How to control an existing GUI utility on Windows

Hi All,
I would like to schedule the control of a simple GUI utility on Windows XP that has only a Start/Stop button but no API. The effect is like clicking the Start/Stop button with a mouse.
Any ideas on how this could be done?

Thanks for your suggestion. Apologies for not having respond sooner.
I prefer not to use other languages/scripts outside of Java, if possible. A friend made the following suggestion but I haven't tried out due to lack of knowledge in writing Java Applet:
Write a java applet with a while/for loop that continuously loop on the condition that the status flag is set to start. The loop will monitor the button press status for the stop condition.
In between the loop it would just do the checking of the time and fire the function when it reaches that time.
Does this sound like a workable Java solution?

I then restarted my Mac, installed the latest drivers without issue and it all works just fine.

How Do I Remove Existing BootCamp Drivers in Windows 7?

I've just replaced my 2009 Mac Mini Server with the 2012 equivalent. I've successfully utilised WinClone to clone my BootCamp partition from one Mini to the other. My copy of Windows 7 Professional 64bit opens as expected, and I've successfully re-entered my Windows Product Key.
My only unresolved problem is in re-installing the BootCamp drivers. I have already downloaded the latest BootCamp drivers to my pen/thumb drive, and inserted it in my Mac Mini once Windows has started. On starting the BootCamp package, and attempting to install the drivers, I am alerted to 'a network problem' - which prevents me from installing the latest drivers.
I suspect the problem resides in an existing BootCamp Manager v4.0.0.0 being present on my Windows install (from my previous Mac Mini).
On locating the existing BootCamp Manager, Windows will not permit me to delete/remove the program and its associated files.
I would therefore appreciate some assistance on either issue: installing new drivers, and/or, removing the existing BootCamp drivers.

How to control font size in express vi windows popups?

My Windows XP user interface uses many popup messages generated by the "Display Msg" express vi. Is there a way to customize the appearance of those popups, e.g. larger font?

If I'm correct you can change any express VI into normal (static) VI's.
Open the front panel of the pop-up VI and select the text, now change the font from system into something different.

How to control ordering/sorting of re-minimized windows in dock

Here's a dock behavior that has annoyed me for a long time: when you access a minimized window from the dock and then minimize it again, the window gets placed at the end of the dock rather than at the slot where it came from. As I collect minimized windows in the dock, I get used to where they are, only to have them shuffled around upon re-minimization. Maybe it's the librarian in me that wants to put the book back on the shelf exactly in call-number order.
I did my best to search this forum for other postings related to this behavior, but I didn't come up with anything. Does anyone out there know if this dock behavior can be changed?

After minimizing the window again, you can click on it and drag it to a different slot in the right-hand side of the Dock. You can also drag a window to a different slot in the Dock as it's being minimized, but you may not be fast enough to do this unless you hold down the Shift key while minimizing it, which slows down the process.

How do I configure the Airport utility to allow more than one rule per port?

How do I configure the Airport Utility (AU) to allow more than one rule per port?
I am on a home network, with broadband cable modem. I have my airport extreme connected to the broadband modem. I have 2 servers in my home that need to be accessed remotely from time (SSH), and they also serve data for an iphone app, so I'm using a variety of protocols. The problem I'm running into is that AU seems to only allow one rule per protocol, so if I go to add another address for access on a specific port that is being used by one of my servers, AU tells me "The Port Mapping Entry Already Exists".
I need to be able to allow SSH on both of my servers, for instance. Am I missing something? Is this doable with AU?

The Port Mapping "rules" on the AirPorts will allow you to: 1. Map a single port to a single IP address OR 2) Map multiple ports to a single IP address.
What you won't be able to do is map a single or multiple ports to multiple IP addresses.

It looks like the installer can't connect to your existing database.
Can you ensure that your listener is servicing the already existing database.
lsnrctl status -> will list services
Make sure the database you want to use as your repository is there.

How to erase the existance of a Time capsule

I would like to know how to erase the existance of a Time capsule, like it never existed, because sometimes I can see remains of my old network, and I'd like to know how to reset all this,

Welcome to the discussions!
You will want to do two things to get the TC back to total factory defaults:
1)Return all configuration settings to factory defaults
2)Erase your disk. (Do this only if you want to erase all of your backups).
Power down the TC for a few minutes
Hold in the reset button and KEEP holding it in as you plug the power back in
Release the reset button after approximately 10 seconds
Your configuration is now reset to factory defaults.
To erase the disk:
Open AirPort Utility, click Manual Setup
Click the Disk icon at the top of the setup pane
Click the Disks tab just below the icons
Click Erase. Choose your erase options only if you want to erase all backups.
That's it.

How to control the sleep time exactly

i have a thread that sleeps for 15 minutes and wakes up does some thing( send some mails ) and sleep. the problem i am facing is the thread is not running exactly in 15minutes intervals.
EX:
14:12:06
( no mails sent )
14:27:06
( no mails sent )
14:42:06
( sends some mails )
14:57:29
(no mails )
15:12:29
so that means whenever there is some processing to bo done (sendng mails ) it takes more than 15minutes.
how to control this sleep time to exactly 15 minutes no matter what it does ?

If you need exact time to elapse, you have two options:
1. use util.Timer set at fixed intervals;
2. mark current System.millis (I never remember exact terms) when sending starts and then adjust sleeptime every time you are going to send next mail. Here you can find info on this

You can implement the logic to control duplication of G/L Master records either in
a) Function Exit EXIT_SAPMF02H_001 available within the SMOD enhancement SAPMF02H
b) P/S BTE 00002310 (Master Record G/L Account: Save)
The logic would be to identify if G/L Accounts with same Short/Long Texts already exist in the Company Code.

How to control an Apple Base Station with 3rd-party wireless card?

I recently upgraded my early 2004 Power Mac G5 2GHz DP to the 802.11n standard using a Newertechnology MAXPower 802.11n/g/b Wireless PCI Adapter to communicate with my new "n"-standard 2TB Time Capsule. My G5 shipped with an 802.11g-standard Airport Card which I disconnected when I installed the PCI card to avoid hardware conflicts. The new n-standard wireless set-up works without a problem, but having lost the Apple Airport Card, I no longer have the ability to control/manipulate the Timecapsule via the third-party card e.g. I cannot connect/disconnect my internet connection or otherwise troubleshoot the base station.
So, the question is, how can control an Apple base station with a third-party wireless card? As it stands now, I must boot up my laptop just to see if I have a connection.

Thanks for the assistance. Yes, I can indeed administer the Time Capsule from inside the Airport Utility, but I am still unable to connect or disconnect the Internet connection like you can with an Airport card (using the Airport drop-down menu.) If my ISP signal drops for whatever reason (which is does often) I have to boot up my laptop just to reconnect. Is there some feature within the Airport Utility that permits one to connect/disconnect the signal? If there is, I haven't found it yet.

restore the switch by holding more than 30 seconds and try accessing with ip 192.168.1.254. username and password is "cisco". before change your base ip to 192.168.1.2-253.try to ping and check the connectivity
