How to calclulate Total no.of employees in shift wise,
when im giving two input dates,the should be total no.of employees in shift wise.
please give solution for me,

Dear Mathankumar,
If you are using LDB then based on date it will pick all employee.
you mention the Infotype 0007(this will store shift Details) so that it will pick this infotype record.
After that you can play with the records.
Like using collect statement based on shift

    Hi,
    create the new formula for the employee count then define the formula.
    hit the aggregation tab -> exception aggregation tab -> select the counter for all details values that are null or zero and reference char -> employee.
    it will give the count of employees.
    leaves,(CL, optional leaves, restricted leaves) for these object you can create the new selections.
    these object getting same info object id yes use the restricted char.
    for joining date and releasing date you convert char to KF using the replacement path then calculate the days.

    Select the key field Per nr for out put
    GO to organizational Assignment select the Employee group for selection
    and also Organizational Unit for selection.it will come to the right hand side
    Give the input ESG as 1 for active and also input the org unit (dept) u require to
    see the list of employees
    and press out put for list or else hit list for number of employees

    Hi - I have a giant report that contains basic info such as name, employee id, check date, check hours and check earnings.  The problem is that I need only the totals for each employee and not the entire check earnings for each date.  Can someone please advise on how I can create a report with the output I would like.  Here is a sample of the data that I would like to summarize:

    Easy enough at first glance.  I am assuming that each employee can only belong to one pay group.
    Group on EmpID
    Suppress Group Header and Detail Section
    Place the fields Pay Group, EmpID, Name, Title, F/P and Status on the group footer
    Create a running total for the field Earnings and choose SUM for type of summary, Evaluate for each record and RESET on change of group and choose the EmpID group you created in step 1.
    Repeat step 4 but this time choose the field HOURS.
    Place both running totals in the group footer.
    The report should now show only summary totals.  This is the simplest scenario.  If one employee can belong to more than one pay group or status etc, then you will have to group by those fields and perform steps 3 u2013 6 on the innermost grouping.

    Go to LISTSCHEMA tcode in your system, give your CUBE name and execute.
    You will fine two table E and F table
    goto SE16 -->give the table name and click on number of entries.You will get number of records.

    the alv output will display the sum at the last row.
    for this functionality u have do this logic.
    data: lw_fcat type slis_fieldcat_alv.
    data: lt_fcat type slis_t_fieldcat_alv/
    wa_fcat-fieldname = 'AMT1'.
    wa_fcat-tabname = 'ITAB'.
    wa_fcat-do_sum = 'X'.
    append wa_fcat to lt_fcat.
    and then pass it to reuse_alv_grid_display function,

    Well, you may want to try this as well, and compare to the LOOP way.  Not sure what kind of overhead you may get doing this way. Here ITAB is our main internal table, and ITAB_TMP is a copy of it.  Again I think there may be some overhead in doing the copy.  Next, delete out all records which are the reverse of your condition.  Then whatever is left is the rows that you want to count.  Then simply do a LINES operator on the internal table, passing the number of lines to LV_COUNT.
    data: itab type table of ttab.
    data: itab_tmp type table of ttab.
    itab_tmp[] = itab[].
    delete table itab_tmp where fld1 <> 'A'.
    lv_count = lines( itab_tmp ).

    hmm .. what i would do is
    - create a placeholder column
    - create a field in the header and one in the footer
    - have the footer field reference the summary column
    - have the header field reference the placeholder column
    - create a fromat trigger on the footer field to
    store the value of the footer into the placeholder column
    so when the report is executed and the footer field is formatted, the format trigger stores the current value of the summary in the placeholder. then the pagebreak occures and the header field is formatted .. printing the value.
    there might actually be an easier way, just reference the two fields to the same summary column and in theory, since there is nothing happening between the time when the footer is formatted and the header is formatted, the values should be the same .. however this is a theory and i have not actually tested this. since reports does all kinds of fancy optimization this might have unexpected results, but it's worth a try.

    Hi, I tried another logic. I took value from  Standard button, in which B2B application display total items and amount and I hide this field, to another text element.
    Now I Am breaking that value in words and stored them in array  and then trying to display that array with particular number which contains total item and amount through Java Script on Focus.
    But problem here is, It is not getting updated automatically I have to click on new text files to trigger Onfocus event. How I can achieve effect like as soon as Standard button changes it's value which is now hidden filed my new text box should update automatically.
