Hi and welcome to Forum!
You should learn RMAN (Recovery Manager) to do your backup with Oracle suggested way
Then you can restore and recover this backup in any instance
For more information, you can refer to below listed documentations :

    Hi All,

I went across the forums and came to know that it is not available now-a-days as it was coming previously.
So, anybody can help me, how to create a recovery disc?
This is needed when I format my laptop.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Umesh.

Click on what used to be the "Start" button and search for "create" or "recovery". It took me a while to find it but it is there.
Use a cd for the first disc and 2 DVD's for the other discs.

  • How to Create a Back button in Flash

    Hi all,
I need to create a back button for my flash app. It doesn't
need to be connected with Browser. It just need be able to remember
what frame they were viewing, and bring them back.
Is there any event I can use for this? I made an variable
called "visited:Number" and change it on every frame, but this
won't work. Once the user enters a new frame, the original visited
number is replaced by current already. I don't know how to hold
that number, before they leave the current frame.
Can anybody give me little clue/direction please?
    Thank you...

    Hi
I believe that you should look at the Forms functionality for UCM . Under Content Management - Web Form Editor will show up the editor where in you can add buttons and attach functionalities to it . With UCM 11g this is not available thus you might need to use AJAX to build the requirement .
    Thanks

  • How to create a blu-ray disc with multiple source files

    Hello,
How is it possible to create a blu-ray disc, AVCHD recordable DVD with multiple source files from Final Cut Pro 10. Is it possible to create a menu with several chapters corresponding to the sequences (source files)?
Thank you in advance for your support.

Assume you're talking about using the Create Blu-Ray batch template. It's not possible to do with multiple source filles. But if I understand your objectives, you could pretty much get what you think want – discrete movie segments on a single disk with navigation.
The way I'd approach it is by making multiple projects in FCP and then copying the finished versions into a new project, separated by gaps. (You could also use compound clips but I'm not a fan except for very short sequences, which is why I'm suggesting the copy route.) Then export and bring into Compressor.
In Compressor mark your chapters at the gaps between your individual sequences. Then choose the AVCHD option in job actions.
Bear in mind that you'll have to keep the recording time under roughly 30-35 minutes @a5 Mbts/sec
    Good luck.

  • How can I go back to a previous iTunes?

I hate the new iTunes, it's version 11, I think.
So many features which made manipulation of my music easy (based on size or time) are gone.
I have no idea how many megs my playlist is.  That's not user friendly and makes it harder to use iTunes to burn, where size needs to be known.
And searching provides hard to use info...it was much more fruitful before.
And dragging and dropping is also harder.
And every move I make seems to encourage me to go to The iTunes Store.
How can I go back to a previous version?

I hate it too. I can't sync my IPOD. I can't see if tracks are checked to be synced or not.  I can't put albums in alphabetical order.  Hate it.

My iphone was stolen. The thief reset the password on my itunes accounnt, then they changed the DOB, the security question and the recovery email. They also spent my itunes credit buying aps. I know this because I still get email notifications of what is being done with the account. How do I get back control of my account?

    Go here:

  • How to create a back-up version of your helpsystem

My institution is going through a conversion of our core systems in September of this year and I need to develop a process for updating the 700 helpfiles I have within my helpsystem.  Is there a way to create a mirror image of my helpsystem so that I can work con-currently on both helpsystems?  This way when it comes time for conversion in September, I can simply publish the mirror image copy that has been updated with the correct procedures and the old version would no longer be live.
I am currently using RH7 but we are in the process of being updated to RH9 but I am not there yet.  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks so much!

    Hello again
Personally, I dislike just double-clicking the XPJ to open things up. It may work fine on your system and if it does, I'd say go for it. But I'm notorious for installing many different versions of RoboHelp and other apps on the same system. So I have avoided working that way to open projects because I want to easily control what version of RoboHelp opens when I open a project. My way of working involves first opening RoboHelp (the version I want to use for the session) then opening the project.
Can't help you there with adding the project back to source control. I'm aware of Source Control. I know how it's supposed to work in theory. But I've never used it with RoboHelp. At least not in the recent methods where it's all integrated and RoboHelp operates on your behalf by checking things in and out and all that rot. Personally, I've always avoided integrating because it adds a new level of complexity to the mix. This thread is an excellent example of just one of the many reasons.
Certainly I think I'd try by reversing the steps. And as with anything where you are modifying files, I cannot stress this enough. backups Backups BACKUPS!!!!!
Cheers and best of luck to you... Rick

  • How to create Factory Default Recovery Disc with OneKey Recovery 4.0

I have a K430 and before I use it it (as with any machine I have bought) I wanted to make my recovery disc(s).
Throughout this website there are guides to do this with version 7, but this desktop has version 4.0 of OKR
I can save an image of my system partition but need the ability to install on to a clean hard drive in case of hard drive failure.
I have checked the Kb and forums and been through the Windows 8 programs but nothing points me the right way.
This is compounded by the fact that none of my drive imaging tools like the Seagate drive that was shipped in this machine (Ghost4Linux, CloneZilla, Acronis Easy Migrate)
Where is my option to create said media?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Just to close this one.
I spoke to customer support on the phone as this post remained unanswered,
There are no recovery disc to buy or create for this machine, so should the hard drive fail you would need to source your own discs.
This machine will now be returned, a lost sale for the sake of a DVD.
Must say the guy I spoke to on the phone was really helpful and courteous, sadly held back by company policy.

  • How to create a Lion Boot Disc?

    Hi there,
When Lion was release I updated from the App Store.
I recently had to Repair my HDD using Disc Utilities and DU wanted me to boot from an install disc . . . guess what . . . no install disc.
(Well I do have my Leopard install disc)
How does one create an install disc for Lion if it was instaled via the App Store?
    Thanks!
    Matthew

One can make a "hold the option or c key bootable" Lion boot DVD with a factory Lion Mac (or a Mac with Lion already installed) following these combined directions.
One will need a blank external GUID OS X Extended journaled (aka: "JHFS+") formatted drive and standard 4.7GB DVD(s)
    Step 1:
It's very easy to use the Mac App Store's smarts to our own advantage and gain access to a copy of that hardware specific OS build. Here's what to do:
Boot the hardware you need an image for from the Recovery HD by holding Command-r at power on time.
Plug in a JHFS+ formatted external disk.
Select the Re-install OS X Lion option and target the external disk.
Once the Installer finishes downloading, simply shutdown and unplug the disk.
Now when you mount that external disk you will find a directory named Mac OS X Install Data on the root. Inside of this folder is the elusive, hardware-specific, InstallerESD.dmg image that you can feed to SIU or any other imaging tool of choice. Having this installer will now allow you to build out re-deployment images for all of your hardware until rollup installers are available.
    http://www.afp548.com/article.php?story=getting-lion-installers
    Step 2:
Inside the Contents folder that appears you will find a SharedSupport folder and inside the SharedSupport folder you will find the “InstallESD.dmg.” This is the Lion boot disc image we have all been waiting for.
Copy “InstallESD.dmg” to another folder like the Desktop.
Launch Disk Utility and click the burn button.
Select the copied “InstallESD.dmg” as the image to burn, insert a standard sized 4.7 GB DVD, and wait for your new Lion Boot Disc to come out toasty hot.

  • How to create and back up a media server?

I have a ton of photos and videos that I would like to share among several Mac's and PC's in my house over a wireless network. I would like to create a wireless shared media server which will run day and night without having to keep any computers on. At the same time, I would like to back up this media store on a regular basis. I would also like to sync some of the content to my Apple TV.
The solution I've come up with (at least theoretically) is to connect an external 500 GB drive to an Airport Extreme Base Station and use it as an Airport disk. I will dump all of my media files onto it. The problem is, how do I back this up?
Well, I have pre-purchased the 1 TB Time Capsule. What I'm hoping is possible, is for me to be able to have my MacBook Pro access my Airport disk, and back it up through Time Machine to my Time Capsule, wirelessly. Will this be possible?
I have found hundreds of messages about people trying to use Time Machine to back up data TO an Airport disk, but not FROM an Airport disk - so I want to know if this is possible?
Next, I need to sync my media Airport disk to my Apple TV. I assume I can just use my MacBook Pro to mount the Airport disk and use it as the source for syncing to my Apple TV?
Now, you may ask why I don't just get the Time Capsule and place all my media files onto it, in addition to using it for backup. Well, if the drive crashes, I will not only lose my backups, I will also lose all my original media files. Unless it is possible to back up the Time Capsule itself to an external drive for extra safety?
Sorry if this is confusing, but my basic questions are:
    1. Is it possible to back up an Airport disk using Time Machine?
    2. Is it possible to back up a Time Capsule to an external drive?
    3. Is it possible to sync a shared drive (Airport disk or Time Capsule) to an Apple TV?
    4. Can I run two wireless base stations (an Airport Extreme and Time Capsule) in my house?
    Thanks in advance.

It is possible to create a media server, backup its contents, etc. but probably not the ways you are considering. There's hurdles to setting up anything of the nature you're considering.
First my responses to your questions followed by how I did it.
    1. Is it possible to back up an Airport disk using Time Machine? No
    2. Is it possible to back up a Time Capsule to an external drive? If I understand this question, you are asking if there is a backup for the backup. I doubt it based on #1.
    3. Is it possible to sync a shared drive (Airport disk or Time Capsule) to an Apple TV? Only if the airdisk is mounted on the Mac to which you use to sync the Apple TV.
    4. Can I run two wireless base stations (an Airport Extreme and Time Capsule) in my house? Yes, but your bandwidth will be reduced if both are operating at the same time, particularly if one is configured as a bridge. With some special configuring of both devices you may be able to not use the wireless of one unit if it is connected via the ethernet ports. I have not tried this.
I have over 500 GB of video, 16 GB of audio, and about 4000 photos. I've solved this media center desire as follows:
    1. MacMini with 2 external hard drives, 1 contains the media and the other is the backup drive used by TM.
    2. Front Row is used on the MacMini and the Mini is attached to a large screen TV
    3. Other Macs in the house mount the media and backup drives from the Mini
    4. All of the Mac's iTunes are configured so they only store references to the files on the mounted media drive. Each time files are added to the media drive I simply drag the files from the media drive to the iTunes Library. This eliminates the 'sharing' of the iTunes library and allows each person to create their own Playlists. iPhoto is configured similarly to iTunes and new files are dragged to its Library.
    5. All the Macs are set to use TM on the backup drive attached to the Mini. The Mini's attached media drive is backed up via TM to the backup drive (again, both are attached to the mini).
I've tried the airport disk path previously and I found that it was necessary to occasionally remove the external disk and connect to a Mac to repair it in some fashion. I have not tried the new airdisk product itself -- just the original airport and an attached ext drive.
BTW, 2 of 4 of my Macs are laptops and none of them have any problem backing up to the Mini's backup drive via TM. I do, however, keep my video editing directories out of the laptop's TM backups; otherwise backups would take many hours as opposed to the typical 1-2 minutes.
Sorry I have not answered this in the way perhaps that you hoped but I have found my configuration to be very stable. The use of an airdisk as you described is the ultimate but I don't think all the tools are there to go all the way.
If you're interested in more detail, please ask.

  • How to create an updated installation disc?

    + Hello everyone,
I will like to know how can I create an updated driver + application installation disc?
That way, everytime I have to re-install windows, I will have the updated version of everything.
My card is a Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium and running Vista x86.

I don't know if JComboBox will work. I need to edit the first line, and, as I'm typing, a query like "select Name from Owners where Name like ' "+OwnerName.getText+"%'
The results of this query should appear in a drop down in the same Combo that I'm editting... Just like the Address field of the browser... got it?

  • How to create a back up disk of a Boot Up drive?

Hi all, I have a G5 with a start up drive A, i've created a new start up on a separate partition, drive B.
Installed the OS from Jaguar, Panther through to Tiger.
Now before I start installing all my audio applications, i'd like to back up Drive B to a DVD disk, is this possible?
So if i ever need to do a full re-install, i can skip the old OS installs and restore from the DVD. How would I do this?
    Any help is throughly appreciated.
    Thanks

    G5 Dual 2.0Ghz (Oct/03) - 4.5GB ram   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   17in MBP C2D

What you are proposing sounds a bit convoluted; I'm not so sure I understand you fully.
I'll share with you my "belt-and-suspenders" method of backing up:
My boot drive is 40GB. My backup firewire drive is 230GB. I have the backup drive partitioned into two volumes; one 40GB and the other 190BG.
Every day I use SuperDuper to clone my entire boot drive to the 40GB partition. After it is done, I have an exact copy. If my boot drive fails, I can boot into the clone and continue working until I get the internal drive replaced.
But SuperDuper and other cloning programs have their limits. They protect well against hardware failure. But a far more common cause of data loss is user error; like when you accidentally delete a file. If you don't notice until after your next backup, SuperDuper will have purged the file from the clone. Software failure is another concern; like when your whole iPhoto library gets corrupted. Again, unless you catch it before the next scheduled backup, SuperDuper will replace the good library in the clone with the corrupted version.
That's why I also use Retrospect to make nightly archival backups. Every day it copies any new or changed folders over to an archive on the second partition. I can restore any file, folder, application, or even the whole drive, to any daily state in the last two months. If an important file gets corrupted or deleted, and I don't notice for 11 days, I just restore the 12-day old version from the archive.
That seems like it should cover it all, but there is also the problem of losing both the Mac and the backup drive to theft or fire. That's why I also have Retrospect back up my whole system to DVDs once a week or so, and store them off site. Retrospect's DVD backup system is quite good; it will continually append new or changed data to the same DVD until it is full and then prompt for a new DVD. So there's no need to re-burn a whole new set of DVDs every time.
This might seem like overkill, but my data is important to me and I can't imagine losing it all. You should have seen what happened when I accidentally deleted my wife's iMovie project of her whole pregnancy, and didn't have it backed up. I don't ever want to have to live through that again.

  • How to create a back up cd ??

Hey everybody, I need some help !!!! I just got a used Macbook Pro 7.1 and I did not get from the previous owner the discs that come with the computer. Is there any way that I can do a back up o mirror image of the hard drive like it is now (he format it and its like when you turn it on for the first time) Just in case I'll have to re load OS X down the road. Can I do that to a CD ?? and how??
Many thanks in advance guys !!!!

I did not get from the previous owner the discs that come with the computer.
Not having the original discs drastically lowers the value of the computer.    These original master discs cannot be made from your computer you can try to buy them on eBay or telephoning Apple.
Recommend that you backup the entire computer using "Carbon Copy Cloner" as this might be your only way to recover things should your hard drive fail.

  • How to create a new startup-disc?

    Hello folks!
I'm working with Leopard (10.5.2) and have a new GeForce 8800Gt installed. Because of this my Leopard-installation disk does not work any more. For the 8800GT one has to use 10.5.2 and on the installation-disk is only 10.5! Another reason is that there must be the graphics update installed. So now I can't use my disk repair software "from outside" also my DiskWarrior startup-CD does not work anymore - for the same reason.
Has anybody got an idea how I can create a new StartUp disk with Leopard 10.5.2 on it? So I could put my DiskWarrior on this CD and repair my start-volume, if necessary?! Any help is extremely welcome!
    Jones

Making a bootable DVD or CD is not a trivial task. There was a utility for Panther (10.3) called BootCD that allowed one to easily do this, but it has never worked for any later OS X.
To do it for Leopard is going to need some pretty high-level programming skills. Im pretty sure it's beyond a simple "how-to" guide that one might expect to be able to find online.
Stick with the bootable external drive.
