How to clone an Items object

I want to clone an Items object! How to do, i don't want to create a new one and copy all data members to the new object!
Is that possible?

I don't thing it will work like this, if you try please let me now!
Otherwise I will say you can do it by saving the item as Xml, changing the code in the Xml file and then loading the file and making Add at the end. This solution I'm sure it works.

Hi,
It's not possible to 'append' a StringItem or a TextField (or any other lcdui.Item object) to a Canvas or GameCanvas. You can only draw lines, draw images, draw text, etc etc, on a Canvas screen. So, you can only 'simulate' the look and feel of a TextField (on a Canvas) by painting it and adding source code for command handling (like key presses). However, this will be quite some work!!
lcdui.Item objects can only be 'appended' to a Form-like Displayable.

Outlook Add-In Mail Item How to use the mailitem object after .send() is called on it?

Hello,
I am developing an outlook add-in, where I have added a custom button to "send & process" the mail item.
I want to first send the mail - by writing
((Outlook._MailItem)mailItem).Send();
but after the mail item is sent, I am unable to process the mail item object.
Could some one please guide, how to tackle this?

I get the above error in Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate when I process my mailItem in the ItemAdd event
handler.
Upon search, the above error seems to be related to Visual Studio but still searching to find a fix for
it.
In the code, I just read the Recepients of the mailItem, save the mailItem as .msg file to a physical
location & upload the .msg file to a FTP location.
Sorry to say, but sharing the code would not be possible due to NDA.

How to call another form ,if option is entered in a text item object ???

hi ,
I am created an application ,where in i press a button which call another form having a menu .
I select any one of the option from the menu ....i enter a number in the text item object of this form ....depending upon what option i have typed .....i would like to call another form ...
My questions are
1) Which trigger of this text item should be enabled,and what code to i write in this trigger ?
2) Since this form is not having any database insert,delete ,update or query (select)
it should directly go to the new form,whose option i provide in the text item .

hey bro, i am assuming that ur text item contains the form name, any relevant trigger can be used for user action, like key-enter, post-change or key-next-item.
to run a form u can use functions call_form or open_form with proper paramters.
if u want to forward the entered text in the item, use global variable for the session.
it doesnt matter if the form contains database items or blocks, all u have to do is run the form.
e.g,

How to specify warehouse in item object using set GL Method by Warehouse

Hi all,

I have a sdk to import item master from excel using item object. In general setting, the default warehouse was not set. Therefore, when the program creates the item master, it will first set GL Method by Item Level in order to take in the warehouse code from the excel file and after the item master created, sdk will change the set GL Method from item level to warehouse using object cos customer wants item to manage by warehouse. This sdk was working fine until recently it upgraded to 2007 whereby the change of set GL Method is no longer available using object except thru B1 interface.

Does anyone know any workaround?

This code is working on 2007. What is the error message you get when you change the G/L method by WH?
Try it to change in SAP B1 GUI an item G/L Method tp WH which has been added via your code , I think settings of G/L Account is missing.....
And check that the Addd all warehouse is not checked in the System Settings.

How to properly change the content of text item object

Working in CS3 here.
I have a collection of text item objects from a grep search.
I want to iterate through the items and possibly change the values depending on a conditional statement.
So say I have a collection myTextObject that contains text item objects from a GREP search

Once I do that, all the other content values in my collection are one byte off. So I am guessing that when the collection is created, Indesign sets a byte limit on the collection and when content is replaced, it sets everything off.
I understand that the collection is built from the beginning of the document so possibly iterating backward would solve the problem?
Any other suggestions here?

Do not know how big or small items in image will be after being printed out

I have just started using photoshop to develop some designs that are meant to be printed on fabric. And then sewn into dresses
While I know how to change the size and scale of the image and canvas. I can not tell how big or small the objects or different elements in the pattern will be when printed out.
For example if I want to have a certain part of the pattern appear on the shoulder of a dress and another on the hem, how do I ensure that they are printed at the right size and in the right place.
I tried printing out one pattern on a meter of fabric and it turn out that it was too big and most of the design will be cut in the process of making the dress. I have no way to determine the dimensions.
Is there a way where I can place a dress outline over an image to check it out or size the individual items inside?

Iam afraid you might run into synchronization issues with it. You are trying to get/set value of property of a sku repository item that is shared across various profiles.
Say one profile A called setPropertyValue("propertyName", value).Now another profile B accesses

There is a chance that profile B getting the value set by Profile A and hence inconsistency.
How about doing this way??
Create PropertyDescriptor in Profile (i.e user item descriptor), pass the attribute CustomCatalogTools in userProfile.xml to that property.

I do not think that oneorder copy is available via BOL. But SAPSDN77 is right about a PPF action: SAP delivers a standard COPY_DOCUMENT action, that you could either customize to appear in your action menu, or even invoke programmatically from a custom button, handled in DO_HANDLE_EVENT method of your view/component controller.
To illustrate the second option, I have pasted necessary logic into a simple SE38 report, attached below (2 parts); you may need to remove COMMIT WORK statement when reusing this sample code, because Interaction Center framework already takes care of commit.

Trying to Clone an array object that contains other objects

I have an employee object with the fields name (String), Salary (Double), and hireDay (Date). Since the date field contains many int fields (year, month etc..), using a straight clone will not work.
What I want to do is copy an array of employees into a new array.
For example:
Employee [] newEmps = (Employee[])OldEmps.clone()
In the employee class, I implement the Cloneable interface and my code so far will copy one Employee. How do I change this to copy an array of empoyees? Specifically, since hireDay contains many fields, a straight super.clone of the array won't work. Here is my clone code:

I ask myself how to determine the business object and the extension type to use to add new fields in a new tab of a specific transaction ? what means each business object, does that correspond to a specific transaction ?
I need to add a new tab in the BaMI business activity in transaction CRMD_ORDER just after the tab 'Actions' at header level.
Could you help me please to determine which business object and extension type I have to select during creation of the project and which business object category I have to select during creation of the extension (wizard) ?

In order to determine what type of transaction you are extending, you will need to look at the customizing for the transaction.
In the IMG:
Goto:
Customer Relationship Management->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types.
You will then choose the transaction defined that you want to extend. If you display the details of the transaction you will find an attribute called:
"Leading Transaction Category". This tells you the general context in which the transaction is used. The other item to view is the assignment of business transaction categories found in the maintenance screen.
This information general corresponds to one of the options that the EEWB will give you on the transaction type.
As far as extensions go, my recommendation is the following:
- Use CUSTOMER_H Customer Header Extensions for any new fields at the header level.
- Use CUSTOMER_I Customer Item Extensions for any new fields at the item level.
Unless you have a specific requirement to extend a segment of the transaction, I recommend placing all new fields in these segments. The CUSTOMER_H & CUSTOMER_I segments are considered "standard" segments, that are already built into all the necessary API structures.
