Change the logo in the right-hand side of the initial screen
- To put your company logo in the right-hand side of the initial
screen:
Put your picture in the database with the transaction SMW0
"Binary data" options, e.g. in ".GIF" format.
Put a record with the picture name in the key "START_IMAGE" of
the table SSM_CUST in the View maintenance transaction SM30.
- You can adjust the picture to the window size automatically or
center it in the right-hand side of the initial screen
("RESIZE_IMAGE" "YES" or "NO" in the table SSM_CUST).
- You can deactivate the picture globally so that noone sees it
with "HIDE_START_IMAGE" "YES" in the table SSM_CUST.

How to change the visible length in screen painter?

Hi Guys,
we have field in screen which is type to ATWRT but the visible length is set to 11. ATWRT is 30 char.
Please advise on How to change the visible length in screen painter to make it 30?
When I try to edit the defined length from 11 to 30. It wont allow me to.

Try the below method:
Goto Screen Painter -> Double click on Input-Output field for ATWRT another screen will appear with attributes of Input Output field -> Increase the Visible length Value there. (Option of visible length is below the Name and Text attribut of Attribute windiw.)
If the Visible length field isn't allowing change then declare it as a Char type instead of taking the DataType for Data Dictionary.

I followed the steps defined in

I had uploaded a gif file called "setup.gif" in workspace, using utility "Manage CSS and Image Files".
Then I had copied Page Template called "Main Page" to
"XO1 Main Page"
I performed the following changes in the XO1 Main Page

can someone help me out why proper subsitution is not happening i.e

How to display a specific SAP logon screen per system?

Hello,
I woud like to display a logon screen which contains system-specific information, e.g. for the QAS system it would be something like "This system was created by a system copy from PRD on MM/DD/YYYY"...
I have gone through the SAP Note 205487 and my understanding is that I have to create the ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO in the development (changeable) system and transport it.
Note 205487 : "Creating/changing this text requires a changeable system. Therefore, for production systems, SAP recommends maintaining the text in the upstream system and then transporting it."
Can anyone please provide me with some hints on how to create a different logon screen for each system and apply them via transport requests?
I prefer not to "open" the QAS system in order to create the logon screen because I would then have to "open" the productive system to create a different logon screen...
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
You can change the inside logo of the login screen.
1. Execute the transaction SMW0.
2. Select Binary data for WebRFC Application and press Enter
3. Press Execute
4. Click on Create button
5. Enter the Object Type and Description and click on Import
6. Select required logo path
7. Select $TMP package and click on Save
8. Execute Transaction SM30
9. Enter the Table/View - SSM_CUST
10. Click on Maintain and change the Value for START_IMAGE as <imagefile name with extension>.
11. Save the changes into the transport.
12. Log off and logon to see the changes

How to change the Text description on screen...(not the Data Element)

I want to change the just text of one of the label on one of the screen. I don't want to change the Data Element, as the same data element is used in multiple places, but I want to change only at one particular screen, at one particular spot
Any suggestion....?

a)If you change the Text in a LABEL manually, then translation of the text can't be done.
Better create a new structure which will be used in all such cases where u can't change the data element.
Create fields in the Structure with your newly created data element and refer the field in the Label.
b)IF the translation is not an issue then manually enter the text.

How to change columns in PO overview screen

In standard SAP in PO Overview screen the first column will be Status and second will be Item, however in our system it is changed and the first column is short text and second is qty and then followed by status column.
How can i interchange it back to normal.

Just Select The Total Column, then Drag & Drop accordingly..
whereever you want..
Alternatively you can do by
in the top right corner of the item overview you have a button for table control (above the vertical scroll bar).
If you click that button, you get a pop-up from where you can customize the layout.
Press the blue info button there and read how this is to be done.

How to change server in SAP B1 8.8

I have a problem in using SAP B1 8.8. I have 2 separated server which is one is contain license server and the other server contain database company. My client doesn't want the company database in one server with license server. In SAP B1 2007 that my client used before, this is not a problem. But now, in SAP B1 8.8, it's become a problem because SAP remove "CHANGE SERVER" button in modul change company. I tried to click in the server list but the server that appear is License Server only. I can't find Database Server.
So, How can i choose the database server ?

before you can add your <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS you must have your SBO-COMMON database available in SQL Server.
If you have the original SBO-COMMON.mdf and SBO-COMMON_log.LDF files just place them under you SQL Server DATA folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA) and Attach from MS SQL Server Management Studio.
Also attach any company databases.
After that you can add <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS as follows:
- open SAP B1 Service Manager
- select License Manager service and click Settings
- click Configure Security (bottom left)
- enter password and click OK
- enter your Connection Settings e.g.
    MSSQL_2008
    <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS
    sa
    <sa-user-password>
- click OK
That will take care of the connection settings but not of your Add-ons registration.
So if you have any add-ons (e.g. Screen Painter, Fixed Assets, etc.) you will have to manually edit the AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file (under C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One) and change any
Name="<server-name>" entries to Name="<server-name>\SQLEXPRESS"
Save the modified file.
Now start the SAP client, press Change Company and set you Current Server to <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS
Done.

I have to change the logo in production server, they have provided a new logo, how should I load it into production server as well as how can call it into my Script.
I can upload logo in my development server, and can change it in my script, if I move it to production, my newly uploaded logo will also move to production server, or should I move it some other way, please help

Steps for uploading Logo :-:
1. Goto the transaction OAER
2. Enter the class name as 'PICTURES'
3. Enter the class type as 'OT'
4. Enter the object key as the name of the logo you wish to give
5. Execute
6. Then in the new screen select Standard doc. types in bottom window
Click on the Screen icon
Now, it will ask for the file path where you have to upload the logo
7. Now you can use this logo in REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE

How to change the existing sap logon ticket

I did the System copy from my production server to Quality server.
Now everthing is working except Single Sign On. This is due to SAPlogon ticket.
the SAPlogon ticket show the PRD sid. I am not able to change the existing sid in ticket.
Tell me how to chage the old saplogon ticket with new one.
Workaround i did in my server.
generated the new certificate for Quality server and try to import in R/3 000 client. but not successful.

You dont have to import the certificate from R/3 into portal
we have to generate the certificate in portal and then import in R/3
To generate the portal certificate in quality Portal system and uploading in R/3,please find the method:
Log on to the Visual Admin of Portal with administrator id and password. Go to the following node: Server 0 1_34158->services and then Key Storage
In Key Storage, go to TicketKeyStorage
Under Entry, choose Create.
The Key and Certificate Generation dialog appears
Enter the Subject Properties in the corresponding fields
CN=<Common Name>, OU=<Organization Unit Name>, O=<Organization Name>, L=< Locality Name >, ST=<State/Province>, C=DE. give SID of portal in CN
Give the Entry name as SAPLogonTicketKeypair.
Select Algorithm as DSA,also click on store certificate and then generate
You will see along with SAPLogonTicketKeypair, SAPLogonTicketKeypair-cert will also get generated.
Now we will have to import this SAPLogonTicketKeypair-cert in the ABAP systems
First we will have to download the certificate from the portal.
Now logon to the SAP Netweaver Portal with user administrator
Go to System Administration->System Configuration and then Keystore Administration.
In the Content tab you will find the list of certificates
We have to download SAPLogonTicketKeypair-cert .Click on Download verify.der file
To your desktop
Now we have to import the certificate in ABAP system.
Log on to the ABAP system 000 client and use T-Code STRUSTSSO2
Under Certificate, click on Import certificate
Give the path of verify.der file. The file format should be Binary
And upload it.
Now you can see the certificate has been uploaded. Check for the validity
Now click on Add to certificate to add this.
Now click on Add to ACL.
Enter System ID as the portal SID(i.e is SPQ) and client as 000 and click on Ok
Then save your entries
