How to Configure IPMP on Control Domain?

Dear All i am configuring IPMP in Control Domain:
and what i need to know exactly is how to setup the routing in the control domain to allaow the vsw to see the IPMP configration on physical network.
this is my config now:

the proplem is that i can access VSW2 becuse i was not able to configure the control domain IPMP interfaces to work as a router.
Can some one help me with it???plz

I believe you'd need to do something similar to the following:
In the Control Domain:
# routeadm -e ipv4-forwarding
# routeadm -e ipv4-routing
# routeadm -u
In the Guest Domain:
# ifconfig vnet0 plumb
# ifconfig vnet0 10.1.111.226 netmask + broadcast + up
# route add default 10.1.111.221
(Assuming the guest's IP is 10.1.111.226)
Also, I know you didn't ask, but just in case you don't know, aggregated links created by dladm can be turned into virtual switches directly (not the same as IPMP I know, but depending on your use case it might provide the same abilities).

I can configure and access the Grid Control Console by emca for first database, but cannot configure for the second one, unless I remove the first one configurration. How can I configure EM for more than one databases?

Yes, I'm talking about DBConsole rather than Grid Control (sorry for misuse the term). I managed to set up DB Console for every DB in the same Linux box (10Rel1). What I did is:
1) stop db console and agent with emctl
2) remove repository with RepManager
3) config with emca
Then I can monitor individual databases from my PC (but have to login with different port).
I'm thinking mybe I should use Grid Control instead.

How to configure IPMP and PFIL/IPF to work together on Solaris 9?

See the subject regarding my question.
Is there anyone who has ever accomplished this on Solaris 9? If so, what version of IPMP and PFIL/IPF did you use, and what steps did you take to make it work?
I just can't get it to work, I have tried all tips and tricks I could find on the web so far, most of them are regarding Solaris 10.

Not sure what you mean with IPMP, but if you mean active-active loadsharing among more than one interface in the same ifconfig group and subnet monitored by mpathd,
I'm afraid you can't do that with ipf (AFAIK), as the states (from "keep state") are stored per interface while packets may come in and go out unpredictedly and asymetricly on any relevant interface. You must configure active-standby in /etc/hostname.* (or configure 100% static (stateless) rules, i.e. no "keep state" (or pass in&out all TCP with the established flag set)).
I have used active-standby a lot on T1, E450, V480 etc. I compiled ip_filter from Darren's source 3.4 and 4.1
Note: V210/240 and others with the bge-driver may cause problems as the bge-driver is (was) broken, in the way that the stand-by interface isn't 100% stanby (only 99% standby).
Last I checked with snoop it showed sporadic ssh-packets on the stanby-interface making the session hang for a while or timeout. I had to "ifconfig down" the standby interfaces on all V210/240s thus breaking automatic failover.
Active sessions will hang and timeout on failover, but that is ususally only a problem for long-lived sessions like ssh, and no problem for short lived/retry/reconnecting protocol-sessions like HTTP, DNS etc.

There is no default for those entries. you need to set it up manually by using the custom label.

I am trying to configure IPMP with 2 zones on Solaris 10 but it seems that an interface has failed.

How to configure Solaris 10 IPMP for Oracle VDI 3.3.2

Hi,
Does anyone have an indication on how to configure Solaris 10 IPMP in a manner that supports Oracle VDI?
We have setup two servers with 2 test addresses on physical and 1 logical for the hostname of the box, but when we configure VDI the VDI database does not come up on the 2nd box. We have also tried configuring IPMP without test addresses, but it doesn't make any difference - the DB still doesn't go into the up state after configuration on the 2nd server.
Solaris 10 u9 with patches
Two physical NICs on management VLAN via 2 switches
Two physical NIcs on VDI VLAN via 2 switches
VDI 3.3.2
All hostnames are in DNS and resolve for short name, FQDN and also reverse IP lookup
The is a proposal pdf on Oracle website that mentions IPMP, so someone has done it. Just could do with a hint on how it was done so that it works.

OK, updating this with what was causing the issue.
Not an IPMP problem this was a DNS problem. The VDI servers have access to two DNS environments, so had a DNS search path that had the domain where the VMs where going to go and another for management of the box with two DNS servers listed in /etc/resolv.conf.
We configured VDI using the FQDN for the management DNS, however the vda-config script takes the hostname of the box adds the first DNS domain from /etc/resolv.conf search entry and configures using (it seams to ignore what you put into the vda-config). When the config script comes to configuring MySQL because the names didn't match (FQDN it created by adding hostname to the 1st entry in DNS search path & FQDN that you put into vda-config command), it decides that it is configuring a "Client MySQL" instance rather than a "Slave MySQL" instance, which means the VDA DB never comes up in the out of vda-center status.
So the fix is to:
1) configure IPMP without test addresses (so traffic comes out of the correct IP and can be reverse looked up in DNS by the other host)
2) if you have multiple DNS search entries, configure VDI using the first entry in your search path as its FQDN

I saw a note, which says the following:
"WebLogic Server does not support multi-domain interaction using either the Administration Console, the weblogic.Admin utility, or WebLogic Ant tasks. This restriction does not, however, explicitly preclude a user written Java application from accessing multiple domains simultaneously."
In my case, I just want to list all the domains, is that possible by using any scripts?

If you use WLS Node Manager and the Config Wizard was used to create the domains, then the list of domains should be in a location like this:
<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>\wlserver_10.3\common\nodemanager\nodemanager.domains
Enterprise Manager Grid Control also has support for multi-domain management of WLS in a console.

I would like to configure only the service Apache, FTP, MySQL.
My internet provider, today provided me 4 static IPs IPv4 and 4 IPv6, to use, now I want also to configure two local DNS if possible:

IPv6:
www6.mydomain.com
For if I can configure DNS in Dual Stack or if I have to record them in a different way.
A control panel is currently not able to find it, you can advise me if something is well accepted, the important it is for business use as I would like to configure the server is for private use.

To be clear, in your example you only have one domain - mydomain.com - all the other entries are just host records within that domain.
For your IPv4 hosts just add standard A records:
ftp A 1.2.3.4
www A 1.2.3.5
mysql A 1.2.3.6
For your IPv6 hosts just add AAAA records:
www6 AAAA 1234::ab:cd:ef
I seriously doubt you want to put your MySQL server on a public IP address, though, so I'd look carefully at your network setup before going much further.

The fact is that we work on OSB 11, not directly in WebLogic.
And Osb always modify the WTC configuration even if we modify it before in weblogic.
To define a business service with multiple remote access points and apply a load balancing algorythm, Osb need an URI for each remote access point (not for each imported service).

You could have that domain resolving to/by some DNS servers and set up a load balancer / proxy to redirect every incoming request to that domain / site to your weblogic console.
however , what is it you are trying to do? It is very unsual of redirecting/ using Domain names to redirect to wls consoles.

Cannot configure trust at AD level. But in the config article, following points are given.. but not clear on first 2 steps. Also, we did not find option to "navigate to certificate template and right click certificate templates".
sorry, i dont have much exp with certificates. If steps are described little more clear, would be helpful.
a. If your Service Manager management server does not have a trusted relationship with the Exchange Server, open Certificate Services and create a duplicate copy of the Web Server Certificate Template. Ensure that Private Key Export and Publish
in AD are selected, and then add Read and Enroll permission to Authenticated Users.
b. In Certificate Services, navigate to Certificate Template and right-click Certificate Templates. Click New and then click Certificate Template to Issue. Select the template that you created in the previous step.
c. In Exchange Server, open the Microsoft Management Console and add the Certificates snap-in for the local computer. Right-click the Personal logical store, and then hover over All Tasks.
d. Select Request for New certificate and in the Certificate Enrollment wizard, select Active Directory Enrollment Policy and select the template that you created previously. When you select the certificate, you can click More Information to type
the Exchange Server’s FQDN name as the common name in the Subject tab. You can also type the FQDN name as the Friendly Name in the General tab.

How to configure secondary domain controller read only, but prevent write in replication?

I have one primary Domain controller (dc1.abc.local) at site, production mode.
I am trying to do some Proof of Concept with the firewall appliance, which the user datastore need extract and bind to AD.
I am thinking setup another new computer and promote it domain controller (new.abc.local), same domain, same forest. But this only can read the configuration replicate from primary Domain controller (dc1.abc.local) but cannot write.
Firewall will use the ID agent to pull the log event from the DC and do the IP mapping table (User - IP).
What is the setting i need to on both domain controller?
p.s: one criteria i cannot set this server role as RODC.
