How to capture changed value in ALV Grid

Hi Guys,
I have an ALV grid report where I have 'Edit On' for one of the quantity fields in the report. How do I capture the new (changed) value in the suboutine for user command when user changes the value in the report and clicks on a button ?
Points assured for helpful replies.

FORM USER_COMMAND USING P_UCOMM LIKE SY-UCOMM...........
Data ref1 type ref to cl_gui_alv_grid.
CALL FUNCTION 'GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR'
IMPORTING
E_GRID = ref1.
call method ref1->check_changed_data
ENDFORM.

• How to capture changed data at ALV screen

Hi ALV Experts,
I am using Following method for ALV display :-
CALL METHOD g_alv_grid_0200->set_table_for_first_display
EXPORTING
i_bypassing_buffer            = 'X'
is_layout                          =
it_toolbar_excluding          =
CHANGING

it_fieldcatalog                   =
CALL METHOD g_alv_grid_0200->set_ready_for_input
EXPORTING
i_ready_for_input = '1'.
Now I am changing few values in ALV screen and capturing through following Method :-
CALL METHOD g_alv_grid_0200->check_changed_data
IMPORTING
e_valid = l_valid.
THIS ABOVE METHOD STRANGELY CAPTURES CHANGES IN QUANTITY AND DATE FIELDS ONLY AND NOT IN CHARATER FIELDS.
Can somebody suggest how to capture changes of character fields also.
Thanks in Advance,

Hi,
Check whether the following logic helps.

• How to capture the event in ALV grid display?

Hi experts,
How to capture the event in an ALV grid display which is editable. I have to capture the TAB key or ENTER key.
regards,
Arul Jothi.

Hi Arul,
Take a look at sample program BCALV_EDIT_03. (Find string "register ENTER" in the program to see how to register)
Basically you have to Register edit events using method call REGISTER_EDIT_EVENT and then write a handler method for event DATA_CHANGED..
If you are using a REUSE..GRID fm then first get the grid reference using function module GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR and then repeat the above procedure..
Hope this helps..

• Changing Values on ALV Grid (using Classes)

Hi all,
I have ALV Grid output, on which ZMENG (Target Qty) column is editable. So user will enter in value in ZMENG column and press ENTER. Then TOTAL column should be populated with ZMENG * NETWR columns. I have tried with changing/ entering values with char data type columns like MAKTX etc.. Its working fine with them. But when I entered in value in ZMENG, the actual value which I have entered is not flowing into LS_GOOD-VALUE. For char data types its been populated with user entered values.
Can anyone please tell why its not happening with Quantity or Currency fields.

Hi Jaker
Try calling cl_gui_alv_Grid->refresh_table_display.
refresh table display when ever the qty is changed.
It should work.

Hi,
Once user selects multiple rows and press another button for further execution, you can modify your internal table with marked rows using selection column.
You need to add user command code in your ALV grid call. Please refer below code.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
EXPORTING
I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM       = SY-REPID
I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET = 'F_GUI_STATUS'
I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND  = 'F_USERCOMMAND'
I_GRID_TITLE             = TEXT-026
IS_LAYOUT                = WA_LAYOUT
IT_FIELDCAT              = I_FIELDCAT
TABLES
T_OUTTAB                 = I_OUTTAB
EXCEPTIONS
PROGRAM_ERROR            = 1
OTHERS                   = 2.
IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
MESSAGE S475 DISPLAY LIKE 'E'.
LEAVE LIST-PROCESSING.
ENDIF.
*- User command for details display.
PERFORM F_USERCOMMAND USING I_UCOMM
I_SELFIELD.
FORM F_USERCOMMAND USING FP_R_UCOMM LIKE SY-UCOMM
FP_SELFIELD TYPE SLIS_SELFIELD.
IF L_V_REF_GRID IS INITIAL.
CALL FUNCTION 'GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR'
IMPORTING
E_GRID = L_V_REF_GRID.
ENDIF.
IF NOT L_V_REF_GRID IS INITIAL.
CALL METHOD L_V_REF_GRID->CHECK_CHANGED_DATA.
ENDIF.
ENDFORM.
You can then read your final internal table as below and take the selected records in another internal table.
LOOP AT I_OUTTAB ASSIGNING <FS_OUTTAB> WHERE SEL EQ 'X'.
APPEND <FS_OUTTAB> TO I_CHECK.
ENDLOOP.

• How to change sub total value in ALV Grid.

Hi All,
Can u please explain how to change SUBTOTAL Value in ALV Grid display based on another field value.
EX; F1 subtotal is initial then we have to modify the F2 sub total to 9999.9.
Thanks
Radha.

Hi Radha,
I doubt if that can be changed....because the event that i was referring to in my previous post works with ALV List display...But in any case you can try that.....
There is an event in SLIS....(As i told you, i dont remember the name and currently i dont have access to SAP system, so i am not able to verify and let you know that event name).....
Other thatn TOP and END of PAGE events, there is an event for sub-total text......i think it would start with "SUBTOTAL"...
you need to use that event in your events table and pass it to ALV Grid display.
Then create a sub-routine with that name (As you do for TOP-OF-PAGE event)....and in this event you can change the values in runtime (PROVIDED, this event gets triggered for ALV GRID).....
If this does not work, i think calculating sub-totals while you build the internal table would be a better option....(If you have time constraint....else you can do some more research on the same)........
Best Regards,
Ram.

• How to keep track of the changes done in ALV GRID Report

Hi Experts,
how to keep track of the changed record in ALV GRID Report. how to set the field to be editable even for the entire row also. Can anybody guide along with code also?...
Valuable answers will be rewarded.
Thanks,
Satish.

Hi,
Access the table through SM30. It comes blank as standard. Click "New Entries" and make entries for changes to be tracked. For example, whenever an org. unit changes 002 and 003 relationship, you will make entries like:
01 O 1001 B002 Activate box checked
01 O 1001 B003 Activate box checked
Here, 01 is your active plan version, O is org. unit, 1001 is infotype and B002 and B003 are the subtypes. You can also use * for infotype and subtype which means every change will be logged.
If you then run the report RHCDOC_DISPLAY through SA38, it will pick up all the changes pertaining to B002 and B003 relationship for org. units (in the above example).
Similarly, you can set up this table for other object types.
For more information, follow SPRO>Personnel Management>OM>Basic Settings>Activate change documents and go through the documentation for that node. Also, read up the documentation for the report.
Hope this helps.

For the purpose of this example i will build the fieldcatalog manualy
by populating the internal table fields individually and then
appending the rows. This method can be the most time consuming but can
also allow you more control of the final product.
Beware though, you need to ensure that all fields required are
populated. When using some of functionality available via ALV, such as
total. You may need to provide more information than if you were
simply displaying the result
I.e. Field type may be required in-order for

Background:
~~~~~~~~~~~
There a two possibilities to implement an f4-Help in the alv grid
For the former there is nothing to do at all. This report shows how
to implement user-defined f4-help.
• How to capture the values given in SSC1 transcation?
Hello All,
Can anyone suggest me, how to capture the values given in SSC1 transaction?
Hello Clemens Li,
Requirement: Integration of SAP Appointment Calendar with Gmail Calendar
If I create an appointment in SSC1 transaction, it will appear in SAP Appointment calendar. The same thing should get updated in Gmail calendar of SAP user and also in the guest Gmail calendar if exists in appointment.
So, I have to capture the input values given in SSC1 transaction while creating an appointment in SAP and try to export those values to web services using some function module.  Sending those values to web services completes my task.
Means, if I create an appointment in SAP, at the same time, the values which I gave must get exported to some object. So that I can send them to web services.
But my actual problem is with capturing the input values given to SSC1 transaction.
How can I get those values out to some internal table?
Another one is, I did not found any BADI to enhance SSC1 transaction so that I can include my code there.
If you know any enhancements in SSC1, please let me know.
If you want any more clarification, please let me know.
Thanks for the response
• How to trigger left_click_run event on ALV GRID
Hiiiiiiii........
Can any of u please tell me how to trigger left_click_run event on ALV GRID.
There is an event LEFT_CLICK_RUN and  its a public accessed event. But the problem is , the corresponding  attribute of this event  "EVENT_LEFT_CLICK_RUN" which is needed to registered that event (We need to register our events through a method set_register_events  using table of type cntl_simple_events...) is protect accessed. So I am unable to use that attribute...Could u please tell  me is there any alternative way to register that event.......ANY POSSIBLE WAY?
Thanks in advance,
Rams
I think you should use event selection_changed. Note that you shouldn't allow multiple selection for the tree at the same time, i.e. use: create object g_tree exporting \[...\] node_selection_mode = cl_gui_column_tree=>node_sel_mode_single.
For more information, see this thread: Urgently required :  cl_gui_alv_tree single_click event...
