How to call javaScript function in the form from Action:Tab buttion in workspace

Hi,
I want to trigger JavaScript function that I have written in form from Action: buttons in workspace user's account.
Is there any way that if i hit a button on action bar, it fire a javascript function.
Reason is: I dont want to place button on the form to perform any action on the form. I want to take control of the form from these buttons. Like submit, edit a form, etc, etc..
Please let me know if i couldnt explain it properly.

Sunil, you want to look at the "Customizing the LiveCycle® Workspace ES User Interface" document at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/customizeworkspaceui.pdf. The workspace is a Flash component. For ES4 there's an option to run the workspace in HTML5 which might be more productive long-term.

u can call java script in design mode.
Add this code in ur design part inside body and call the function as

How to call javascript function in Flash

Please help...
I have a site that run multiple of domain for example
Domain (A): raymond.com
Domain (B): raymond.ca
The problem is this.. when (B) html page load the flash file
that locate at (A) it load but non of the buttons work which call
javascript function using getURL("javascript:showpopup()"); But it
work fine if all reside on the same domain,eg( (A) html page load
flash file form (A)). Anyone know how to solve this other than
create a set of flash files on (B).

As per Gerd Volberg suggestion, i had placed DBTest.jar in
E:\DevSuite\forms\java\DBTest.jar
and in formsweb.cfg the below jar is added..
archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,DBTest.jar
But in Fomrs Builder-->Program-->Import Java Classes-->Oracle
org,ice,com and subnodes are available.
But my jar is not available..
Is my way is coorect?

How to call javascript function & action method on clicking jsf button?

I have one jsf custom button. I am checking client side validations in mail by calling javascript function & also sending mail by calling action method of a bean which will execute at server side for onclick event of that button. Because of this when I click on that button its calling both javascript function and action method. So even though validations failed its sending mail. How can I overcome this problem?? i am trying to call java script function in back bean but not done. Is there any code for call javascript function in bean file.

Java runs at server side.
JSF produces HTML output.
Server sends HTML output to client.
Java stops running.
HTML runs at client side.
JS starts to run in HTML.
Clear? Java is a server side language. JS is a client side language. To run JS using JSF, simply print it out to the HTML so that it get invoked when the HTML runs.

JavaScript functions across the forms?

We are developing set of forms using LiveCycle Designer. The forms are complex and need some involved JavaScripts. I found great feature where we can insert a script object to hold common JavaScript functions and use those anywhere in the form. However, as I need to create some 35 such forms, I was wondering if there is any way of creating a library of JavaScript functions that I can use for all the forms. I.e. I do not want to create Javascript Object per form but want to find out if I can have one JavaScript object that I can reference from all the forms?

Feeling especially lazy today, I thought I'd try asking rather than testing this to find the answer. How does updating scripts in the library work? If I have multiple forms that use a script from the Fragment Library, when I tweak the script and save it, does the tweak change the script in all the forms? If so, does this happen upon reopenning each form in Designer? (i.e. each form still has to be reopened in Designer for the tweak to happen, right?). I feel like an idiot asking, but I'm long in lazyness this miserable, damp, dreary morning in Wisconsin. Even my little dog's energy has waned today.

I have a project in Flash with four external AS files, which are linked to items in the library using AS linkage.
What I want to do is call a function in one of these files from the main timeline, how would I go about doing this? I'm not currently using a document class, most of the code is in Frame 1 of the main timeline.

How to call C function in .m file from another function in a .mm file

I am making an interface class between a C library and an objetive C application.
I have not problem calling function the C library from .mm funstions,
but I am having problems calling .m functions from the .mm class.
here is an example of what I mean.

Basically I can call objective C class methods from .mm files,
but I can not call functions who are not members of a class from .mm funtions.
Does any one knows how I can solve this?
I have two books on objective C and neither show how to do that.

Well, you've got me on this one. You are correct. Apparently you don't need to specify the parameter names. Still, I strongly encourage you to use parameter names. Even though they apparently aren't required, I've never seen them not used. I would have expected to see:
[ent GetBBoxMin: & minBox max: & maxBox]
The problem is calling C function that are declared in .m files.
if you read the errors, they are linking errors not compiler errors.
this is a C function that is declared in a .m file
struct dVector size = SubVector(&maxBox, &minBox);
beside I also use those functions in many other place as well in teh project and they work.
If it helps I can post a link to the a download place to the xcode project maybe it is eassy to see what I am trying to do.
That would probably be a good idea.
Normally, all you need is
extern "C"
but there is so much missing from what you've posted that I can't tell for sure what is going on.

Now that Web Services is around, I'd look at possibly implement a Web Service call in your applet, which can then be given back any object(s) on return. Set up your server side to handle Web Service calls. In this way, you can break the applet out into an application should you want to (with very little work) and it will still function the same

I guess you will have to use the asynchronous RFC for your requirement.
So that this FM can be called frm WD applicaiotn and due to asynchronous nature, it has no relation with other user actions which are going on .
