How to config BSP to run in public network

Dear BSP experts
I am new to BSP development , i have create one BSP application , and test ok in SAP , and got the URL of the BSP ,it can be tested within our company using the URL , but not outside . so do i need to config something so i can run this BSP application anywhere ? and how ? thanks

Hi Jacky,
You need to assign public IP to your SAP system to be accessed from internet (outside your LAN) and the domain name to be assigned to the server and registered in DNS.
Otherwise, use web dispatcher to catch and redirect the requests to SAP server.

My requirement is that, I am need to run the powershell script via a network account. The powershell is called via a script on an ETL tool. When I ask it to print the output of the below command, the output says " Enter
the password of domain\username:".

Hence I had to modify the code to pass the password also in the same command. I am new to powershell scripting and the below command doesn't work.

Thanks for the pointer. Question that I have is I am referencing sqljdbc4.jar in my application, which in turn using sqljdbc_auth.dll.
Which one should i refernce through <nativelib>. Is it sqljdbc4.jar or sqljdbc_auth.dll.
have added the following line to the .jnlp.

But still it is complaining on sqljdbc_audth.dll. If it is sqljdbc_auth.dll, can I use <nativelib> to pass it.
In that case does it need to be signed?. If so,
Is it possible to sign .dll using 'jarsigner'?.

Renaming /sap/public for BSP applications running on WAS 6.20?

/sap/PUBLIC is created by default on the 6.20 WAS, and BSP applications fetch mime objects from /sap/PUBLIC/bsp/sap/public -- is it possible to rename /sap/PUBLIC to something else, like /sap/MYPUBLIC?

An alias would probably work just as well. However, I'm not sure if it will solve the problem we're facing: we have a complex portal running behind a reverse-proxy. Through the portal users access applications on to WASs -- both of them have files referring to /sap/public/...
The problem is that since both are behind a reverse-proxy from the user's side all the requests are made to the same host, and the reverse-proxy has to figure out by looking at the URL to which server it should forward request. So in the case of the applications on the WAS it can't distinguish between one /sap/public and the other.
I'm no BSP programmer -- suppose an alias was created -- am I right to guess that all the references in the BSP files to /sap/public will need to be manually changes to /sap/<new alias>? or is there some way to do it automatically?

Could you show me how to config virtual ip and virtual host after installation.

At the end of the Oracle Clusterware software install a number of Configuration
assistants are run automatically. In that Virtual IP configuration assistant configures the VIPS for you.
To run it manually, To re run vipca run the vipca.bat (root.sh in linux) file from the Oracle clusterware bin directory.Follow the prompts for VIPCA to select the appropriate interface for the public network, and assign the VIPs for each node when prompted. Manually running VIPCA with the same IPs should complete successfully.

If you are talking about the custom search help, please follow the following steps to add a custom search criteria for CIC0.
        1. Run transaction SPRO.
        2. Click on SAP Reference IMG tab on application tool bar.
        3. Select Customer Relationship Management node.
        4. Select Interaction Center Winclient node.
        5. Select Component Configuration node.
        6. Select Visible Components node.
        7. Select Navigation Area node.
        8. Select Define search Profile IMG activity.
        9. Select the relevant Profile, and click on node view search application
             within the locator.
       10. Save the settings.
       11. Back to main tree.
       12. Select define search in locator IMG activity.
       13. Click on Search id node.
       14. Add the search id, text, function module, program name and screen in

I have read documentation the pkcs11.cfg should not be used if doesn't enable HSM.
I am not very familiar with java application server , so maybe it's a stupid question. I am wondering how to config it to avoid error ?

Hello Lewis,
It is always a good idea to run the Validator tool to verify a deployment.
The PKCS11.cfg file referenced below is an optional configuration file, that needs to be present/configured if-and-only-if HSM access needs to be enabled on the server.
The error you are seeing below is not something to be concerned about unless you plan to enable HSM access on the server. The stack trace is a DEBUG level log message. If you notice, the INFO log message suggests that this is not a critical error. When such an error is encountered with the PKCS11 config file, the server automatically defaults to not using HSM.

I am using ati hd 3200 which is integrated with my motherboard. If you are using arch you can download & install through pacman. The package is named like catalyst*. You can install them by issuing as root user
#pacman -Sy
#pacman -S -l | grep -i catalyst

After installation reboot your machine in runlevel 1. (single mode). Ensure "fglrx" module is loaded correctly using
#lsmod | grep -i fglrx
If the resultant output have "fglrx" part the module is loaded correctly. The next step is to create a working /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Backup your current xorg.conf if needed.
#cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bkup
Then issue
#aticonfig --initial --input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf
This will create a new xorg.conf file. Now we can test our confign.
#telinit 3

I got to know from DB49 that some workflow is available in GATP, but as far as I know, there is no such possibility in SNP.
Deployment stock transfer kind of data exists in livecache order series, and it's very tough to manipulate it in some way to suit the approval workflow.
As far as I can propose, you would need to do following (big custom development):
1) Create a custom transaction
2) Read Deployment Stock transfer data in accordance with your selection criteria and display it to the relevant user/approver
3) User would accept/reject the Deployment Stock Transfer. This action is possible in a custom transaction.
4) If Deployment Stock transfer is rejected, delete it from livecache
5) Now when you run TLB, only approved Deployment Stock Transfer would be available to be coverted to STOs.
In the above development, you could create logs/reports as you need for audit kind of purpose.
This won't be a very simple development, but it's possible.
May be someone could give you some better alternative.

In this page you wil have all the system information..
The port no will usually be 50000.
Web AS Java is sufficient.. no other components are necessary for running the web dynrpo application.

When master server in domain2 die, they still work.

How to config JMS queues for non-AQueue products? Only config files?

Assume I have the requirement NOT to use Oracles built-in Aqueue JMS provider but use another (external)product like:
Apache ActiveMQ, JBossMQ, IBM MQseries,... instead.
Can I config these JMS products through OC4Js web browser config web pages as well or am I forced in such cases to use configuration through XML config files?
How do I tell OC4J NOT to use internal JMS Aqueue queues but use other JMS product?

we have the same problem. We are running two non-clustered weblogic servers and
we want to configure only a failover
with the plugin.
We contacte the bea support but we haven't find a solution.
