How to configure IPM alert in IPM 2.6 for Windows?

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to configure IPM to send out an alert when the performace reaches or falls beyond certain threshold? In this case, I am trying to create a new HTTP operation. On the General tab > Latency Threshold Settings > Action Event Type, I select SNMP Trap & NMVT Alert. However, I did not see an option to configure where the alerts will be sent to, as well as, other alert settings. Thank you in advance.

IPM does not send out the alerts itself. Instead, the device will send an SNMP trap if the trigger condition is met. Where these traps are sent depends on your device configuration. Make sure you have defined at least one trap recipient on your IP SLA source device, and make sure that you have configured:
snmp-server enable traps rtr

The concept and function of notification rules has been replaced with a two-tier system consisting of Incident Rules and Incident Rule Sets :

By using incident rules, you can automate the response to incoming incidents and their updates.
A rule contains a set of automated actions to be taken on specific events, incidents or problems.

2. Incident Rule Set: A rule set is a collection of rules that applies to a common set of objects, for example, targets, jobs, and templates.

How to Configure VPN in RV016 using Qucik VPN for Windows 7 and Windows 8?

Hi guys,
we have Cisco RV016 VPN Router configured with local subnet of 10.10.10.0/24 and one Static IP 117.218.xxx.xxx.for Local Gateway which is connected in WAN1 interface of RV016 Router.
I have created the VPN tunnel in client to gateway as well as group vpn and created the users as well.
i bounded the protocols for IP sec UDP500,UDP4500,TCP 10000,L2TP 1701 in dual wan page.
i enabled all the firewall rules except remote management.
I am using the quick vpn client in windows 7 machine which is connected but i unable to access the LAN devices like Host,printer,camera etc.
I used the qucik vpn in windows 8 machine its says "Remote gateway not responding.do u want wait? "
i will be happy and will appriciate if you guys give right solution

All,
Is there a way how to configure an alert when the communication channel stops.
<b>Scenario:</b>
In the path Runtime workbench->Component Monitoring->Adapter Engine->Communication Channel monitoring, if we see that a communication channel has stopped(RED traffic light as Status), then can we trigger an alert notification for same.
Currently we have alrerts configured for any message/s failure in the JMS Adapter Framework. So can we trigger simmilar alerts when a comm channel stops(for whatever reason).

Thanks for the quick reply.
We have a scenario where we activate individual channels at a given time. So in this case, Adapter will always be in RED as all queues are never running in our scenario.
So we need an ALERT to be triggered for individual comm channels. Is theer any way that you can think of ?

Mail Database/Server Name:172.16.0.6

In Accounts:

Anything need to configure because after submitting a request It is showing that request is successfully completed but not receiving mail.

in case you have not yet set up your monitoring infrastructure, the following link will provide you with the information needed:

If everything is set up (Agents are installed and connected to your central monitoring system, ...) you can go to transaction RZ21, select Technical Infrastructure - Configure Central System - Assign Central Autoreactions to set up your alerts.
For the Update errors use the MTE CLass AbapErrorInUpdate. For the Lock please use the search Option.

How do I get the latest download of itunes for windows 7

So I have windows 7 and I've got the notification for the latest up date for iTunes and I tried to download it several times but always said error. So I decided to uninstall it and install iTunes again but now when I'm trying to reinstall it, my computer says it already exist in my computer when I've uninstalled iTunes and deleted all files linking to it and yet it still says that iTunes exist. What should I do now I cant live with out my iTunes???????

As of August 2013 this DOES NOT WORK with the Windows 8 version. To prove: Start a text chat, let both parties create a few messages. Follow method for clearing chat (Windows-C, Settings, Options, Clear History) Go back into Skype chat of same person as before Entire history is still there. Shut down PC and restart. Go into Skype. Open chat window for same user. Entire history is still there. Install Skype for Desktop Log on Go into settings, IM/SMS Set history to "do not save history" Clear history Log off Skype for Desktop Go back into Skype Windows 8 version History all still there. DO NOT KEEP TELLING US THIS SOLUTION - IT DOES NOT WORK. You demonstrate that you're more interested in getting points in here than actually testing the supposed solution you suggest. If you had, you'd know IT DOES NOT WORK.

Hi!!! I have CiscoWorks 2000 Rwan with IPM. I installed and configure IPM to send snmp traps when the treshold is excedeed. I can see on the graph that it is exceeded but I can not verify that it sending snmp traps.Where to view these traps and how to configure snmp reciver host?
Can I use CW2k syslog analyzer automated action to generate mail when get this trap?

But, you'll need to specify a dedicated NMS
server to receive these traps. The following

How to configure email alerts on SBS 2011

It was kind of annoying, but SBS 2003 could send email alerts for all kinds of conditions. The alert function is no longer there in SBS 2011. Is there any way to configure these alerts - like when the server restarts - or the Exchange Store has
shut down, etc.

I am 12 months on from replacing SBS 2003 with SBS 2011 at one site, SBS 2012 at another and SBS 2008 at a third. Its just me and around 250 users in about 7 countries and 3 continents - such is the charity sector. I have not had the time to
research automatic alerts up till now and missed a failing backup as a result. Your article is very helpful. I hadn't put my email address in the box that you indicated. Its been a great puzzle to me that the level of reporting was so abysmal
after the change to the later generation of SBS, but the pressure of work never allowed time to check. False economy I would say, now, but thanks for this very clear and helpful item.

It's a good idea, but currently it's not yet supported.
In Work Center, there is no predefined (nor a hidden) link shipped by SAP to access the Solution Database for key users.
With a future EhP for Solution Manager, you might get an integration of the Solution Database into the message processing Web UI.

Hi I would like to know how to configure my 3 HardDrives (600GB each) on RAID 5 connected to SAS controller to work smoothly with PremierePro CS4. Mainly to store scratch disk, and all preview files, etc.. At present it shows as one big hard drive in C:\ It shows as follows: OS(C 0.98 TB free of 1.08TB I would like to have at least one HDD out of 3 to store my scratch disk files and preview files... I have installed only CS4 Master Collection + Windows 7 64bit Ultimate as OS in this machine. Following is my system configuration: Intel Xeon E5620, 2.4GHz processor/12M Cache, 5.86GT/S, QPI, Turbo, HT, 4C Intel 5520 Chipset 12GB DDR3 RDIMM Memory,1333MHz, ECC Three 600GB (15000rpm) SAS HardDrives Perc6/i SAS/SATA Harware RAID card All SAS Drives, RAID 5, 3 drive configuration BlueRayBurner1GB PCIe X16 nVidia Quadro FX3800 ,Dual monitor DP+1 DVI Capable I am in a little bit strife on this. You even have three more connectors free on your Perc controller, so you could add three more disks, without using any motherboard connectors.
I think you have two alternative approaches:
1. Add a smallish disk as a boot disk, i.e. a 150 GB Velociraptor and install OS and programs there and let your raid5 exist as it is, or
2. Add another 600 GB to your raid5 to make it a four disk array.
Of course you could also do both. Breaking the raid out to individual disks means that all data on the current raid will be lost, unless you have a backup available, but it will still mean a fresh install of OS & programs, so remember to deactivate Adobe before you do anything to your disk setup like in alternative 1 or breaking out the array.
