How to change the graphics card in a hp pavillion p6 2260 ea

I got a new KFA2 GeForce 650 Ti graphics card but I don't know how to install it on my HP Pavillion p6-2260ea.
Thank You

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion p6-2260ea Desktop Computer. According to the specs, this model came with a 300 watt power supply and Windows 8. Most NVIDIA GeForce GTX650 Ti cards require a 400 watt or greater system power supply to function correctly. You will need the replace the power suplly with something like the Corsair CX500 or CX600. These power supplies come highly recommended and are known to fit most HP consumer desktop computers.
Please see "Adding or Replacing an Expansion Card (Video Card, Sound Card, etc...)" for instructions on installing expansion cards including graphics cards. While these instructions aren't for your exact computer, the proceedure is the same.

  • Questions about changing the graphic card

Greetings I need to change the graphic card that came with my computer Pavilion 500-308nrit's GeForce GTX 745 4Gb with GeForce GTX 960now i have couble questions the graghic card that i'm going to buy has a bigger cooling system so is't going to fit inside the case?the GTX 960 require a minimum power supply with 400W so is't gonna be a problem if i changed the power supply?. and is there is a specific power supply that will work better with my PC? and thank you

Hi, The specifications for 500-308nr indicate an external 180 watt power supply supply. Is that true?  If the specifications are correct then you will not be able to install an internal power supply.

  • How to disable the graphics card of my macbook air please?

how to disable the graphics card of my macbook air please?

I'm guessing there is a language issue here.  The graphics card is the actual hardware (chip) in your computer that allows it to create graphics and show them on your display.  There is no way to disable the graphics card on your Air because there would be no way to use it (it would not be able to display anything on any display).  This is a little different on machines with multiple graphics processors, but that's not the case with your Air.  I'd imagine you know what you want to do, we're just having trouble understanding your question.

  • Can I change the graphic card in my Imac 21.5 2012 year

Can I change the graphic card in my Imac 21.5 2012 year.

You can't change the graphics card on 2012 model of iMac (unless you are talking about the THICK iMacs then I don't know). If you do want to change graphics card, then it probably needs expertise on soldering skills. CPU, RAM and HDD/SSD can be changed. The RAM is not soldered in. I have seen someone changed the RAM. Please check iFixit website for information on 2012 iMac:

Also, don't forget that the screen is glued.

  • Can I change the graphic card on Toshiba Satellite S55-A5295 or add more dedicated video RAM?

Hello, I am wondering if it was possible to change my graphics card. Currently its using the basic (Intel HD Graphics 4000/Family). If thats not possible then I'd also like to know if it was possible to dedicate more video RAM since it currently has 64MB out of the total 1696 avaliable graphics memory. And before someone mentions the BIOS option sadly its not shown there. Please let me know if I have any options!

There is no option to change the GPU on this laptop model. As per memory sharing, it is done automatically by the chipset sharing around 10-20% of the physical memory to the graphics memory.
What will you be using the higher ram?
Is it gaming, media editing (video / photo), or 3D editing?

  • Can I change the graphic card on my Satellite A notebook?

Can I change the video card that is originally on to my laptop? And if yes, how?

Unfortunately this is not possible because the GPU chip is fixed and soldered on the motherboard.

  • Removing the Graphics card on a HP Pavillion 590-319na?

I'am try to remove the graphic card and replace it with a new but i can't figure how to remove it from the motherboard its a NVIDIA GeForce GT 705.

According to a user I found on another forum most pci 'locks' are plastic see-saws, you press down, as in the top of your case to the floor down(when standing installed in case). That tips the leg up out of the way of the hook on the pcb. (inside the slot)
Alternately, here is a youtube tutorial on how to do it with a different kind of lock.

    You either need to either:
    1) use the following hack -
    http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/feedback/finalcut_pro_on_oldmacs.html
    or
    2) Upgrade to FCP 5

hi guys..i've got a macbook pro 13 inch with intel hd 3000 graphic card..is there any way to change it to the faster intel hd 4000?

No, it is an integral part of the mother board.  To improve the GPU, your only alternative is to purchase a newer MBP.

  • HT4484 how i change the credit card devices

i have used my credite card for many apple devices, how i can manage that ?

Your credit card will be linked to your iTunes account(s), not to the devices that you've used the account on.
If you want to remove the card form your iTunes account(s), then on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.  If you are doing it on an iOS device (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch) then you could try tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

  • Can I change the graphics card on a HP dv7t Quad Ed.?

I am contemplating ordering a dv7tqe at a reasonably good price thru Costco.  Its equipped with a 1GB GDDR5 Radeon HD 6490.  A friend of mine has a 6770 he's willing to part with.  If I could swap these cards the resulting cost would be significantly better than buying the dv7t  with the 6770 already installed.
    I this doable?

Not recommended as it can void Hardware warranty and can cause damage. Would also imagine it would be very difficualt to accomplish

  • HT2452 Hello... I bough my iMac 2 weeks ago but not happy with the graphic card HD6750M and would like to upgrade to HD6770M wuld it be better for games and in general? Thanks adv brgds Wigor

Hello Would I be able to do myself to change the graphic card. Present one which came with my iMac is Radeon HD6750M but I'm not really happy with it.
What is the advantage to changing to HD6770M?
    Many Thanks for an advice.
    With Kind regards Wigor

The only way for you to upgrade is to return it and bring it back to Apple in 14 days and get your full money back.
The only way to get a better video card is to order a 27 inch iMac with the custom graphics chip option.
I am not sure if you can order this in an Apple store or not. The iMac options are listed on their online ordering site.
The custom GPU is a 1 or 2 GB VRAM GPU. It is only available in the 27 inch screen models.
If it has really been a full two weeks, you need to return this iMac like tomorrow.
Apple won't do the video upgrade for you as this is a non-upgradeable part by Apple standards.
If you attempt to upgrade/replace this GPU yourself, you void your 1 or 3 year AppleCare warranty with no hope of ever getting any free warranty work ever done on this iMac if anything should go wrong.
If your time for a full refund has passed, you need to sell this iMac so you can purchase an iMac with better specs and options.
Other than RAM, iMacs are not user upgradeable and you need to order the right iMac and combination of options options at actual time of purchase.
