• How to configure event based ALEAUD?

I am sending idocs from BPM to R/3, and would like to know, whether it is possible to get ALEAUD confirmations back to XI in real time. At present it takes about 10 minutes to get the ALEAUDits back, and that will withhold my BPM in idle.

hi Timo,
there are two ways to do that:
not recommended way (if your SAP doesn't have too much resourses) :
1. schedule RBDSTATE to send aleadus sooner (every 2 - 3 minutes)
better way:
2. inside an any kind of exit (worflow, exit etc) for your IDOC in R3 execute the report RBDSTATE
this way it will be sent right after the idoc will be in SAP

• How to configure which changes in the document triggers Event Handler again

Hi Experts
Due to some reason after creation of Purchase Order, the event handler is not created in EM system. Now is there any way to resend this PO to EM? For example, is it possible to trigger Event Handler by changing some field in PO? If it is possible that way, Could you guide how to configure which changes in the document (PO/SO/Delivery/Shipment) can trigger Event Handler in EM system?
Thanks
Ravi

Hello Ravi,
if you change the PO Header/Item the respective EH should be created if the Relevance condition is fullfilled.
I'm not sure if it also works in the case that you change the PO Header and EH for PO Items will be created.
Best regards,

• How to fire event to generate insert message for the child objects?

We are in process to integrate CRM On Demand and existing Microsoft SQL DB.
We have the following problem:
For ex., we have CRM Object_1 that already synchronized with the SQL DB. CRM also has independent Object_2 and its child Object_2.1
We dicided that we want to connect the Object_2 as child to the Object_1.
The question is how to fire event to generate insert message for the Object_2 and Object_2.1?
What is the best technique? Is it possible to do it by workflow configuration or it needs to be done programmatically?
Thanks,
Dmitry
Edited by: 955827 on Aug 29, 2012 11:57 AM

Hi,
integration events can be generated only via worklow. You will need to create separate workflows for each record type (regardless if it is child or parent) because a workflow for the parent record type will not trigger when a child record is created/ associated. Also, the association workflows will trigger only when the specific event occurs.
There is not way to generate the integrtaion events programatically. They are generated by workflows and are read/ interpreted by a code extension.

• How to configure Seeburger adapter

Hi All,
Can you pls guide me on how to configure adapter? and also why do we need mercerator and converstion agent tools along with see burger adapter?
Can't find any doc on how to configure seeburger adapter!!!
Can someone pls put light on the messageflow when seeburger and these converstion agents are used?
Regards,
Ashish

Hi Ashish,
It is similar like other adapters once it is supplied. But take care about security/firewalls settings.
and also why do we need mercerator and converstion agent tools along with see burger adapter?
>>>Not a mandatory to use along with seeburger.
Can someone pls put light on the messageflow when seeburger and these converstion agents are used?Can't find any doc on how to configure seeburger adapter!!!
>>>Seeburger EDI Adapter provides an EDI solution on internet via HTTP or AS2 to replace the expensive VAN. It provides some pre-built mappings for IDOC to ANSI X12(810,850,855,856 etc.,) and Idoc to EDIFACT(ORDERS,DESADV,INVOIC etc.,) and has the ability to build your own. These pre-defined mappings transform the IDOC-XML to EDI-XML format.
These transformed EDI-XML messages are then converted to EDI specific format using the Seeburger's BIC(Business Integration Converter)adapter. In addition, Seeburger provides adapters like AS2,FTP(EDI specific) and so on to route these EDI messages to external EDI Partners.
Seeburger EDI Adapter leverages SAP XI's Adapter Framework. This Adapter is used to perform conversion between EDI and XML format. It also provides some canned EDI layouts and the ability to build your own. It is used to transfer the EDI message via HTTP or AS2 protocols.
The most direct way of using the Seeburger adapters is to configure the BIC as a module. There is a software component from seeburger called bicmapper which will allow you to do the following:
1. define or import the inbound message metadefinition in various formats ( edifact, xml,...)
2. using a mapping create an xml variant as the output metadefinition or edifact in the other direction.
3. create a one to one mapping between input en output.
4. export the metadata in xsd or sda format for import in XI
5. generate an SDA which can be deployed in XI and used as a module.
Please go through the following links which clearly explains what you want and it also helps you in understanding the same in depth:

• How to configure BODS in network environment with NAT ?

Hi Team,
Now we are working on POC of BO Data Services 4.0 with SI partner and they reported us that a communication error (error code:BODI-1241023) occurred when they started a job from Designer.
They can do it without any problems in the following two cases.
1. from Designer which is installed in the CMS/JobServer machine
2. from Designer which is installed in local PC within internal network (without firewall / NAT)
That is, the cause is Firewall with NAT(Network Address Translation) between Designer and JobServer/CMS.
And, they can log on to CMS/JobServer with NAT environment, however, cann't start a job from Designer.
The port #3500 for JobServer is open. They confirmed that they could log on to the JobServer in the event log
of the JobServer.
That is, Designer -> CMS/JobServer communication is OK, but JobServer -> Designer communication must be NG.
Could you advise us how to configure BODS both client and server sides in the network environment with NAT ?
Thanks and best regards,

HI Buddy,
You can achieve this by $FLEX$, create first value set, and assign it to first field. Create second value set based on first value set using $FLEX$.

• How to configure iTunes for travel with an iPhone?

While I keep iTunes and iPhone on my primary iMac, I'm going to be doing some travel and will need to make adjustments for keeping my iPhone backed up on a new MacBook Pro I'll be taking with me. I do not want to add any songs from my current iTunes library or pictures from iPhoto to the MacBook Pro as these are both already on my iPhone.
However, I need to know how to configure iTunes on the MacBook Pro with just a bare installation so I can keep my iPhone apps in it and make a backup every night, but not lose the pictures and music currently on the iPhone. IOW, I want the iPhone to remain unchanged (keeping the pictures and songs), but simply backup only the apps each night when I plug it in. I'll unplug it after the backup and use a regular charger and switch users on the MBP so my wife can do the same with her iPhone.
The only reason for doing this is insurance while traveling that if we need to restore our apps for any reason on either phone, we'll have the backup on the MBP. I'm concerned that if I uncheck photos and music on the MBP iTunes sync area, I'll lose them both on the iPhone until I return home and sync again with the primary iMac. Thanks for any tips.

The accelerometer on the iPhone is designed to respond to normal gravity forces on the surface of the Earth. However, I have found that the behavior of the accelerometer changes dramatically under other gravitational conditions.
For a great laugh, if you take someone who has just bought an iPhone to a higher-gravity environment, Jupiter for example, and ask them to rotate their iPhone while using Safari, the overloaded springs in the accelerometer will only sluggishly switch the screen from vertical to horizontal.
Their expression will say it all: "wait a second, I just bought this thing, and you're telling me it doesn't just snap to horizontal like in the commerciall??!!"
"Relax, dude, you're on Jupiter! It works great on Earth."
It's a hilarious gag. Gets them every time.
To really mess with someone's head... I took a buddy of mine to the event horizon of a supermassive black hole where the gravity waves were so great the accelerometer was completely overhwelmed and unresponsive. The screen simply would not change from vertical to horizontal no matter how long you waited. Well! You should have seen my buddy's face. He had bought the iPhone the day before and was just about ready to return it even if it meant swallowing the restocking fee!!! It was hilarious.

• Configure Event Callbacks in test stand using labview

Hi,
I was going through Full OI - Configure Event Callbacks.vi in the test stand example. Can you please explain me how the vi works and what is techniwue behind it?
When i open the individual VI's in the reference, I could see more that 1 control in the front panel. But Only the user parameter is wired in the vi? Why is it so?
Regards
Gopal

Hi Gopal,
When the TestStand Engine fires events, this VI specifies how your Operator Interface will respond. For example, let's examine the first event callback registered in Full OI - Configure Event Callbacks.vi , Exit Application. When the TestStand Engine receives the message to shutdown, and then finishes its neccessary shutdown procedures, it will send a message to the Operator Interface. For the Operator Interface to receive this message, it must "listen" for it. In LabVIEW, this is done by Registering an Event Callback. See the links below for details on how to implement this.
The answer to your specific question is in step 7 of the first link below. When TestStand sends the message to LabVIEW, there is information that is always passed. The other input controls contain this information. To create a VI that always includes these controls, right-click on the VI Ref input to the Reg Event Callback Property Node, and then select Create Callback VI.
Here are two references that talk about handling ActiveX callbacks in LabVIEW in general:

Register Event Callback (Not in Base Package)

• How to configure IPS 4240 - K9 to send log file to syslog server

I am looking for the commands in how to configure IPS 4240-k9 to send log file to SYSLOG server. If anybody has or came across similer issue please advice.
Thanks in advanced.

Ali -
I am sorry to tell you, but the Cisco IPS Sensors do not send Syslog messages. Your only options for sending signature event information are:
SDEE (an TLS Encrypted XML formatted message) the sensor is the SDEE Host and your event receiver (MARS, IME, Intelitactics, etc) is the client.
SNMP Traps - You need to set the "Action" on each signature you want the sensor to send a trap.

• How to configure V240 auto-boot after power failure?

Hi!
How to configure automatic boot of V240 machine after power failure? After power gets resored, V240 remains in standby mode and one has to press button on front to power it up. It is not convinient because power failure can occur, for example, at night and the machine is not booted until the first user awakens :)

Uhh... I've found publicly accessible document http://docs.sun.com/source/817-5481-11/variables.html :
Looks like this variable controls auto-power-up behaviour:
sc_powerstatememory
The sc_powerstatememory variable enables you to specify the state of the host server as false (keep the host server off) or true (return the server to the state it was in when the power was removed). This is useful in the event of a power failure, or if you physically move the server to a different location.
For example, if the host server is running when power is lost and the sc_powerstatememory variable is set to false, the host server remains off when power is restored. If the sc_powerstatememory variable is set to true, the host server restarts when the power is restored.
The values for this variable are as follows.
true - "Remembers" the state of the host server when power was removed and returns the server to that state when power is reapplied.
false - Keeps the server off when power is applied.

• How to configure channels with Spring-Flex?

Newbie here trying to get my first Flex/BlazeDS app up and running. I'm using the Spring-Flex integration and believe I have properly configured my servet and remoting destinations. My only remaining questions relate to how to configure the channels.
The use of the Spring/BlazeDS integration means that I do not have to have a remoting-config.xml file anymore. But it the documentation is unclear as to whether I need to configure my channels within a services-config.xml file still.
If I do need a services-config.xml file (and I think I do), how does one get away without hard coding the server URL? I've seen samples on the web like:
url="https://\{server.name\}:\{server.port\}/flex2gateway/cfamfsecure"
But I don't get when/where/what does the dynamic substituion? They almost look like Maven or Spring properties, but they can't be. Is this just something that has to be manually changed after installation?
Finally, I really don't like the idea of compiling the Flex client against a server-side configuration file as I have seen suggested on the web. How would one go about have the Flex client discover - or otherwise figure out what it needs to do dynamically?
Sorry for the multi-question post....thanks for any help!

You could load that info from an XML file as described below. I took this from the doc.
To further externalize configuration, you can pass the endpoint URL value to the client at runtime. One way to do this is by reading a configuration file with an HTTPService component at application startup. The configuration file includes the information to programmatically create a channel set at runtime. You can use E4X syntax to get information from the configuration file.
The following MXML application shows this configuration file technique:

<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
applicationComplete="configSrv.send()">
<mx:Script>

import mx.controls.Alert;
import mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel;
import mx.messaging.ChannelSet;
import mx.rpc.events.ResultEvent;
private var channelSet:ChannelSet;
private function configResultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void
var xml:XML = event.result as XML;
var amfEndpoint:String = "" + xml..channel.(@id=="amf").@endpoint;
if (amfEndpoint == "")
Alert.show("amf channel not configured", "Error");
else
channelSet = new ChannelSet();
var channel:AMFChannel = new AMFChannel("my-amf", amfEndpoint);
channelSet.addChannel(channel);
ro.channelSet = channelSet;
ro.getProducts();

</mx:Script>
<mx:HTTPService id="configSrv" url="config.xml" resultFormat="e4x" result="configResultHandler(event)"/>
<mx:RemoteObject id="ro" destination="product"/>
<mx:DataGrid dataProvider="{ro.getProducts.lastResult}" width="100%" height="100%"/>
</mx:Application>
The MXML application reads the following configuration file:

<config>
<channels>

</channels>
</config>
