel expenses for resource EC04 into EC01. So the expenses can appear in both client invoice (EC01 invoice, as travel expenses was payable by client and EC01 basically help to collect on behalf for EC04). The next will be inter-company invoice (EC04 will need to billed EC01 for the resouces/travel expenses incurred in EC01 project)
    We are trying to make use of the cost assignment feature in 'TRIP' by indicating the network and network number. Still unable to generate inter-company travel expenses. Pl advised what should be the correct way of posting.

    My suggestion would be to go with the DIP Profile with the material determination.
    In your case it would be the travel expenses.
    Create a WBS elemenent where these services are being used and make it as billing element.
    Assign a sales order with this this material and assign this DIP Profile in Sales Tab-B.
    DP81, ODP1 are the Tcodes you can look for..
