How to connect other mobile web browser to java application.

I'm trying to write an application in j2me and wondering how can i take the requested url from the default web browser of mobile phone to my java application and download page using java application and send the downloaded data to that browser.
I don't know any API that do this.
Please help...

Hi,
I used the code from http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip66.html to open a web browser to a specific URL. That worked great! However, I run into a problem if the URL targets a specific page, for example, "http://www.yahoo.com/news.html" would give me an problem with the shortcut problem. Any ideas how to get around that?
The command rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://www.yahoo.com/news/ would work fine, except anything ends with .htm or .html.

It looks like url.dll doesnt like .htm or .html files. For more info look here: http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBI/tip4100/rh4162.htm
For some reason it is confused by the 'm' character in .html which is odd considering it has no problems with .com
So if you want to keep using url.dll, do something like this:
replace ".htm" with ".ht%6D"

I have a web page lists all payment methods, when user select one of the payment type and then click the submit button, it will re-direct to the third party site for the payment. How do I update my web browser on my tungsten C? (What update to I use and where do I get it?) Images are not displayed properly on web pages and no popups are allowed. I am using the Vista palm 6.2 OS because I use Docs to Go. Chat support is no longer available for my device.

I still feel I can succeed with opera mini somehow--if someone can please instruct me on installing it. I renamed the .jar file to .zip extension and extracted it. I got about 9 or 13 files (sorry I'm not sure) with the extraction and a manifest file folder. I tried to hotsync the files to the card but it failed because the palm desktop 6.2 said there was no application to read the files on the Tungsten C. What do I do with the manifest file folder (that was not in the hotsync list)?
Do I have to use the .jad file and if I do, please explain how to use it or install it. Does the .jad file install on the computer or the handheld? Can you sense my intuition at play here (baffled). As I remember, when I tried to hotsync the .jad and .jar files to the handheld's card, it failed. I must have done something wrong and I don't know what that is. Also I established a connection to the internet with the built in browser and went to the address m.opera.com but I got a message that the file type was not supported and I couldn't install it that way. Backup your system/data then start up holding down Command + R and select to reinstall your OS X. You have not mentioned which OS X you are using. If you have somehow deleted the Safari App for some reason, you need to reinstall the OS X to reinstall Safari properly. You should not lose any data, but if you do, then that is what the backup is for.

Go to Macintosh HD -> Library -> LaunchAgents
Delete anything that starts with com.genio
Repeat for Macintosh HD -> Library -> LaunchDaemons
Repeat for username -> Library -> LaunchAgents
Repeat for username -> Library -> LaunchDaemons
Restart.
That should do it. Don't download any programs to uninstall it, as they're likely to be additional malware-type programs.
BTW I think it's spelled Genieo, so check for that too.

Runtime.getRuntime().exec("mybrowser myjavascriptfile.js");
The real question is why would you want to.
I would suggest you rethink whether running Javascript from Java is a good idea.

I am wondering if there is any way to add a web browser to your Java application.
I found http://www.javio.com/webwindow/webwindow.html but you have to pay for it in order to be able to use it( except a trial version that expires in a hour :s). But I didn't find another web browser on the internet ... :x
So any idea's / tips ?

you can fireup any web-browser from java... just Runtime.exec() it... the trick will be getting it to go to your URL.

i am actually trying to connect to the XE server through my JSP files.
i download the Oracle jdbc driver packages and put them in the same folder with JSP files. but i did not set the class path tho.
do i have to set the enviroment variables for the classpath of Oracledatasource class? thanks a lot.
another problem i got is installing the JDeveloper, it seemed my computer just got stuck there when installing JDeveloper. my laptop is with 256MB memory tho.
