How to configure XSQL-Servlet with Weblogic 6.0
Hi,
what are the steps to configure the xsql-servlet? I downloaded ora xdk 9.2 and getting the following error when requesting demo via url= http://localhost:7001/xsql/home.xsql:
Oracle XDK Java 9.2.0.6.0 Production
XSQL-001: Cannot locate requested XSQL file. Check the name.
In general, I can't run either demo that came with XDK... please help!
Vipul,
Can you try adding them as the first entry in the classpath in the
startWebLogic.smd file.

How to configure IIS webserver with weblogic so that I can
invoke servlets without the .wlforward extension
As per the documentation iisforward.dll is registered as a filter and .wlforward
has also been
included as a special file type. However this requires me to key-in ".wlforward"
after my servlet name.
What I want is something like this
http://iis/MyServlet
Please help me find a solution to this
Thanks,
RishiI am able to invoke the servlet without the wlforward extension now.
However, now I am required to add /weblogic before the servlet
name otherwise it does not execute the pathtrim property.
I have tried with the pathprepend thing also.
Can we get rid of the /weblogic part also. I just want to execute
my servlet as http://iis/myServlet.
Your help in this regard is greatly appreciated...
Thanks..

Thanks for the reply Kumar.
I did follow the instructions as given in the Weblogic documentation
The documentation said to add iisforward.dll as a filter service
and register .wlforward as a special
file type to be handled by iisproxy.dll. For this,
while configuring the IIS server in the Home Directory tab
I added an extension ".wlforward" and the executable as
iisproxy.dll. Is this the way it should have been done...
I also modified the iisproxy.ini file as per the documentation.
I have added the WLForwardPath property and set it to /weblogic.
My server works fine when I give the url as
http://iis/myServlet.wlforward
but it does not work for
http://iis/myServlet and this is the way i'd want it to work.
Please tell me if I am missing something on the configuration part
and if there is something special that needs to be done. I shall
be grateful to you.

How to Configure a Servlet Chain Using MIME Types with weblogic5.1?
Hi ,
I want to configure a servlet(cocoon) in weblogic 5.1 such that the
servlet so configured is invoked each
time a response with the mime-type "text/xml" is generated.
1.) will weblogic support to configure a servlet with a particular
mime-type so that it post-process any
servlet's response with the corresponding mime-type?
2.) if not what is the alternative?
Thanks
sumanth

We suggest that use the request dispatcher interface instead. Servlet
chaining is not a standard's based possibility.

Qosmio F60-L10 - How to configure tv tuner with integrated antenna?
good evening,
i have a notebook toshiba qosmio f60 ,i had read your answer about tv tuner.
my question is : how to configure tv tuner with integrated antenna? thanksHi 3171954,
I think Paolo30 is right. Qosmio F60 is equipped with internal DVB-T but in some cases you need an external antenna to pick up the low signal. In most cases only in large citys you dont need an external antenna. If you live on the fringe of the city, normally a cable is needed.
Anyway, do you mean an external antenna or external DVB-T receiver (USB stick)?
Normally Windows media center should recognize the internal DVB-T tuner. Is it listed in device manager? Did you update the driver? -

if you r working in Sap enterprise portal use for connection url
jdbc:sap:sqlserver://ilsql01.tlv.sap.corp:1433;DatabaseName=Northwind
ilsql01.tlv.sap.corp:1433 this is your portal url with port number
Northwind is your database name.
for dirver you need to give
com.sap.portals.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
in case if you r working on other than sap say windows along with oracle try to use
Connection URL as jdbc:oracle:<drivertype>:@<database>
Driver name as oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
ex jdbc:oracle:thick:@localhost:3036:mydb
Oracle implements two types of JDBC drivers:
Thick JDBC drivers built on top of the C-based Net8 client, as well as a Thin (Pure Java) JDBC driver to support downloadable applets. Oracle JDBC drivers are used to create JDBC applications to communicate with Oracle databases.
Oracle extensions to JDBC include the following features:
Data access and manipulation
LOB access and manipulation
Oracle object type mapping
Object reference access and manipulation
Array access and manipulation

How to configure applet/servlet in Tomcat?
I'm building a web application which is going to be deployed in Tomcat. I have an applet(called MYAPPLET here) which "calls" a servlet(called MYSERVLET here). I cannot figure out how to configure the whole thing.
/test is my docbase. In /test I made a directory "applet classes" and a directory "servlet". The applet tag I use in the HTML file looks like this:
<applet
code="MYAPPLET.class"
codebase="http://localhost:8080/test/applet classes/"
<!-- Tell the applet where its peer is located -->
<param
name="servlet"
value="http://localhost:8080/test/servlet/MYSERVLET" />
</applet>
Now, when opening the page, the applet can be found but Tomcat gives an error 404 saying that it can not find the servlet. On the other hand, If I make an entry in my web.xml (with url mapping
<url-pattern>/test </url-pattern> or <url-pattern>/test/servlet </url-pattern>, depending on where I put MYSERVLET)
for the servlet mentioned above and I put the MYSERVLET in either the WEB-INF/classes directory or in /test/servlet Tomcat gives an error 403. It refuses to connect to the servlet!
Please can anyone help me. THanx in advance
debeumersYou are configuring Tomcat and if you have further questions then post new questions in the forum "Java Servlet Technology".
Given that your servlet url is "localhost:8080/test/servlet/MyServlet"
This assumes -
1) You have created a web application called "test". You have a directory called "test" under- $CATALINA_HOME/webapps
2) Your html files, jsp files, and subdirectory "applet-classes" (Note - do Not use spaces when naming directories) exist in this top level directory of your web app. If you choose to place your applet classes in this subdir then the codebase can be "applet-classes" - omitting the "/" means this directory is located relative to the current directory of the html file. (No jar files? No archive param then..)
3) You have a class file called "MyServlet" located - $CATALINA_HOME/webapps/test/WEB-INF/classes
Some versions of Tomcat require you to uncomment out the area of the Mapping for the Invoker Servlet element in $CAT_HOME/conf/web.xml.
<servlet-name>invoker</servlet-name>
<url-mapping>/servlet/*</url-mapping>
Once this is done, you need not create a directory called "servlet" anywhere in your structure. It is the url mapping.
You will want to apply url-patterns and mappings to your application specific web.xml (This is located in - $C_H/webapps/test/WEB-INF) when it comes time to deploy the app, but that is not required for testing and development. You need not make changes to the app specific web.xml at this time just to get the servlet to run.
And finally I suggest you read a book on this subject... -
How to run a servlet with jboss
Hello everybody my name is Noe I'm new in the forums . I want some information about how to configure and run a servlet and a jsp for the jboss server . Please help me, I have about 4 days searching information about this, and there is few information or the tutorials that I read were insuficient. I need one tutorial step by step or someone that explain me how to do this. Please help me with this
Thank's a lot.Which error do you get!
If you just want to run jsps and servlets the you should use tomcat instead of jboss.
jboss is an aplication server that uses tomcat and adds an EJB container.
usually you use a build.xml file to run deployment scripts but if not, then you can manually copy the project folder into the jboss --> instance ---> web zone (I said this way because I dont remember the exactly folder)
Another thing is that you must have the project estructure built on the correct way defined by the estandar. I mean the WEB-INF folder, the web.xml file, the classes folder, etc.
next time yo may consider to post this on the j2ee section.
a web.xml file.
What problem do you exactly have when doing this, you cant ask for a tutorial step by step, but punctual things. Try it and if you cant then ask. -
How is ATG-Data utilized with weblogic compared to Jboss?
Greetings,
I have expertise with ATG on Jboss and am new to WebLogic. So far so good but I have a few questions that I have not been able to answer on my own.
How does WebLogic handle ATG-Data? I have set the server start options within config.xml for each instance - the java options for module list, server name, atg data directory location and memory requirements as I normally do with the run.conf for jboss. However, nothing gets populated in the ATG-Data directory when starting up the servers. On set runassembler with standalone and liveconfig on as well. (understanding that i can use pack and standalone together with weblogic).
Any ideas what I could be missing?
Thanks!
-KipOK I got ATG-Data directory working as I was expecting. Seems CIM was my hindrance. I scrapped the managed servers that CIM created for me and recreated them from admin console and then redeployed the -standalone ears using nostage deployment plan.
With this I now get ATG-Data directory where I wanted it: /opt/Oracle/ATG-Data/servers/store-a/localconfig (last entry for config layer in the store-a.out log)
This ATG-Data directory is configured in the domains config.xml for server-start arguments under the managed server group.
-Xms1280m -Xmx1280m -Xmn256m -XX:PermSize=512m -Datg.dynamo.data-dir=/opt/Oracle/ATG-Data -Datg.dynamo.server.name=store-a
This is progress!
However, the module list shows all modules that were applied during runassembler for that atg server in the log - I am unable to override the module startup list with -Datg.dynamo.modules= within server start arguments.
The reason I want to override the list is because I prefer to use the same ATGProduction ear for lock manager and procedit servers without requirement them to load all the modules that were assembled in the ear.
I appreciate any tips or suggestions for best practices!
Thanks!

How to debug web app with weblogic?
I wrote a web app that includes jsp files and some javabeans, then I put the jsp files to directory
mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp
then I complied javabeans and put those classes to
mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp\WEB-INF\classes
Then I start the weblogic,it runs very well.
I modified some javabean, complie them and put classes override the old classes,
but the web app can not find the new classes.
Any one know How to debug web app(with javabeans) in weblogic?
thanks!how to config the hot deploy?
thxSorry, for this delay in responding. I had set notify me with email option in Watch This topic; but I never did get any email notification.
I use wls6.1; I think the process may be very similar to this in wls8.x. In wls6.1 (sp5), this is done via the -
Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=False or
Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=True
in the startup cmd/sh script. Out of the box, wls6.1 is set to Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=False which automatically enables hot deploys. -
How to configure quality process with batch management.
Dear Friends,
we have a scenario,our client receive goods with 101movement type into quality inspection stock.
once stock is passed quality check stock,then we will take into unrestricted stock with 321 movement type.
failed in quality test will be rejected.please give me suggestion how to map the scenario.while i am testing
the process in my sandbox,its asking batch number.its not allowing me to post unrestricted stock with 321
movement type.how to make batch as optional in this scenario?if batch is mainted for the material,how to
configure the process.we are not using QM module.
please suggest me.
Regards,
VarunIn Batch management config in Logistic general, Check for the movement type 101 & 321 whether batch creation has been activated to Manual, Automatic, or no creation. In your case it looks like for mvt 321 batch creation is set to manual & for 101 no creation.
if batch creation is set to manual, enter a manual batch no & proceed.
But to cross verify wheter 101 has generated batch or not please check the stocks in MMBE.
Hope this helps.

A problem with servlets with WebLogic 4.5.1 SP11
Hello,
We have developed a client that connects to servlets in WebLogic 4.5.1. Some of the servlets use sessions to store data, and they receive some parameters from the client to retrieve information from a database.
When we use WebLogic 4.5.1, everything works fine. However, when we upgrade it to Service Pack 11, we find a problem. If we make a servlet that receives some parameters, but it does no use sessions, everything is correct. If we make a servlet that does not receive any parameter, and we use sessions, we find no problem either. But if we make a servlet that receives parameters and uses sessions within the doPost() method, there is an exception when we call the method Request.getSession(true).
I would thank any help about this point, since I'm not sure if this is the result of a bug, or if there is a new parameter that we have to set in the file weblogic.properties, or any other reason.
The code of our servlet is as simple as follows:
public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws IOException {
ObjectInputStream in = new ObjectInputStream(request.getInputStream());
String arg = null;
String arg2 = null;
String arg3 = null;
try{
arg = (String)in.readObject();
arg2 = (String)in.readObject();
arg3 = (String)in.readObject();
}catch(Exception e){
// Get the session and the counter param attribute
HttpSession session = request.getSession(true);
// WE GET THE EXCEPTION AT THIS POINT.
Integer ival = (Integer) session.getValue("simplesession.counter");
if (ival == null)
// Initialize the counter
ival = new Integer(1);
else
// Increment the counter
ival = new Integer(ival.intValue() + 1);
// Set the new attribute value in the session
session.putValue("simplesession.counter", ival);
// Output data
ObjectOutputStream out = new ObjectOutputStream(response.getOutputStream());
out.writeObject(ival);
out.close();
On the other hand, the client invokes the serlvets using the following code:
public int servletClient(String usuario,String password) {
int numero = 0;
try{
// Input parameters
Serializable[] objs = {"login",usuario, password};
// Invokes the servlet
ObjectInputStream in = ServletWriter.postObjects(urlServlet, objs); // SEE BELOW...
// Get the results
numero = ((Integer)in.readObject()).intValue();
in.close();
}catch(Exception e){
e.printStackTrace();
static public ObjectInputStream postObjects(URL servlet, Serializable objs[]) throws Exception
URLConnection con = servlet.openConnection();
con.setDoInput(true);
con.setDoOutput(true);
con.setUseCaches(false);
con.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
// Write the arguments as post data
ObjectOutputStream out = new ObjectOutputStream(con.getOutputStream());
int numObjects = objs.length;
for (int x = 0; x < numObjects; x++) {
out.writeObject(objs[x]);
out.flush();
out.close();
return new ObjectInputStream( con.getInputStream() );
