How to chagne the cursor

Does anyone know of a website that has free cursors for Mac's? I can change the cursor on my PC, but haven't been able to find any for my mac.

Try going to http://www.giofx.net/osx/icursor.htm. This has some pretty neat sursors. There are several other sites to download cursors. Use icursor.

How to determine the cursor record count before the "open cursor"?

Is it possible to determine the record count of an explicit cursor without running a count()? Say, my cursor definition is something like this,

I want to log the count of records returned by the above cursor prior to the first fetch, without running a count(1) for the query in cursor select.
I know adding " Count(1) over(order by null) " in the cursor SELECT will bring it. But that does not help me log the record count to some log file or table before opening the cursor for processing.
To conclude, my objective is to update the record count of cursor in some table before processing

Each select is a consistent read. Which means that if this is done as 2 select statements, the 1st select can see a different version of the data than the 2nd select statement. does. So if you want a count and that to be consistent and on the same version of the data than the select, it has to be done as part of the select.
Also consider what a cursor is. It is not a result set of sorts that is created in memory upfront - with a convenient interface that tells you the size/number of rows of that result set.
A cursor is basically a program that reads database data as input and produce output. A fetch from a cursor is an instruction for this program to execute and output data.
There's no data set that is created by the cursor from which the count can be determined. The cursor program does have state variables - like +%RowCount+ that specifies how many rows the cursor has thus far output. And you need to run that cursor to the end (no more output) in order to determine the total number of rows output by the cursor.

How to change the cursor type when a TableView class was added to a Swing application?

We can resize column width by dragging the column divider in the table header. This is a built-in feature of the TableView class.
Normally, the cursor will become to east-resize (or west-resize) type with positioning the cursor just to the right of a column header.
However, I found that the cursor is remaining the default type at the same position if I integrate JavaFX into Swing Application. That is adding the TableView to a Scene, and then adding this Scene to a JFXPanel, finally, adding this JFXPanel to the JFrame.
The sample codes are listing below:

But, How Can I achieve to Place the Cursor at Specific
Position within that Field ?
I know, the starting position, length of string I want to hightlight with the Cursor.

The only cursor postion behavior that can be controled is the item property "Keep Position".
The following is the text from the on-line help for item property "Keep Position"
KEEP_POSITION Specifies whether the Keep Position property should be True or False. When Keep Position is True, the cursor returns to the same position it was in when it left the text item. When Keep Position is False, the cursor returns to the default position in the text item. Valid values are PROPERTY_TRUE and PROPERTY_FALSE.

How to modify the cursor palette size in a waveform graph programmaticaly in LabVIEW8

In previous version of LabVIEW it vas possible to create reference to cursor panel (array) so it was possible to resize, change number of rows, in it. It will be useful for me to have reference to TreeControl contained in cursor legend. How to create this reference? The method described in the manual works for scale legend but not work for cursors panel.

In my opinion the cursor palette at list should have the following functionality:
Automatic resizing of the panel while adding and removing cursors programmatically (like plot legend)
Positioning the panel programmatically (like plot legend)
Hiding any columns and rows. For example when I hide one of the cursors (let say the second one, not necessary the last one) also this one should disappear from cursors panel, removing cursor from cursor list might be inconvenient. If I have one cursor and not enough room to show cursor panel I can not hide the cursor name column that is unusable but occupies place on the panel
Altering number of column and rows programmatically. If my cursors serve for selecting part of the signal to be processed (for example trimming signal) it is sense less to show cursors Y position
Hiding cursor navigator, it works very badly (try to move cursor only to the next measurement point to select exactly for example 10000 points), so I move it under other controls.
Formatting data displayed
Having additional elements (coming from underlying tree control) is not necessary in several cases. Life will be much more pleasant if it will be possible to get reference to this tree control.
By the way it is possible to customize this palette. In design mode configure WaveformGraf to show cursor legend. Select it and then select from menu “Customize control…” Now you can do whatever you (I) want, for example change the column name from X to Time. Save your work, if prompted replace original with just designed and… nothing changes – funny isn’t it?

How to move the cursor in a text input programatically

I am using a TextInput field and a my own keyboard UI with buttons for each alphabet.
When the user presses buttons on the keyboard UI, i populate the TextInput field through data binding.
But I would want the cursor to move as the characters are entered in the field at the same time.
So, how do I move the cursor using actionscript code?

In that case you need to programmatically insert the text at the selection point. You get the selection point using the selectionBeginIndex and selectionEndIndex properties. I have an app where I do that, using this code:

This is what the code does:
gets the starting and ending positions of the insertion point (in case the user has an active selection rather than just an insertion point).
concatenates the old text with the new text and writes it into the text input
restores the user's previous selection or insertion point (In this case I'm setting the selectionBeginIndex and selectionEndIndex properties rather than calling setSelection(), but the end result is the same.)

How to change the cursor

I somehow changed the pointer / cursor in bridge from an arrow to a small magnifying glass... when i position the cursor / pointer on a picture in the PREVIEW panel in bridge and press on the left mouse key, the cursor is a small magnifying glass that opens a small window that magnifys whatever portion of the screen it is on.... i DO NOT know how i changed it and CANT find out how to change it back to a POINTER ARROW.... please help...thanks...dave

I have a log in window with Username (Text field) and password (Secure Text field). The 'Log In' button is not enabled if I use the Set command. So I wish to use the Keystroke.
But I need to make sure that Cursor is in the text field and then to keystroke. So how can I move the cursor to the required text filed?

Well, for a start you can identify the application you're working in. That's kind of important.
In most cases you can just emulate a press of the tab key but it's kind of a crude a approach (there's no guarantee that you're in the field you expect). Certain applications, though, may have better ways of achieving it, but since we don't know what application you're using we can't say if that's the case here.
