How to blend texture alpha values (RGBA) with vertex alpha values (COLOR_4)

Hello,
I want to draw a transparent texture (a cloude texture that is square and reapeating) with soft edges (the cloud shape is defined through the geometry not the texture). For this I've created a geometry with a alpha value of 0.0f at the edges and 1.0f in the inner vertices.
But I'm only able to get it rendered with either the vertex alpha (if I I create the texture with RGB format - no alpha) or with only the texture alpha (when I declare the texture with RGBA format). I've tried many combinations of TextureAttributes (BLEND, DECAL, COMBINE with COMBINE_BLEND, COMBINE_ADD, COMBINE_MODULATE, etc..) but I can't figure it out.

How to convert a number to FLOAT with 9 decimal values.

Hi all,
I need to convert a number like '10.02' to a floating point number with 9 decimal values like '10.022111221'. I think that the right function is TO_BINARY_FLOAT, but how can I obtain 9 decimal values? If I use the following syntax:
select TO_BINARY_FLOAT(num) from table
I obtain a floating point values with a variable number of decimal numbers after the ".", instead I need 9 number after ".".

the number I need to select is the result of a product, for example:
select (Num_A * Num_B) from Table;
Num_A has 2 decimal numbers, like 12.01 and Num_B could be: 12.111111111.
Now, Num_A * Num_B = 653.999999994
but I issue:
select TO_BINARY_FLOAT(54.00 * 12.111111111) from Table
I obtain:
654, a rounded value, but I need 653.999999994.

I know, that the proper way to populate the right side of shuttle is that:

The left side of the shuttle is populated with a select list with display/return values, as you know.
I need both sides of the shuttle to return profile_id in order to create a merge.
How is it possible to populate the right side of the Shuttle with display/return values?

All you have to do is to use the subset of shuttle query to assign value to the right side shuttle.

How do I save a PNG file with an alpha channel in Photoshop CS5?

I have a PNG file created in Photoshop and I need to save it with an alpha channel for web purposes. I tried 'Save for Web & Devices' and selecting the Transparent box. Then, after saving, when I select 'get info' for the file it says there is no alpha channel. I'm stumped I can't seem to create an alpha channel from within Photoshop while I'm editing. Help!

If you save as a 24bit png with transparent checked photoshop will save the png with transparent background (ie alpha transparency). The png will appear transparent in a web browser.

I have created custom aspx page and added "PeopleEditor" control(can select multiple users) in that page. Now I am trying to update person or group column with peopleeditor control values.I am not getting any error if I select single user
in PeopleEditor control but getting error if I select more than one user.

First get all the users/groups from the PeapleEditor by using PeapleEditor.ResolvedEntities

OVS Value help with a preallocate value

i use a OVS Value Help whitch contains one field and a button for search.
Now i want to preallocate this field with a default value and execute the search automatically when the OVS View appears.
How can i do it?

Hi Sid,
You can set default value to the field in value help within the method applyInputValues() and within this method, call onQuery() method which contains the logic for fetching the search results. Please find below the sample code for applyInputValues():

How to search for a text node with a particular value in an xml document with labview

supposing i have the following xml document:

i want to search for the author of the book "the beard" using for example the V.I Get first match of labview to access the the node with value "the beard" and then use Get next sibling V.I and Get node text content to get get the author of this book..so my question is how do i write the xpath expression for Get first match so as to access the node with bookname "the beard" instantyly? am trying to minimise the use of loops because they increase the time duration,..thank you (NB:i dont want to use Get all Matched V.I because it obliges me to use a loop in order to access the name derrick and this increases the time duration for my v.i)

The r1 and r2 columns are not needed for the solution. You may want to display them, just to help see how the query works.

For you Requirement Please use USE key option.
In graphical mapping when you will select valuemapping function then you can see the
"Behaviour if lookup fails " option
Double click on the value mapping function to see this options.
There 3 options for lookup fails:
1)USE KEY
2)throw Exception
3)Use default value
you can select use key for your requirement.
If you pass 00 as input to value mapping and it unable to find any value in value mapping for 00.
then it will pass 00 to the targhet without any conversion(in case of use key option)
If you pass 01 then it wiill do value mapping and send 02 to target.

How can we Restict the Char value Variables with <, >, <= (without selecting Inverval or only passing single value)
For Example
We have a standard Query 0FIAR_C03_Q1005, in this
New Selection
"1 - 15 Days, Posting Date<=Key Date, Clearing Date>Key Date"
This is restricted with the
Clearing(0CLEAR_DATE)
<Clearing key date(0P_KEYD3) It is a single value SAP Exit Varible
PostingDate(0PSTNG_DATE)
<= Posting keydate(0P_KEYD3) It is a single value SAP Exit Varible
When seeing these 0P_KEYD3, 0P_KEYD3 variables in the New selection screen they looks like >0P_KEYD3, <=0PSTNG_DATE
if you define any custom variables these are looks like =ZV_DATE.
to enable < , >, <= symbols for variables what we need to do.
In other way
Say we created one variable ZV_DATE single value, processing type as customer exit.
for this we populated current day,
Now Requirement is we need to display the all the records which are <= current date,
instead of passing low and high values, i want to restrict the calday <=ZV_DATE
New selection
0calday
<=ZV_DATE
How can we achive this, this is how the business content report having the restrictions
Please sugget me.

Ok,
In the InfoObject 0calday in the query designer under the filter area, under characteristic restrictions right-click over that InfoObject (0calday).
In the next window (select Values for [0CALDAY] Calendar Day in the dropdown box for "Show" choose Value Ranges. Under the word "Between" dropdown box select "Less than or equal to"
Below that word click on the button of the dropdown box Select from list.
In the new window select instead of History Variables and double-click on your variable ZV_DATE.
Click on the right blue arrow to move it to the right.
And there you go.
Tip: It exists a SAP standard variable named 0DAT which is exactly the current date (don't need to use ZV_DATE variable).
